Having stayed at a more expensive motel 2 minutes drive from Wakulla I did not expect the quality of this hotel to be so high. Previous hotel (fawlty towers) only had one tiny room for 2 adults & 3 children and was damp. The hotel is perfect for a family stay, 2 large bedrooms both with walk in wardrobes lounge kitchen and bathroom. Although stated in the text there was no restaurant or bar in the hotel. Perfect for self catering though with communal bar b q's in the gardens, many restaurant also in the area. Excellant location right on the beach. Although we only stayed for one night for the shuttle launch will definately be back for a longer stay next time!

I have used the Wakulla many times over 44 years. I have not been back since my youth until now and was very happy to find the rooms immaculate!! My only suggestion is the furnishings are all outdated. And the mattresses were very hard.

The way that the hotel have the outside the tree and they also have grill to do BBQ isgreat. The parking lot it was no space available. It is a good hotel for a week with the familyI will love to go again thank you.

We went for a girls weekend in January. The room was large and the beds were comfortable. There is a full size fridge and a publix just down the road so you can easily buy breakfast food and pack a lunch to eat on the beach. They no longr provide breakfast. We liked the cocoa beach pier for eating dinner and listening to music. Beach front means the unit is between the road and the beach, but you will not have a beach view. You will be looking at a parking lot. The extra expense was worth it if you plan to spend the day at the beach and want to be able to walk back up to your room to get drinks, use the facilities etc and it was super quiet at night. However, the view from the courtyard rooms was way better and if you are going down for an extended period of time and want to meet other retirees make sure that you pick courtyard, not beach side.

Great place for all travelers. Very convenienent to all attractions along the beach. The courtyard is beautiful and kept very clean. Rooms are spacious with large closets. Looking forward to our visit again.

Room had a loud "humming" and the toilet ran through the night. Sofa very dirty and had plywood under cushions. Had a difficult time finding a parking spot each time we returned to the hotel. Overall, was worth the money. Friendly staff! Loved the saltwater fishtank in the lobby...very tranquil!!

Curtain rods falling off the wall, furniture needed to be replaced twenty years ago.

The hotel is very worth the money! Very friendly staff & the other travelers were very nice...very much like a family environment! The suite floor could use a better mop, but overall is was a nice place to stay! There is only 1 tv in the living room...no tv's in the bedrooms, so that was a little difficult. I'd definitely stay there again! And the gardens are gorgeous & very aromic!

This hotel was right on the beach, had a Great Pool. I have three kids, 9, 8, 6 and they loved it! Staff was very nice. Would go back!

Loved the location(Close to Beach,Pier and Port), pool, gardens and large living quarters. Extremely rowdy on the weekend with copious amounts of drinking. The stay was pleasant and quiet during the week. Furniture in front room old and torn. A TV in one bedroom(for Kids)would be nice. Overall we enjoyed the hotel and the staff was great!

Clean, friendly staff, problems fixed promptly, adorable, huge space for price. Furniture a little uncomfortable. I was pleasantly surprised to find such a spacious, adorable hotel at such a great rate! Its decor is cute, kitchy Hawaiian, with an in-ground pool and well manicured garden courtyard nestled between the hotel rooms. It's even beachfront! Each room is actually a suite, complete with full kitchen, bathroom, two bedrooms and a living room. Decor is rather outdated and the beds definitely aren't 5-star, but everything is clean. We had an issue with our first room where the air conditioning wasn't working, and they had maintenance staff arrive very promptly (they warned us maintenance left at 10 pm).

