This is an older property. The lobby isn't anything special. The room was very nice but with no view. You need to realize the hotel is located a 1/2 block from the Seine. So you need to go out to have a view. The bathroom was very nice. The young ladies who greeted us were very nice and accomodating. Then over the weekend there were 2 gentlemen that were the concierges. They were ok. I felt the women were friendlier. We never ate at their restaurant but it looked crowded.. The area the hotel is in is fabulous. It reminded us of Greenwich Village in NYC, USA.. Small streets with lots of cafe's, bistros and art galleries. The hotel is also very close to a lot of fantastic sights in Paris

Wonderful place. Quaint but comfortable, offers modern amenities, including a safe. Lots of history - named after Gabrielle d'Estrees who was Henry IVth's concubine and apparently lived across the street. Lots of history on the walls of the lobby unfortunately for us non-French speakers only in French but staff all spoke English and were very helpful. Good security, great location, surprisingly quiet in the rooms. Staff helped us get a ride from and to the airport before we even arrived; they could not change money but directed us properly. Overall great!

We absolutely loved the hotel. It's location near St. Michel was a neighborhood we are very familiar with and a neighborhood that offers a multitude of dining, attractions, retail, transportation and wonderful walking in historic areas–only a few minutes walk to Notre Dame, Hotel DeVille, Musee D'orsay and more. The hotel is a little pricey at about 350 euros a night, but Venere.com saved us over 100 euros off their normal rate, so we paid only about 236 euros, which was a blessing.

We ordered a Suite deluxe, and was given a very ordinary double room. The only thing that was like a "suite" was the price.

The staff at the hotel were excellent, especially Clement who guided us to the hotel as my sense of direction is not very good! He was very helpful with reservations for restaurants. The hotel was just as it was described. I loved it and would stay there again.

Our stay over the easter weekend was brilliant. The service provided was very good. The location was also very good. We had a metro, supermarket, bank and post office within 1 minutes walk. We were also able to walk everywhere due to the excellent location. I would definately recommend this hotel. What we thought was a lovely gesture was them giving us a lovely Easter egg + choclates on easter sunday!

It was very expensive for the service. I enjoyed the size of the room which was clean and spacious (especially by Paris standards). There was only one person on duty to buzz in guests, and advice was given grudgingly. Next time, I will trade their larger room for another place with better service and advice.

this place is great -- centrally located, small, very comfortable, and extremely friendly service. huge comfortable bed, good water pressure in a spacious bathroom (not always the case in paris). couldn't have been happier -- we'll be back.
