Very accessable LocationWe chose this Hotel from late rooms because it had the highest ratings of 4star hotels within the Opera area of Paris. Opera area is arguably the best location for a city break in Paris and the Hotel is very easy to access to all the Metro lines as it is almost a centre hub to several stations. However it is also walking distance to Opera. The Hotel like most hotels in Paris is small but very charming with Burgandy and Gold decor in almost 17th century "Mari Antoinette "style with Fabric wallpaper and gold painted dado rails. The Twin room we had was compact but contained everything required, (except English Chanel on the T.V ) but we spend little time in the room.I noted that several other reviewers complained about the breakfast@€15 so we didnt have it as you are surronded by cafes serving breakfast from €5.50.We also noted that some reviewers commented on cleanliness, and we have to say, we couldnt find a spec of dirt. Perhaps the only comment would be the grouting in the bathroom, which is black in places and does spoil the beautiful expensive tiles and fittings, so I hope the owners see this and address it !!Reception couldnt have been more helpful, they speak excellent english and greet everone with a smile, ( which as you all know is not the norm in France)We recomemnd the hotel to all visitors, especially for a romantic break as its so cute.

Bijou brillianceAn elegant hotel furnished with baroque ardour. Room 301 is a romantic dreamworld, full of character and charm from another age; an age of slendour. There is lavish attention to detail in a boutique milieu. The staff in reception (and the chef) were extremely courteous and had time to listen to make your stay, and the city of light, as pleasing, relaxing and comfortable as possible. Paris is expensive, but hey, there is nowhere like it in spring. Loved this small hotel. Think I'll write a jazz song about it. Want to go back.

Needs updatingA charming, small hotel in a great Paris location. However, for its price level the quality of accommodation fell way short. The bathroom of our deluxe room had only a hand-shower, which we don't find acceptable, and the equipment needed replacement or refreshing. Similarly, the air conditioning was a token gesture, requiring us to leave windows open overnight which then exposed us to noisy revellers, garbage trucks and city noise. So, charming though the staff might be, we won't be staying there again.

3 star hotel, pretending to be four star. Too expensive for what you get. Fantastic location. My wife and I researched hotels deliberately avoiding the chains and seeking a boutique hotel experience. It was her 40th birthday and we were looking for something a little different but also quite upmarket and suitable with children. The description and price on Late Rooms was good except that the Family room turned out to be a two floor attic style room with a tiny bathroom and a sofa bed for the kids which pretty much took out the living area. The location of the hotel made up for the disappointing room as it is very near very good shopping and eating action. The price will tempt you; but you will be disappointed with the room described as 4 star.

LJThe reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was extremely small and quirky. It was right up in the loft of the hotel with the bathroom situated below the sleeping area accessed by a small set of steep stairs. The bed linen and the bathroom were both clean but the room was a bit dusty and it smelt musty. There was a very offputting, fowl smell in the lift probably eminating from the basement of the hotel. Surrounding area a bit rough but close to amenities.

Villa Opera Drouot - Great location and good priceThis hotel was in a great location for getting all over Paris. We walked almost everywhere, only taking the Metro to get back at the end of a long day from the far ends of the city. Also, there were several Metro stations in the vicinity, so if you're not a fan of walking, you can easily get to a station that's on the correct line for wherever you want to go.It was a little bit difficult to find on arrival as it is on a small street, however I put that more down to my partner's refusal to look at the map and go on instinct! Very friendly reception staff who were happy to direct us around the area. Never got up in time for the hotel's breakfast, so can't comment on it! Beds firm but comfortable and a nice clean bathroom. Great decor in the room; lovely cupboards, drapes, thick carpet.Would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend it :)

My sister and I stayed at this wonderful, quaint, quiet, clean, supurbly staffed hotel for 2 nights and left wishing our stay wasn't over. This hotel was wonderful and I'd make it a point to stay here the next time I'm in Paris. The location was fabulous, next to a local grocery store, resteraunts, shopping and the metro. The hotel staff was always available and incredibly cordial and friendly. Thank you so much for making our short stay so memorable.

An excellent and quirky hotel in the middle of Paris, everywhere was easy to get to. Excellent area for eating as well, we had Italian, Lebanese, French and then moved on to the second day. Thoroughly recommended

This was a small, well positioned hotel with easy access to the Metro. We were generally pleased with our stay but unfortunately found a mouse in the bathroom in the middle of the night which did upset my wife. We did not report this until the following morning and although the hotel did respond by upgrading us to one of the best rooms in the hotel and throwing in breakfast, there was no formal apology for this inconvenience. The hotel had an elegant feel but the low lighting and corner position of the building masked an unclean feel to the hotel.\r\n\r\nManager's response:\r\nDue to dismantling works on a neighbouring building, mice \"migrated\" and set in Villa Opéra Drouot. As a sign of apology, the above customers have been accomodated in an upgraded Deluxe room and have been offered breakfasts. Management immediately contacted a pest control company and managed to get rid of the animals. So far, no mice have been noticed in the building anymore.

The hotel was great, the room small but in perfect Paris standard. We slept there 3 night and all was awsome, very clean, romantic and warm room. Bathroom was smaller compared to website photos but very clean. Only one advice: near the hotel there's restaurant \"Chartier\", avoid it!

Beautiful building. Perhaps in need of some renovation, but otherwise excellent. The service on the front desk was excellent, with perfect English spoken. The continental breakfast was delicious. My only small gripe was there was only 1 English TV channel. Although we were hardly in the room so it didn't really matter.

The reception is small but cosy and has a nice welcolming feel about it. The room was large with a nice comftable 6ft wide bed and the bathroom was a nice size as well. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel is decorated in french baroc style with rooms being individualy decorated. The area hotel is situated is very lively with plenty of restraunts and Metro is onlu a 2 min walk away. Very good value for money especially as breakfast and room upgrade was part of the deal.

We were disappointed with the first room we were given. The hotel manager moved us to another room which was better but still not what we would have expected for a four star hotel. The furniture was tatty, the television system archaic and the heating systems basic. The hotel is trying to give a boutique feel, but seems somehow to miss. The reception is also tatty. On the other hand, the staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were good. I cannot complain at the \"value for money\" compared to other hotels in Paris which tend to be very expensive. Location is good for all areas of Paris.

Excellent hotel, lovely breakfast set in great location close to Metro, very friendly staff even let us book out late for free!
