good location in relation to where i was going. nice and quiet. A/C could work better especially on top floor and west facing in Tucson in summer. Warm almost uncomfortable

It was cheaper than others. The pool and Jacuzzi were dirty and the room lights did not function properly.

we really enjoyed the hotel - the staff was really accomodating - on our first day the pool looked dirty and the hot tub wasn't working - but we told them at the desk and they got right on it and cleaned the pool and worked on the hot tub - breakfast was great especially for the price - beds and linens were really nice - also close to everything.

Check-in was easy and the front desk was friendly. Our first room was filthy with used chewing gum on the nightstand, dirty floor (old receipts and crumbs from previous guests), stains on the chair and couch and the bathroom smelled like urine. We asked to be moved. The next room the a/c was not working and maintenance never came to fix it, because they were tending to a small fire in the laundry room, which brings up a whole other issue. Our 3rd room was clean,(except for a urine smell in the bathroom) but there was no hot water until the next morning. (several rooms on that side of the hotel were without hot water, maybe this was all due to the small fire and the fire alarm being stuck for 30 mins) After our 3rd room change (which the front desk was very sympathetic) we did receive a lunch voucher for 4 in the hotel bar & grill. The morning breakfast was very good, a variety including an omlet bar. The swimming pool was very dirty and needs repairs (a lot of cracks, stains on the bottom, nasty tile) If yo

This hotel was nice and in a good location. The rooms were very nice sized, it had a living space and bedroom space. Unfortunately, they were remodeling so it smelled like paint! We would stay there again if in Tucson.

Good location, nice lobby, atrium area. Room was older, in need of updating. Good location. Helpful, friendly staff. Nice open, atrium - restaurant area. Would stay at this hotel again.

The suites, themselves, are excellent. The staff, however... They leave MUCH to be desired. When we arrived, we attempted to check in with our travel website reservation for one king-size bed. They check us in, no problems, everything seems ok. Once we got to the room, however, we found that they had given us a twin doubles room. Upon returning to the desk, the agent said that yes, I had a king reserved, but they were booked up, and OH, here we are, there's one left. Gave us a key and sent us on our way. Upon arriving at THAT room, we found that the room key wouldn't work. Returning to the desk, they re-did the keycards. Which still didn't work. This time, they send security up to let us in, if the new keys didn't work. Well, they didn't, and security couldn't get in- it seems they failed to change the door battery, and maintenance can't be called in the evening. So, they sent a nice, wonderful housekeeping woman to take us to ANOTHER room. Which was a double-twin. Supposedly, that was it. Called travel website, their wonderful rep called the hotel, and after working his magic, the hotel sent an annoyed looking security guard to the room to give us the key to yet another room- lo and behold, it seems they DID have another king, after all... Short version, it sure seems like they want to keep the nice rooms for guests that don't pay travel website prices, but if you fight for it, you can have a VERY nice room.

This hotel simply gets it! It's been around forever and STILL pays attention to the smaller details!! The rooms are HUGE, and the suite-effect makes it seem as though you are in anything other than a hotel room. Yes, the furniture could use some updating, but this hotel is simply OUTSTANDING. Security from the front and side doors, to the elevator, to the rooms! VERY FRIENDLY and OUTGOING STAFF. Front desk/check in staff INCREDIBLE!! That morning breakfast buffet beats what I've paid 40 and more for at La Paloma and Ventana Canyon. If you are looking for a great hotel, in a great location, at an unbeatable price......you CANNOT overlook the VISCOUNT!

My son and I were in Arizona to tour the University of Arizona college. We found the hotel quite easy to get to and it was only about five miles from the college. The front desk staff was very friendly and well informed.

The inside lobby and dining areas were excellent. Very inviting and warm. The suites were spacious and comfortable. The housekeeping was terrible. Our room was not vacuumed, cleaned and never had enough towels. The sheets were not changed for the three days we stayed. They would have gotten a higher rating from us if it were not for the condition of the pool (the water was rather murky and the pool area was too dark at night. The hot tub was also too dark at night. I would recommend them if they had cleaning staff that cared about their work. One staff member let herself into our room without knocking although she knew we were there!

My stay at the Viscount was okay. The room was good size. The AC didn't work, so we had to open windows. Luck for us it was February. It would have also been nice if they offered some kind of free breakfast for the price we paid for the room.

This hotel has an okay location but that's it. It is old, outdated, poorly maintained which is probably why no franchise has flagged it. Just awful.

The hotel staff asked what floor we would like to stay on. That's a first! We were told the best location to park for our room and how to access the side entry doors. Everyone was friendly. We will return again.

We stayed at the Viscount hotel for a few days of spring break, and chose that hotel because it had a true suite-style set-up and we needed an separate room for our daughter's boyfriend to stay in. Unfortunately, once we got there, the extra room did not have a sleeper-sofa, so he ended up sleeping on the floor. :( The mattresses on the beds were the most comfortable hotel mattresses we have EVER slept on, however! There were lots of choices in the free breakfast that was offered, including make-to-order omelets. But we stood in line for about 45 minutes to get the omelets because there was only one cook working the station. The hotel staff was extremely friendly & helpful and the property, while it was fairly dated in appearance, was clean and well maintained. The price was very good compared with other similar hotels.

the pictures are definitely better than the actual hotel, but everyone was very nice and the room was clean and quiet.

Decent breakfast buffet. Rooms need to be remodeled. Hotel is very old and is in desperate need of a makeover.

The hotel has a great location...just about 6 miles to U of A and only a couple of blocks from a public golf course. The room has a separate living room and bedroom. There is a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker in each suite and a TV in each room. The breakfast that comes with your stay is a full hot buffet with made-to-order omlettes and the usual breakfast items. Also offered are deals at Happy Hour. There are two different restaurants located at this facility. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay at this establishment again and would highly recommend it to those visiting Tucson.
