The staff was vey friendly and helpful. The hotel was great for the price. Nice room, big, clean bathroom and very quiet. Also had a nice balcony with a great view. As a young single traveller I don't know that would stay there on my own again as there was not much action happening in or around the hotel but a couple looking for a quiet relaxing place to stay this is it!

The photos on the web page are not from the rooms you get if you book with venere. Bathroom was very small, old fashioned (fro the 80s) and not really clean. However, personell is very friendly, and the terrace for breakfast is wonderful.

Advertised bar + roof terrace does not exist. When receptionist shown web page + description He was very rude.Said there had never been a bar + started to argue. The breakfast terrace was in a yard surrounded by 8' high wall, you would need a ladder to see any sights. The shower was hand held + water went everywhere (no curtain),a B+B not a 3* hotel.

We really enjoyed the Viminale Hotel Rome. It was very close to the center of Rome. The distance from the train station to the hotel was further than we had been told, and it was a bit difficult to find with the map that was given on the website, but once we found the hotel, it was great! The rooms were very spacious and clean. There was air conditioning and large washrooms. There was a market down the street from the hotel every morning selling all kinds of things. Great value for your dollar. We were very impressed with it and if we ever return to Rome in the future, we will definitely stay at this hotel.

Très bon hôtel. On nous avez donné une chambre au quatrième. Elle sentait la fumée. J'ai demandé à changer. J'ai obtenu la 106, qui donne sur le jardin. C'est une chambre magnifique.

Nice Hotel, nice staff especially the guy who serves breakfast, good location. should not be charging 45 euro for taxi to airport when the charge is only 30 euro

Me and my wife and son were at Hotel Viminale for the first time, and found it nice, very well located to begin a visit to Rome. Close to the train station and the Colosseum. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

relationship between price/quality is sufficient because via Venere.com they caherged 76 € but the regular displayed price in the rooms is appalling: 300, 450 for a so -called double. Along two days (2) there was NO hot water at all and no notice to customers was given, or explicit excuses, compensation or discount. Fairly bureaucratic behaviour.

Heating was not so good in my room. In others, there were 5 more guests that I knew, was excellent. That is only thing that I could remember as negative. I stayed for almost a week in december.

Hotel room was cold - average 66 degrees most of the time. Breakfast poor and breakfast room very very cold

Hotel within walking distance to metros & located in a safe neighbourhood. Room is quite old but reasonably clean. We were given a spacious front room with a queen bed and a single bed, although we book for a double. Bathroom is big and spacious. Staff are courteous and helpful. Breakfast is good with choices. No free internet. The room door can only be locked using the key which means that if your wife is in the room and you want to go out, you either locked her in or come back and knock. Overall a pleasant stay.

Hotel in a quiet side street - no road noise. Our room - 106 was huge with dual aspect - lovely! We only stayed 2 nights but it was certainly well positioned for sight seeing particularly the Colosseum. Hotel seems to be next to THe Interior Ministry and when we stayed there was a 24 hour police-presence just down the road. Do take advantage of the transportation to and from the airport offered by the hotel - an excellent service and 20 Euros cheaper than a taxi. Good breakfast but small dining room that is crowded when busy - better in summer as there is also an outside dining terrace which looked great.

we stayed in a twin room with en suite. very clean and up to date. had problem with door and shower, repair man came very quickly and rectified the matter. hotel was central and within walk of most major sites. room was quiet even though over looking the street. bonus we were next to one of the balconeys.

The Viminale Hotel Rome was in a very quiet location, not far from the railway station. It was very quaint and had a great rooftop area to take a bottle of wine, sit and take in the view. The room was a bit shabby and small but sufficient. The shower as in most hotels was average but at least it worked. Most of the staff were very helpful and courteous and we particularly liked the waiter who served breakfast, he was a character.Breakfast could also be taken on the terrace outside, which was a nice touch.

The hotel was comfortable and clean. However 2 of the 3 reception staff were not particularly friendly and one of the breakfast staff could do with more customer service training. I was aware of similar comments from reviews that I had read before booking so I was not entirely surprised.

Fine quit hotel and fine service by all employees but from the dayshift receptionist who was very unfriendly and disrespectfull. The morning buffet consumed in the small garden is delightfull and the Waiter has a nice way to make every morning full of joy.
