In general, our stay was completely distasterous. Our stay, (which lasted two hours), we encountered several major problems with the staff assitance and also the room which forced us to leave in disgust. We booked two days in advance yet discovered our booking was never made on their computer. The parking facility below the building was dirty and disorganised with only one lift access. When we finally allocated a room, we had trouble getting to it because our lift card refused to work. There was only one lift to the carpark on the left side of two other lifts. The room did not have airconditioning that worked, (even though we were told it did) and we sweltered in the 38 degree celcius heat. The only access to the pool was up two flights of steep stairs which appeared to be part of the building's fire escape. The only factor that made it a 4 1/2 star hotel was the location in central Canberra.

Our stay at the Waldorf Apartments was excellent the room was very clean and was a good size, equipt with a small kitchette, great if you were staying longer than one night.

The one thing that was disappointing was that the toilet kept on running all day and night every thing else was fine, would have thought that eggs were included for breakfast

Very friendly staff good value for money we got parking and breakfast included which I wasn't expecting. Only those with keys can use the lifts, so no strangers on the premises.

The room service meal was delicious and served in great time. The room was clean & tidy and reception service was very good and friendly.

I was not impressed with the fact that I had to pay for parking in the motel carpark. If it was a carpark elsewhere I would not of had a problem with this
