Basic three star hotel with no extra frills. Good customer service and lovely smell of warm pastries in the morning. Clean room and bathroom, daily maid service. Only one let down was a difficult lock on the door. Was about a fifteen minute walk to the water bus serivce to Venice and a few minute walk from the beach.

This was my first trip to Venice - staying in Lido was a great place to stay. Very cute island. The Vime Byron hotel is a block from beaches and a block or 2 from the main street, and less than a 10 minute walk to the waterbus. Friendly service. Hotel is clean and has a lift. Large updated bathroom and shower(for Europe). Bed was old and could feel the springs, furniture hasn't been updated in many years. But room was large overall - included small desk, end tables, and an armoir, as well as refrigerator. We could leave our luggage during the day after we check out. They had a nice outdoor sitting area. No clocks in the room - but I noticed that at all hotels I stayed at in Paris and Italy. I would definitely stay here again.

I had no problems with this hotel and the staff were very friendly. i stayed in a twin room with my teenage daughter and I would say that although the room was basic it was very clean. As the beach closes fo the winter and it is too cold to sit on the terrace for breakfast I only used the hotel for base and for this purpose would definately use it again. More like a B&B than a hotel though! Very reasonably priced for Venice!

It took some time to find it at first, but it is quite a short walk to the ferry once you know the way, the rooms are nice with lot's of venetian atmosfere, nothing deluxe or shiny, but really pretty with architecture and comfy, the cold breakfast buffet is and we even were aloud to take our breakfast before the hours, as we had to leave early. The clerk was very helpfull, and the service comparing to other places in Venice was considerably good. The choise of staying at Lido and not overpaying for Venice itself was one of the smartest we made. Enjoyed the stay, the hotel and Venice very much.

Very central location. Breakfast was very good and could be enjoyed outside on the terasse. Very friendly staff and clean rooms. Though, could use an extra mirror in the room! I was on holiday with my teenage daughter and we would both like to stay there again.

Stunning views from our room, and so close to the beach.The room itself was very nice but I felt the bathroom could have done with some modernisation or perhaps a shower.Having said that, friend's also stayed at this hotel and their room and bathroom had clearly recently been updated.The staff were very friendly, it was clean and quiet, but overall very good value for money.

The Vime Byron hotel is nicely situated about 10- 15 minutes walk from the vaporetto and just 5 minutes to the beaches of Lido. The hotel servise is very good. I would recommend the place to stay but don t expect high standard. You can see that the hotel got the 3 stars many years ago and that the owner does not invest a lot to keep it in good shape.
