The hotel is clearly an old property that W is trying to upgrade. The lobby, lounge, and pool area look and feel right, but the rooms are just old. I had a 'Mega Suite' with a kitchenette, with appliances right out of 1979, and the desk / work area was cramped and the chair was unbarable for more than 45 minutes at a time. If you have to be in the Perimeter area, it is an acceptable hotel, but there are other brands in the vicinity that have better properties. An even better solution is to stay downtown or in Buckhead, where there are many hotels that are really beautiful and good value for the money.

Rooms are very clean and beds were very comfortable. Staff was excellent - made us feel very welcome. I would not want to stay for an extended time with small children.

One of the reasons this hotel was selected was the "W" reputation and I was very disappointed. The lobby was nice but the rest . . . my room on the 12th floor had a running toilet with severe rust stains around the bowl like it had been leaking for quite some time, the wallpaper was peeling off the walls, everything was very worn, the cabinets did not close properly, the refrigerator did not cool, the door looked like it was broken into many times, the first day the hallway was dark maintenancewith the exception of little blue lights over each door perhaps to hide the lack of maintenance. The Whatever, Whenever line seldom responded or answered the phone, request were ignored and required a trip to front desk to get response. stayed 5 days for business, would have changed hotels but policy was to charge an extra night if checking out early

The lobby (W calls it the Living Room) is a great place to work or have a drink if you do not want to stay in your room. There was a DJ on a Thursday eveniing!.

We stayed at the W hotel Perimeter in Atlanta. Overall, I would have classified it as a 2 star hotel. There was no bellman assistance with luggage and the hotel was an old facility which had been refurbished. The quality of the hotel was overall poor, our room was dirty and the air conditioner and TV did not work properly. While I could elaborate further, the bottom line was this hotel was not up to par.

Perfect for a weekend getaway, I would definetely recommend this hotel. The staff went above & beyond to help me located a missing ring. Everyone was extremely friendly. One of the best hotel stays I have ever had.

Ultra-modern for those who like it. Lobby has noisy music so it is difficult to sit and work on the internet. Could use free wireless in rooms. You get that in a Drury Inn for heaven's sake! Rooms ok, except that shower knob was missing and had to play with it to get it to work. For this level of hotel, that is really not acceptable.

My stay at ""W"" hotel is a WOW! I love the setting, the ambience, the accomodations and the amenities. All my comments are superlatives - excellent place away from home. I just love it! Next time my family goes on trips, W hotel will be a choice.

This is NOT a luxury hotel. Quality of the room was 3 star at best with a flat screen TV and nice shower. Very disappointing.

The W is an ultra modern hotel that attracts young party going people. There is loud disco music when you enter the hotel and it is very dark with candles burning everywhere. There is a bar right when you walk in the lobby that is exposed for everyone to see. This is not a hotel for children. But the beds were very comfortable!

Disco in lobby, hip-hop atmosphere. Very un-business atmosphere. New age lighting in hall way reminded me of my hippy days. Loud music in lobby was distracting.

Rooms are very standard, but with nice bedding and TV. Bathrooms not up to par for a 4 star hotel. I stayed in a suite with an old, stained bathtub, no water pressure, and the tub drain didn't work. Systems are not checked (i.e. An engineer was called to fix the heat/air in my room and he never showed over the course of a day). The smoke detector kept chirping b/c it needed new batteries - no one ever fixed that either.

From the moment we arrived, every need was anticipated and met. From suggestions for and directions to local attractions, restaurants, etc., to the amenities provided in the spacious guest rooms, we felt pampered the entire time we were at the hotel. I will definitely stay at this and other w hotels when I have a chance.

The hotel was very nice. The room was chic and hip. The bathroom was not so great-sink leaked, faucets didn't operate properly, shower did not drain.

Our stay at this was one of the worst. Trying to open a bathroom door at 1 a.m. in order to use the bathroom, getting dressed again with children in the middle of the night and use the lobby restrooms, which had drunk people (not guests), and having to wait for a maintenance man more than 1 hour was totally unacceptable.
