The hotel is beautifully designed and comfortable, with an attentive staff. In what was labelled a junior suite, the bed was small for two people. But otherwise the room and bathroom facilities were excellent.

The biggest comfort in this high ceiling villa was the incredible help staff. From the second we checked in, to the moment we stepped out, the staff always displayed a genuine concern for our stay. We stayed in a junior suite called ?Monica?, which included high ceilings, large bed, open shutter windows and Jacuzzi. Due to time constraints, we booked our hotel during the work week, Tuesday - Friday. Early in the week, it seemed as though we had the entire hotel to ourselves. It was later explained to us that the week is usually a bit slower--- to our delight. The moon lit terraces with its beautiful mountain views, sunken pool, spa, soothing outdoor patios and Jacuzzis were all ours! Also, during our entire stay, we had a wonderful breakfast at the hotels? cozy restaurant. The food was delicious. Although, I do recommend searching for special packages with certain deals, ours came with a free spa massage. The Canadian-born masseuse told us that some of the luxury packages also come with free breakfast. The massages were a wonderful compliment to the city?s walking-culture. After a few days of walking the callejons, you?ll need one. Enjoy your stay here!

Villa Maria Christina is a beautiful place, and perfectly apppointed. Very quiet. We loved the outdoor living areas that so perfectly and comfortably expanded our room. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We walked to the center of town several times, or took the short cab ride, and thoroughly enjoyed exploring Guanajuato. We definitely felt like the Villa Marie Christina met all of our expectations. Highly recommend it to others!