We were excited at the prospect of staying here because they had suites and my son could have his own room. When we arrived, my husband was greeted with "we'll need a credit card for incidentals" and then made to sign 4 waivers before we could get a key. This would be fine if the room didn't already wreak of smoke (we are non-smokers). It had dirty, broken and stained furniture, and absolutely filthy floors. In the bathroom, the ends of the shower rod were pitted in rust (the rest of the rod was covered in contact paper to cover it ) the mirror was old and peeling, and the the floor under the sink was black with dirt. When we noticed that there was no cable for the internet, my husband called the front desk only to be told that maintenance keeps them locked up, and since it is after 5PM, we'd have to wait until they arrived at 7:30 the next morning to receive one. We stayed here while visiting KSC to see a launch and the close proximity to the space center was the only bonus. The pool did look nice, but the liveliness of the courtyard was dampened by the many signs demanding you keep your children away from the plants. If the other hotels in the area weren't already booked, we probably would have left early. The comments about being oceanside are misleading, our room was a full block and a half off of the ocean. Upon checkout, the person simply took the keys and said okay. My husband asked for a receipt and was told that we could only get one through our on line travel website because we booked through them. No "have a nice day." No "how was your stay." We will not be returning.

The staff is very friendly and courteous. It's like a tropical paradise. We enjoyed spending a lot of time outside and by the pool. My 3 year old daughter LOVED the pool! We already made reservations to come back!

Great place to stay. Excellent location. The rooms are very large with great functioning kitchens. The only thing I would like to see is the couches need to be cleaned. We used the flat sheet from the twin bed we didn't use to cover the couch before sitting on it. The hotel has great amenities and location location location! Would stay again and recommend.

Comfy beds, nice pool, extra towels, agreed to help print boarding passes for return flight, interesting property/landscaping. No kitchen cooking utensils, very musty smelling, unusable couch and uncomfortable chairs, ongoing construction on site. Would not recommend this hotel--and would not stay there again. However, it is clear this is a cared-for place--it needs a lot of upgrading to compete. Good location to beach, shopping, dining--but there is ongoing refurbishing work--and dumpsters were placed right outside of our bedrooms--the majority of this hotel was empty--with consideration--we could have easily have been placed in a quieter room.

We were very thrilled with our stay at Wakulla Suites. The suites were HUGE, like mini apartments. If you are looking for a 5 star "chocolates on the pillow" place, Wakulla isn't for you. The furniture is old. But we found the accomodations clean and very comfortable. There was plenty of room to spread out, and the beach is very close by (although "beachfront" for those suites isn't exactly correct. There are no beach views.) The staff was nice, especially the cleaning and maintenance staff. Internet is free, but there is no wireless. There are gas grills to use, along with a nice pool, shuffleboard, an arcade and a beautiful garden. The rooms are quiet and the beds are comfortable. The kitchens have a stove, full size fridge and microwave, and dishes-the Publix and Winn Dixie are nearby. So are 2 7-11's, a Taco Bell and Ron Jon Surf Shop. It's a safe area. I would highly recommend Wakulla to anyone traveling with a family (my kids are 9, 5 and 3). We loved it there and next trip to Florida, we'll be going back there.

2 bedrooms, kitchen, 4 beds. Profanity by some guests, limited parking. Hotel was nice. Carpet in rooms was stained, need cleaned or replaced. As soon as we arrived and got out of our cars, several other guests were outside use very vulgar profanity. They went on for over 10 minutes. This was not a very good first impression. I had friends with me and it was most embarrassing since I had reserved the rooms. I thought we had picked the wrong hotel.

I never write reviews and travel for pleasure alot but with all the glowing reviews, which were totally misleading for me, I wanted you to know what I found. First off, be sure to know that the check in is at 4 but our room was not ready until 5pm after waiting for 5 hours. And when I asked why it was taking so long, I was told that they had a skeleton crew of 3 working to get rooms ready for 70 check-ins! The room was FILTHY. Looked like old gum on the tile floor, furniture that was so dirty with stains i could not identify and did not want to. I took pictures because I have NEVER seen anything like this, including the mirror in the bathroom was broken with jagged edges. Guess since it was facing the wall, thats Ok. If you have children, please be careful because there is a closet with i guess the heating/cooling unit and has flimsy folding doors. Not safe in my opinion. The pool was nice and the hotel is across the street from the beach. Did not get pillow cases until the next day . If you are lookiing for inexpensive 2 bedrooms with kitchen (the kitchen was clean as far as I could tell. I do not use kitchens on vacation so could not tell if anything worked or not) and do not mind filth, this is the right place for you.
