I hope this gets back to the folks that work at the Warwick Melrose. This is right up there with one of the best stays I have ever had in a hotel in the world! Not pretentous, quite lovely, antique, yet updated and VERY clean, it was a most marvelous Deluxe King! Housekeeping, all the front desk, bell captain, and valet folks were all the BEST! An OUTSTANDING value!

I am a frequent traveler to Dallas for business and always like staying in the area that the Warwick Melrose Hotel is located. My husband and I used to stay there over the OU-Texas weekend every year but we hadn't stayed there for about 8 years. I had fond memories of the large corner rooms and bathrooms with good lighting. My business companion and I arrived very late on a Tuesday evening and there were only two rooms left. We went to our room and immediately smelled paint. We called to change rooms but we were told there was only one other room available and it also had been painted recently. Also we needed two beds and there was a king. We realized the shower was broken also and so we had to move to the other room. The mattress was the worst mattress I have ever slept on. After a night of no sleep we called the front desk and requested to be moved to a room that had 2 beds with new mattresses. We were given a free breakfast because of our bad experience and they were very accomodating about moving us to a bigger room that had nice beds. The next two nights were great and we enjoyed the Library Bar one evening after dinner out. The staff was very friendly and I would stay there again if I was guaranteed a new mattress. I don't think they should have had anyone staying on the floors that had just been painted. I don't agree with mandatory valet parking that is a few feet away and it is ridiculous to be charged an additional $ every night for it.

hotel was convenient from Love Field and to office, but being an older property, electrical outlets were in hard-to-reach places. Bathroom was large but no counter around sink. Instead, table was provided under another mirror opposite sink. Lighting could be improved and lighted magnifying mirror was positioned too low on wall to be of any use. Hair dryer was at sink side of bathroom. Internet access cost extra, as did bottled water. Closet was large, but had no light and had to depend on light in hall to shine into closet.

The Warwick Melrose, or just the "Melrose" to people living in Dallas is a great place for the busy professional who needs a classy quite place to come back to at the end of a long day. The Melrose is a beautiful hotel with comfortable stylish rooms. The Library is the perfect lounge to meet in the late afternoon for casual business meetings. Comfortable chairs, piano music in the background and excellent food. Each day has different drink specials. The restaurant, the Landmark is top rank. Food is excellent. Wine list is good but many of the wines are over priced. This was my second stay here in less than a month and I will be back. The Melrose is very easy to get to from Love Field, just take Cedar Springs to Oak Lawn, less than three miles.

I want to be closer to the market center where I was working. It was historic, clean and everyone I came in contact with was friendly.

The hotel was stunning and really met my expectations room wise. I did not like the fact that you had to pay 20 dollars a night for parking. All in all this place is awesome to stay at. The rooms are beautiful. The view of Dallas is outstanding. The only downfall is parking is 20 dollars a night.

I grew up in Dallas and always go home for vacation, so I've stayed in a few Dallas area hotels and this is one of my favorites. Extremely central location, right between the happening Uptown and the buisness-oriented downtown. The hotel has character, which means some stuff is a bit creaky but I like a place that has seen a few decades. The bar (a converted Library) is top notch and actually worth going to even for non-guests, which is a rarity for hotel bars. My only real complaint is the fitness center is only acceptable and there is no in-house spa / masseuse. Other that that it's a very solid hotel for the price.

I am extremely happy of having booked through you. This is a first class hotel and was a great deal given the price paid. I couldn't be happier. Next time travelling to Dallas I know where to book and where to stay. This was one of those rare occasions in which everything exceeded my expectations.

It was beautiful, great location, classical music played in my room all night-loved it. This is one was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff was friendly, the hotel and grounds were beautiful.

The rooms are connected via vents and I had three rooms in as many days because of cigarette smoke infiltrating my room. The housekeepers are inconsistent and the furniture is old and in need of repair. There were two outlets in the rooms - one in the bathroom - not good for the business traveler who has a laptop, cell, etc.

I have always loved this hotel. It has much personal history for me ... My parents married there, my grandparents lived there is the early 70s, my nephew had his wedding reception there. I stay at the Melrose as often as I can. It is lovely with understated elegance. The service was very responsive. This is the first time I have stayed there since the Melrose became a Warwick property and I was not disappointed.

Excellent location, friendly staff, and quality bed and linens. Area is in a busy business/residential area - was loud in the mornings. My partner and I stayed at the hotel for a short weekend get-a-way. The hotel was nicely appointed and the staff was very professional.

Very little. Rooms and areas not clean, parking rate, restaurant. Very little quality compared to other 4 stars in the area. The $7 water bottle in the room becomes $10, because of service charge, parking $22, lousy restaurant at crazy prices. Stay away.
