Description:
In one soaring bastion of 1920's art deco splendor, your stay at W Minneapolis, The Foshay will be both legendary and cutting edge cool. No other skyscraper is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Known as the modern and hip twin to the more conservative and quiet St. Paul, Minneapolis is home to the financial district, just steps from The Foshay. You're also in the city's hot spot of architectural and cultural gems, such as the Walker Art Center, and the new Guthrie Theatre. If you're looking for more style and wild, the Mall of America and Minnesota Zoo are just a few miles down the highway. And don't worry about the infamous Paul Bunyan-caliber winters - miles of climate-controlled skyways mean you can work, shop, dine, and explore with having to brave the elements. With 447 feet of historical chic, the hotel presents 229 rooms, over 6,000 square feet of meeting space, the world-class Manny's Restaurant, a sensational bar and the sensual W Living Room. You'll have everything you need to stay on top of the city's surging cosmopolitan scene. Every room and suite boasts splendid views of the city skyline, capturing both an amazing vista of exceptional skyscrapers and historical spires as well as lush urban greenery. Featuring around-the-clock signature Whatever/Whenever service, the hotel infuses the city's historical architecture with modern culture and a fashionable attitude amid a flurry of edgy art, independent music, and thriving theater. From unwinding at SWEAT Fitness Center to wining and dining at indulgent offerings, W Minneapolis - The Foshay flirts with your senses and meets every need. The hotel offers Acura car service that travels within 5 miles of the property; the service must be arranged in advance with the concierge and is subject to availability.

The Foshay hotel was really great. We were so happy to stay this hotel because they provided great fitness room, good service and friendly concierge. However, we have in trouble when we came back our home. I checked my visa statement, hotel charged hotel fee and other charge to my visa. We have already paid through the orbiz but hotel charged accomodation fee again. I guess another charge is refrigerator, however, we are not drinking anything from there...This is really disappointed.

The shower was huge and the shower head was like standing under a waterfall. Great bath products as well. They offered free courtesy car service, but on Thursday nights, they stop offering that service at 7:15 pm.

Hi we stayed at the W Foshay and got upgraded to a suite (wife is Platinum with SPG) for my 50th birthday celebration and got a fantastic large room on the 23rd floor with a wrap around view of downtown mpls. Had friends up to the suite to celebrate before going to an awesome dinner at Manny's Steakhouse. The beds at the W are the best and this one was no exception. We've stayed at W hotels in Atlanta, NY, and New Orleans and this was as good as any of them - cool architecture and a great party bar in the Living Room!

I can not say enough good things about this hotel. The room was very clean, awesome shower. Wonderful little samples from bliss spa (love them too). Cool decor, nice view. Super comfy bed. The best thing about this hotel was the staff, they were A+++! No lie, everybody was so pleasant and extremely helpful, they were above and beyond. Ate at Keys in the hotel, very good. Bar on 27th floor, super cool. Like I said this hotel was awsome, I will be back for sure. Had a late night out and not a single knock at the door from housekeeping, how great is that and how many people can say that?

Did not use valet service because of $28 fee. Parked in local parking ramp and hotel was unable to validate. Inconvenient and not straightforward.

This hotel might be the nicest W in the entire chain. really cool architecture and lots of original features. The room was well appointed and the W beds are always the best. I tried to eat at the steakhouse Mannys but they were full and the concierge couldn't do anything about that. not very W in that sense, but "whatever" I guess.

The hotel was wonderful with outstanding amenities. My wife and I went because it was close to the Orpheum Theatre and we wanted to see a show. The location is awesome as it is close to several venues of entertainment and some great dining. The room itself was immaculate and stylish.

It was very clean. Too much liquor in the refrigerater and alot of construction out side could not find no where to park. It was a very romantic place my room was fantastic and the people were very nice.

Enjoyed the ambiance of the hotel and felt like I was indulging without spending a lot of money. Too much construction on the city streets outside.

Some staff seemed to be very care free. Great location, wonderful beds and showers.

Fabulous historic building. Remodel was very elegant. Maid threw away or stole a bag of souvenirs. The hotel was in a remodeled art deco building from the 1920's. Amazing remodel with decent sized rooms for an old building. The hotel is also located in the middle of downtown with easy access to the Skyway and light rail train station.

The art decor design of the rooms and lobby. A hotel employee tried to enter our room at 9:15pm to service the wet bar without knocking. If you are a young couple this is the perfect place for you with its art deco design and loud music in the lobby and top floor lounge as the night gets rolling.

The bed was wonderful. The room was quiet. Room needs a coffee maker.

The rooms and atmosphere of the hotel made me feel like I was a movie star! Internet access may cost you depending upon what you pay for your room. Overall, this was the best hotel experience I have had in a long time. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a first class 5-star experience and still at an affordable cost.

Contemporary and chic, comfortable and convenient. There were very few amenities in the room, no complimentary coffee. There was no fitness room or pool. Overall it was an extremely chic hotel that had most of what we wanted. There is valet parking and very friendly staff throughout the hotel. The bars and lobbies were beautiful and very modern. I miss complementary coffee and a fitness room. However, the rooms were very comfortable with a great bed and shower.

Returning to a building with a history and still recognizing it. So popular that we could not get into the 27th floor bar.

Bed was comfy. Bar was expensive. Nice, modern, good size room and king bed. Restaurant was great (except the wait). No complaints.

I liked the speedy service and customer service. I didn't know that parking was that expensive, there. 25 dollars/night and plus tax. Bad location, expensive parking, no swimming pool, no complimentary breakfast!
