It offers its guests a beach option, a 20 minutes walk to secluded cove with a volcanic origin sand, where exotic jungle and marine birds, occasionally howler monkey will be the only other living creature sharing the beauty of the place. It also offers a two-level swimming pool, a full service restaurant, bar, parking lot, and free shuttle service to Manuel Antonio Park and beaches. The hotels restaurant features an international menu with an emphasis on northern Italian cuisine. The bar offers exotic fruits drinks and traditional beverages. The hotel features 20 villas, each with two rooms. They are on the slopes of the Manuel Antonio mountains overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The villas are scattered throughout lush tropical vegetation that attracts numerous exotic birds and small wild animals. Each room has two twin beds, individually controlled air conditioning, private bathroom with hot water and shower, and private terrace with forest view.

This is a tiered group of rooms against the rain forest. Lots of foliage. It has two pools, one medium and one small. The setting is pretty. I saw monkeys not far from the hotel. The staff is friendly. The restaurant is somewhat reflective of CR's bland cuisine. The restaurant is somewhat overpriced and has limited selection. My breakfast was included. No variety--but enough to fuel me for my day of exploration or tours. The room was not fancy or new--but it was clean. There is no phone or safe in the room and no internet. There is a color TV, air conditioner (both with remotes), a shower, and a toilet you can put paper in unlike many in CR. My main complaint was that the walls are too thin and only one face cloth (wash cloth) is given per day. You can arrange tours from the office. There is a free hotel shuttle to the beach and M.A. Park. The hotel is close to the bus line. It is also within walking distance of town if you like hills. $5 can get a taxi ride to M.A. Park or the town of Quepos. I might try another hotel next time --because there are some spectacular ones to choose from. But this was an excellent value for the money in my opinion.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in the area. That said, it is not as luxurious as other hotels in the area, but it doesn't cost as much either, at least when I was there (Feb. 2008). It's location is great: it is off the main road between Quepos and Manuel Antonio, but within walking distance of the road. It is within a forested section of the coast, and the hike down to the secluded beach is beautiful and worth the trip. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the included breakfast was filling and delicious, and came with a great view from the open-air dining area. The site of the hotel itself is worth a remark: it is situated on a steep hillside, and the bungalows are carved into the hillside and scattered about, connected by winding paths and staircases. the grounds are lushly planted and well-maintained, the bungalows are well constructed and the rooms kept very clean. I would stay there again for sure.
