I took my grandson. I wanted a room that was afordable and clean. I am a no frills type of person so this was perfect. My mother, myself and my grandson stayed at this exact same motel in 1998 when my grandson was a baby, he is now 11 years old. He thought the room and location were just great. He really enjoyed the indoor pool which was nice since the weather was rainy. We had a great time and would book a reservation again with this motel.

Room was clean and everything worked, a feature quite often missing in budget, old style motels. The room was not designed for a king size bed, so it was a little cramped, and extension cords were strung around out of necessity. We thought they had a great breakfast setup, for the basic continental breakfast.

Yes...this hotel is right on the water, but the beach is muddy, rocky and foul-smelling. There are a lot of sea gulls using the area as a toilet and there is a sewage pipe that runs into the water right by the "beach". The "continental breakfast" was mostly stale pastries, fruit loops and other stale cereals, some juice and coffee. There is a waffle maker, but the non-stick coating on it has long degraded and the waffles stick. The place to "enjoy" all this fine fare is about the size of a couple of closets. The rooms, linens, towels and carpet were damp, damp, damp! The A/C is marginal at best and so noisy one can hardly hear another person speak. The TV channels are all "snowy"; the fridge either freezes everything or leaves it warm. The room reeked of some kind of cleaning substance. This place was awful, but we couldn't move to another motel because everything was booked. The owners probably mean well, but the place caters to bikers and drinkers. It does NOT have "spectacular views" of Lake MI. The advertising for this place is VERY misleading. Stay away if you're not one of those.

Well we did not stay much at he hotel(2 days).While we were there though we usually were at the pool which was amazing and on our balcony. The rooms were spotless and the breakfast was very good. This hotel was much better then the one we stayed at previously at another city. The front desk service was very helpful because when we booked it we didn't book it in the room we stayed at we were switched to the room we spent the night in. The pool was spotless also and the hot tub was very clean and warm! The problems were that the pictures can be very disbelieving the hotel looked very nice on the pictures but the hotel was so good looking on the outside and also the hotel was very far away from the attractions(fairy docks, dining, shops, etc.) But over all it was a pleasant stay and fairly cheap. Would stay again.
