Good hotel for the price. All but 1 of Staff didnt speak any English (but he wasnt around all the time), but were very friendly and helpful considering the language barrier. Internet free but only 1 computer and very busy. No restaurant at this hotel, very generous breakfast selection delivered to the room.

Very nice hotel, however the staff do not speak English which can cause some problems. Breakfast is included and is served in the room and is very good, consists of fried egg, cheese, ham, bread, jam, butter, cakes, biscuits, fruit, coffee and orange juice. The hotel was difficult to find even for the taxi driver and is in a very dodgy area of Lapa. We would not recommend walking around outside the hotel after dark as one of us was mugged on our 4th night before 9pm! Definitely recommend getting a map of Rio so you can get around the different towns easier - the metro and bus stops are 5-10 mins walk from the hotel and run very regularly and are the cheapest form of transport. One problem with the room is the see-through glass bathroom doors! Fine if you are a couple, not so for anyone else! ´´would you stay here again´´ - yes to the hotel, but no to the area - something to think about :0) )
