So nice! Great restaurant! Outdoor terrace on the water where you can dine or have drinks. The friendliest staff ever!

CLEAN! Staff was fabulous - view was great. Cannot thinka thing. It was all very clean and upscale. Room was spacious - I napped in a comfortable chair next to the window viewing the river. Went to the lounge for drinks and appetizers - staff was wonderful, food was great.

I stay here on buisness one week a year and have for the last 4 or 5 years. Its a very pleasurable place to be. Clean, comfortable and quiet hotel with an excellent staff. Not a bargin but its worth the xtra bucks. I even bumped up to the conceirge room for an xtra $ bucks. That got me a room on the concierge floor which took your room key to even get access to the floor. And at the end of the hall on that floor was a special little lounge for "just us" on that floor.. It had sodas, coffee tea and little snacks all included in the cost of the room. Donuts, bagles, cereal etc. in the mornings, little snack finger foods of an evening. I dont think I consumed $ bucks worth of snacks a day, but having them there was very handy and eliminated hunting fror change for a vending machine. You also got a sleep by number bed in your room.....I ended up not being much of a fan of the SBN bed but its there. The hotel is within easy driving distance of anything you could ever need and a few things in walking distance and the old railroad thats a walking track is right behind the hotel. Food at the hotel is good but overpriced. But all in all a really nice place to stay.

Unhelpful staff; long walk from dingy and expensive parking lot; average, but clean room; reservation lost (on two occasions).

The Waterfront Place Hotel, MORGANTOWN, WV is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are decorated beautifully and always clean. The front desk staff has always been pleasant and very welcoming. I would recommend this hotel highly.

Location, bars, restaurants and room. The fire alarm went off 2 times in the night during our stay.

I recently stayed at this hotel during a weekend trip with my friends. We arrived at the hotel 4 hours before check-in and found out that our rooms were ready early (I know, that doesn't happen often, but it was a good start to our weekend!). The lady at the desk was very courteous. The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are very nice and spacious. I stayed in one of the standard rooms, with 2 queen beds. Wonderful amenities. Also, I needed to have some documents copied and faxed for work and the staff was more than willing to help me out with this. They were also helpful with directions and calling cabs for us during our evenings out. I will definitely stay here again should the opportunity arise! I can't say anything bad about my experience with this hotel!

Over it was OK. Rooms were large, good views. Restaurant far too pricey for WVa. Pool was sour smelling.

The Waterfront Place Hotel was a clean, comfortable, and friendly hotel. The staff made sure that you had all the comforts of home in the large rooms. The pillow top mattresses was like sleeping on a cloud. My daughter loved the heated pool could not get her out except to go to the resturant for dinner. The location was very good only a couple of blocks from my sons school.

Restaurants were great as was the location in regards to the reason we were there. Firealarms forcing evacuation both nights we stayed with no fire. The hotel had a good location in regards to WV University. Plenty of parking was available. They had a great breakfast bar that was very reasonably priced. Nice fitness center, pool and hot tub. Very accommodating as our air conditioner was not working when we arrived to our room. A new upgraded room was given.

Had a very good stay. The front desk personnel were very helpful. The rooms were clean and nice. The lounge is a cigar bar so if you do not like the smoke go to the other bar. The food in the restaurant was excellent but the prices were a bit high. A secure parking garage is about one block away.

I have stayed at Waterfront Place a number of times. The facility is clean, modern and very close to downtown (walking distance). We travel to Morgantown because our son is a student at WVU. We always enjoy our stay and the food is first rate. Large rooms with great views.

The one and only thing that was not told to me right was about the parking. I understood that as long as I stayed at the hotel and use my hotel key there was no charge. I know the first time I was there I was charged for valet parking which I understood. But the parking lot was not explained the right way this time for the car I was using. This will not stop me from staying there again because it is a great place.

My family and I stayed at the Waterfront Place Hotel and what a great experience!! The staff was very friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to accommodate us in every way. The food in the Regatta Bar & Grille far supassed our expectations. Not at all what you would expect from a hotel restaurant. The Prime Rib is the best I've ever had! Our room was clean and very comfortable. We look forward to returning to the Waterfront Place Hotel on our next visit to the area.

I would not stay in this hotel ever again , nor would i recommend it to anyone!! The staff is very rude, and noticably hateful to their housekeeping employees. I did notice a very disturbing unhealthy action taken by one of the supervisors. I dont consider it to be healthy and clean when an employee is standing by a snack machine picking his nose. I will not be staying here ever again!!!

We loved the size of the rooms and the location. The swimming pool was in an isolated location that was a bit creepy to access.

Last August, I made a reservation to stay at the Waterfront Hotel as part of the Council for Exceptional Children's annual conference. Imagine my shock, that without ANY notice, our whole group had been moved to other accomodations in the area, some as many as 20 miles away from the conference site, due to the installation of a new President of WVU and their need to clear a block of rooms. (The person with whom I was traveling had called that morning to confirm her reservation and was told they had it.) While two other groups were able to stay as scheduled (and, of course, we weren't cancelled for the daily conferences) it is obvious to me that the educators of children with handicaps are not as much of a priority as a soccer team or the Dept. of Highways. I received not a word of apology.

The proximity to downtown Morgantown. No fridge in the room.

Pool, restaurant, immediate valet parking. Bathroom amenities. Valet met us immediately and took our bags to our room. The pool allowed our 4-8 year old swim for quite some time before having enough. The restaurant was a little pricey but the food and wine were fantastic.
