we stayed in a standard room in your hotel and were very disapointed with the room size and the size of bathrooms compared to hotels that we stayed in throught Australia and Europe . We were also disapointed with the noise levels from the outside enviornment and the antiquated air conditioning system which we couldnt leave on while in the room. I think if the windows were replace to a tripple glazing system and the air conditioning units replaced it would improve the noise leves

Hotel location was nice. Front desk was ok. We got a room that was cozy with a queen size bed. Def not a queen-try a full size. When called and spoke with manager, they told me it was a queen and then don't have full size beds. The room was pretty small but then again we weren't in it much.

This was a very pleasant hotel - small room but bathroom was nice. However, shower was not hot - had to call maintenance. TV was right on top of the bed so it was hard to get around. Bed was very comfortable and the room was very tastefully decorated. Keycard and the elevator were difficult and didn't always click on first time.

My husband and I checked into the W on the 4th of July......hoping to have a great view of the skyline from our 'WONDERFUL' room.......NOT SO WONDERFUL!!! When I opened the shade, our view consisted of 3 building walls, a dumpster & a large vent! Skyline, what skyline????? They seemed to be more concerned with asthetics than practicality. There was hardly any room in the bathroom to hold items....one hook, a small shelf above the gorgeous pedestal sink. The pillows were way too soft, and the comforter kept sliding off the bed. The room was very clean and it was beautiful, but the view was important being in NYC!!! No free morning coffee here either.....even Hotel 8 gives you a free morning cup of 'Joe'. The lobby was modern, but some of the decor looked almost tacky. Modern can be tacky too!!! The valet was great, but we should have been told that it would be off-site parking and that the charge would be * per day. Over all, the biggest disappointment was the lack of any view of the city.......travel website should have told us that it would be a 'non-view' inside room.

Hotel was great. The only bad service was from a horrible waitress in the lounge. Everyone else was great.

Hotel very nice in an excellent location. Bedrooms quite small with basic facilities. The corridors were noisey and you could hear the occupants of the rooms on either side. Happy enough.

I've been to NYC a few times and this hotel was fantastic. The room was small but having been to New York before I'm used to it and didn't mind at all. It was in a great location, not too noisy but close to everything. We did a bus tour and one of the hop on/off stops was across the street at the Waldorf which really worked out. Room service was fast, security at night was great, staff very helpful. The lounge was great to hang out in and the decor both in the lobby and in our rooms was great. After walking around the city and getting back to the hotel for a change of clothes before hitting the town again, I took the best shower of my life in our room. Anything you needed, they had it or pre-thought that you would need it. There was a great deli/hot-table place across the street if you were on a budget and wanted a quick snack or begal for breakfast too. My sister and I were truly, truly impressed by The W New York and are planning to stay there again the next time we go!

We had a wonderful time on W Hotel at Lexington Street. The Location is Perfect! two blocks from the Subway to everywhere in New York, we went even from JFK Airport to the Hotel by Subway, cheaper than Taxi ( a taxi ride is usd 65,00) and best option to get faster to Manhattan. The Hotel is wonderful, very clean and updated, extremely safe location, a modern lounge with great decor, 'clean and pure" style. The front desk was really helpful giving us maps and directions to everywhere in the city: subway to Museum, Empire States, Ground Zero, etc. We were so glad we picked this Hotel, every review was saying that the room is small, but for us the space was just perfect because we didn't go to New York to stay inside the room! The bed is really comfortable, with best pillow ever! as well as the good shower with Bliss products. Some free treats as the ?Apricot Water? on the lobby. We were pleased and happy with the relaxing and modern atmosphere and this great location in Manhattan. Thanks W Hotel and the travel website for the great Package price and perfect vacation we had!

Lively, chic and polished. Great amenities. No bathtub, no in-room coffee. Lots of fun. Would take this over any standard chain hotel (Hilton, Marriott -- even Westin etc.) any day!

I booked the Wonderful Room with signature bed. I was disapointed with the dimensions of the room. For the price I paied I expected much more. Outside the room, the hotel is great. Very nice bar, lounge and other areas. The concierges are extremly helpfull and knlowledgeable. Very good breakfast.

First of all my room key did not work and in order for me to get back and forth into my hotel room that i spent a lot of money for i had to keep calling security, secondly, the room was HOT!!! the fan nor AC worked and the sweat was dripping down my back as i tried to get ready and lastly the service was horrible. After the second time my key did not work i went down to the check-in counter and spoke with someone behind the counter who was no help. They told me i could get my money because i prepaid and that i could not be switched to another room because they were all "booked". I asked to speakkwith management and of course the girl behind the desk calls and would not let me speak to the manager directly but of course all of a sudden another room was available. Then to top things off they hold money on your credit for incidentials for 5 days until you call them and have them fax something to your credit card company. It was a horrible night and a horrible stay. I do not recommend it to any one.

The rooms were a pitiful--no chair, no desk, not enough room for a nightstand on each side. My companion had a 3 hour conf. business call and had nothing to sit on or write on. After 3 room changes someone suggested the following day (at my insistence). The spa floor which was light bright and 70 ft larger. We spent one cramped miserable night. However, the bed was very comfortable. The only redeeming feature. The manager was brand new and totally ineffective in providing customer service commensurate with the magnitude of our problems.

Sharp, modern comfortable hotel. Staff a little lax about cleaning room service trays out of hall, also no book describing hotel amenities in our room. Great facility needs help with people part.

Our room was small, but very comfortable and very clean. Also, nicely appointed. The staff was very helpful and the overall atmosphere was friendly, yet still very profession.
