This hotel isn't really a hotel, it's basically a time-share next to the Meritage and run by the same staff. Both were really beautiful and well-appointed. The lobbies are huge and rambling--very comfortable to read or play a game--even with the dog. The restaurant was very good and very comfortable. The wine shop was a bonus. The hotel is very quiet and there is a nice walking path at the back of the property with a gazebo. My only complaint is that the spa was not responsive. For 4 days--every day--I tried to get a manicure and pedicure and was told that there was no one working that could do those services.

Room decor granite, tile, and wood. Bed had a squishy mattress, tight sheets, and heavy covers.

Great accomodations and friendly front desk but be careful about checking out DVDs. At the end of my stay I left the DVD in the room along with the room key. Apparently the DVD never made it back to the front desk a la housekeeping and now they are charging me $25.00 to replace it. This place is desperate to make an extra dime I guess with the bad economy but this is ridiculous. This ruined an otherwise wonderful anniversary stay.

Vino Bello is an excellent homebase for wine country touring. Room was fantastic: one BR condo suite, excellent furnishings and good bed. Blackout curtains. Two flat screen TV's, full kitchen with utensils, washer/dryer. Huge bathroom with squash court shower stall. Great place to come home to at night after touring. We spit our time between Napa, Sonoma, Tournville, Rutherford, Stag's Leap, Bodega Bay and St. Helena. Wasn't sure after seeing mixed reviews from earlier travellers but we would definitely come back to Vino Bello. Only service complaint was wake up calls: you blew it twice, guys .... need to smarten up the night clerk or people will miss flights and balloon rides! Hot coffee and lots of free newspapers (USA Today, SF Chronicle, Wall St., NY Times, local rag) front desk staff very polite, maids very nice, easy to avoid the bottom feeder timeshare people in the front lobby.

Room amenities were very good and the room was nicely decorated. I really liked having the kitchenette and balcony. Very good value for the price. The downside was that there was some landscaping work going on that was noisy.

Convenient location and friendly staff. Room service would not pick up dirty dishes for 24 hours. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Napa. The staff was very friendly and helpful to get around. They, of course, try to get you in to buy a timeshare, but who doesn't these days. The rooms were exceptionally spacious and very well maintained. My only critique would be the dirty dishes that sat in front of the room next to ours for over 24 hours. Even after housekeeping had entered the rooms. The resort room we were in had a refrigerator, toaster over, microwave and bar sink.

The reviews on this resort were missleading. If you are looking for a resort experience do NOT go to the Bello Vino. The first sign for us no direct web site . we got to the hotel it looked like a Creek Bridge apart complex. It was under staffed. . we picked up the phone and called room service( 24hr room service) it rang and rang no one picked up. We called the front desk it rang and rang . they picked up put us on hold forevvvver then it rang and rang and finaly twenty or so minutes we got room service dept and ordered. Food was lousey. hit the pool. Full of loud unsupervised little kids and a broken hottub. Like a pool at an apartment building. The "resort" said they had two pools on site and the main pool had poolside service. We packed up and went to main pool it was a little nicer but no cocktail server could be found after an hour of thirst in 108 degree weather i got up and walked in the lobby to ask about the "pool side service " that they offered . I was told that they only had a bartender to work the inside bar and the pool. Plus no blended drinks. Ahh. We called the spa to set up massage next day and got an answering machine over and over again during buisness hours. Dinner was garbage. Dont waste your valuable time away with loved ones or your money at the Bello Vino. Motel not Resort. Plus they stuck a note in our door the first night to let us know about the CONSTRUCTION between 8am to 4pm. absolute nightmare. This is the only true review.....trust us we know.....

Vino Bello was well situated for Napa and Sonoma day trips. The property and room were clean, comfortable and well-appointed. Our only complaint was that we could hear every move of our neighbors above (and they moved a lot late at night).

Very new. We were upgraded to a beautiful 1 bedroom with a full kitchen and living area. Construction is still going on, it is a little farther from town than we liked. The hotel is very new. We were upgraded to a beautiful 1 bedroom with a full kitchen. It is a little further than I like but I would stay here again in a second, considering the rate we received through priceline. Would have loved to have stayed longer and enjoyed the facilities more.

This was the 2nd hotel we stayed at in the Napa Valley and by FAR the best! (we had major issues with the Doubletree the night before). We had a studio room on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool (which can get rowdy- wish they patrolled the noise from the sloppy drunks a bit better) but that was the only complaint we had (other than not finding this gem sooner!) Location was very convenient, amenities were amazing (free bottle of wine, washer/drier/kitchen in room and a HUGE bathtub!) concierge was extremely helpful and quite thorough, wine tasting room very generous (but small and fills up easily) and we met only lovely people there (besides the beer drinkers are the pool- which at least provided free comedy!) The lowest score was for thier on-site restaurant, Siena. Our meal was average at best, and even though the waiter was friendly, they couldn't get the pasta order right or were out of quite a few things (not a good way to start a dinner rush!). As much as it is written up, you will find better fare in town and it is worth the cab fare or driving to experience the beauty of the valley. The location can be tricky to find if you are not familiar with the area, but is a great central point to either head up the SIlverado Trail (our trip that day) or the traditional 29 trek. It is also great as it is the closest point to the airport or freeways out of town. We will definitely be back to stay and bring friends to enjoy a few glasses of wine overlooking the valley! Cheers for making a 40th birthday very special!

Courteous and friendly staff in Siena Restaurant. Check-in was terrible. Check-in with terrible, frustrating and disappointing. We walked away the first night upset, frustrated and terribly disappointed at the hotel. The second day my husband felt we were treated so unprofessional by the day manager that he returned to front desk and asked for assistant manager. This manager not only upgraded both rooms to what we believed we originally had but also gave both groups breakfast for 2 for the remaining 2 nights. His position was that if 1 of his employees told us we had king suite than that is what he should get. Furthermore, that he disagreed with the position his day manager took and apologized for the way she handled our reservations. I will be sending an email off to this assistant manager to express our gratitude for changing our opinion of this hotel's customer service. This was our third and last hotel on our trip to San Francisco and are happy we left happy and satisfied.

The Vino Bello Resort was the perfect getaway for a weekend away in Napa. I spent the weekend at the Vino Bello Resort in Napa - neither of us had been to Napa before. This resort was in a great, quiet location. The onsite facilities are great and the rooms are amazing. I can't wait to revisit Napa and stay at the Vino Bello again.

Vino Bello is a great place to stay for access to the wine country. The rooms are well appointed, featuring nice decor, luxurious beds, and spacious shower/bath designs. Ideal for romantic weekends or short visits with kids. We went wine tasting and touring during the day and then spent evenings at the swimming area, which is new, clean, and well-suited for everyone in the family. While not the closest lodging to most of the valley, it is within just a few miles of literally dozens if not a hundred or more restaurants in downtown Napa. Driving into the corporate park to get to the hotel is a bit worrisome, but the hotel is insulated from the surrounding buildings and feels reasonable self-contained.

Very nice rooms. They added a $15.00 per night charge to our stay. Very nice rooms if you get a one bedroom. Large kitchen and family room. Good bed, nice jetted tub, clean, and great bathroom.

I booked my stay at the Vino Bello through Travel agency for a girls trip to Napa and had an amazing experience. We were upgraded from a studio suite to a 1-bedroom suite for free, which was gorgeous. Incredibly comfortable king size bed, huge shower, jacuzzi tub, full kitchen, cozy fireplace... the front desk and concierge were very courteous and helpful. Would absolutely stay at this hotel again!

This hotel was very comfortable and the rooms were amazing. The location was very convienent for getting around to all the wineries. The only negative was that the staff (check-in and concierge service) was very poor; bording on incompetent. The concierge gave us directions telling us to take local roads to get to downtown Napa and then got defensive when I asked what the names of these mysterious local roads were. They seemed more interested in the deals that they got for referring people (to either wineries or restaurants) than in actually helping us find what we asked for.

The room was beautiful & perfect for a two or more nights stay. We were only there one night so didn't get to enjoy all the amenities, but still enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine, HUGE bathtub, couple's spa treatment, wine tasting, pool & hot tub. It was incredibly relaxing! The only downside is the proximity to other places in Napa -- but it's a short 5-10 minute drive into town, plus there's a free shuttle if you don't have a car/don't want to drive. We LOVED our experience and plan to return! We thought it would be perfect for a small group because every two guest rooms are connected by a small foyer and each has suite-like ameninities (fridge, microwave, full set of dishes) in the room.

Washing machine, dryer not working, took us more than expected to finish our laundry and therefore delayed our check out time.
