Not a 4 star hotelThis is supposed to be a four star hotel, but in my room the air conditioning didn't work, the TV didn't work, the bath tap dripped and the handles on the taps came off in your hand.Staff were friendly and apologetic but nothing was fixed during my stay.

The location was very convenient, lots of cafe's within walking distance, the metro was a couple of blocks away and it was a quieter neighborhood, which was something we liked. We had a Starbucks across the street, McDonald's a couple of blocks from us. The room is small, we were on winter hours in April so did not have air conditioning. The room was a bit hot in the day but at night very cool with the window's open. Some street noise. The staff was helpful but not overly friendly. We felt very safe in the area.

Booked Villa Luxembourg but on arrival moved to Villa Montparnasse On arrival at our first choice hotel they did not have a room for us , a lame excuse of 5 rooms suddenly out of action ( did they taking more bookings than they had rooms ?)Moved us to a sister hotel Villa Montparnasse which ended up being even further from the Centre of Paris.Strange place , never saw another guest in the 3 nights we stayed , which made us think the Luxembourg takes too many bookings then off loads guests on arrival to their sister Hotel .Room was , clean ,but next to a cemetery , too small , no tea / coffee making facillities , matress too hard (floor was softer) . Breakfast at 18 euros each is outrageous , 4 euros each in a nice cafe in the next street .Asked for a softer matress but where looked at as if we were aliens and told they are all the same , difficult one to believe.Felt we were badly misled and moved further out into the suburbs than we had wanted , meaning we had no choice but to use the Metro when we had hoped to walk to most places .Photos do not show how small the Hotel really is , 4 star , don't think so in our opinion.

As a single female traveller, I liked that although the hotel was on a ""busy"" street, that section of the block at night became rather quiet, but remained well lit.

The hotel was ok but definately not a four star hotel as advertised!Its a great location, really near lots of metro stations as well as the station that takes you straight to the CDG airport.Theres lots of lovely cafes,shops and restaurants nearby.The room itself was small,really stuffy and we didnt get the double bed we requested-just two single beds pushed together which was annoying.When we asked to change to a double, the friendly receptionist said they were all taken.The shower was really powerful, but broken, so the water spurted out at different angles.Overall i would not stay there again, although we had a lovely time in Paris and were only using the room to sleep in, i think you could get better value for money elsewhere.

This hotel was a great value. Our rate was 109 euro for a four star in a very nice neighborhood. Walk from Vavin Metro was very short. Walking distance to Latin Quarter (had the weather been nicer). Room was very nice with lots of extra features; it was average size for a euro room (small for an American room).Only gripe was the disk clerk (don't know if he was free lancing or it is hotel policy) placed us in a hotel deal flat rate taxi to CDG at 65 euro. We later heard from several sources that a metered cab would have been 45-50 euro.

We were looking for a nice romantic weekend stay in central Paris.I read the mixed reviews already on the Laterooms website for this hotel but decided to follow the more positive ones. We were not disappointed at all! Great central location with unlimited choices of restaurants and bars all within 2-4 minutes walk. The 'Hippopotamus' steak house right next door to the hotel was excellent! We found a traditional boulangerie only a 2 minute walk from the hotel - the croissants and pain au chocalat were devine!! Some reviews remarked about noise from the street - our room (on the 6th floor) was overlooking the Boulevard but we had no noise problems at all. We caught the RER train direct from Charles de Gaulle airport to the Port Royal station which is only a 3-4 minute straight line walk from the hotel.Would definately stay at this hotel again.

Hotel was clean and quiet inside. Outside was a busy Paris boulevard with plenty of cafes restaurants metro.5 minutes from the Port Royal RER station from CDG airport. Took about 40 minutes from the airport on the RER.

I think it would be a good place to go if you were looking to explore paris - or if you had kids as the small kitchen means you dont have to go out everynight. I however am a business traveller and so was looking for a good bar and room service - both of which were not present. The hotel was really noisey and i didnt get any slepp before my meeting.

I booked a "junior suite" for a family of 4. This was essentially two rooms with an internal door that could be left open. One of the rooms was very small; it also happened to be the one with the double bed. The other room had twin beds for the children. The bathrooms badly need updating. While they were clean enough, the shower barely worked as the shower head was old and crusted with limescale. The bath was also very small. However, the hotel is in a good location near a Metro station and there is a small grocer across the road.

Hotel is located great, at Montparnasse Blvd, next to fine restuarants and central transportation. Metro (Vavin) is 1 minute walk distance. Rooms are small but OK. We stayed at room facing the backyard that was populated by a restaurant, and it was OK, not to load. Nice small breakfast buffet. Good value for money.

This hotel is in a suberb location, all the liveliness of being in the centre of Paris without the Champs Elysee prices. My wife and our tow young children stayed in a \"Junior Suite\" which was essentially two connecting rooms. Although slightly dated furniture and decor evrything was spotlessly clean, the beds very comfy, and everything worked as it should. As well as minibar there is also a small cooker, kitchen sink and refridgerator which were very handy. Despite the other reviews we did have kitchen utencils! A great hotel for a short sightseeing trip, very handy for the metro and in the centre of all the sights. The staff were friendly and al English speeking, oh and the breakfast was excellent

Room was small, but clean and well equipped (with cooking facilities and fridge, which we hadn't expected). There was enough choice at breakfast to set us up for sightseeing. Easy to find from Metro. Easy walking distance to Luxembourg Gardens and Latin Quarter. Had good time visiting both Catacombs and Montparnasse Cemetery which were both close by - sounds ghoulish, but made a change from cathedrals and art galleries!

Highly recommend this hotel, especially because of its location, lovely safe, friendly, llively,clean part of the city, close enough to everything, Hotel was clean and comfortable and staff were helpful. Australian dollar is so worthless that of course it seemed expensive but would stay there again in a flash, worth paying to be in good area. Could be the difference of loving Paris or hating it, there are some pretty seedy areas which I wouldn't like to stay around especially over near Moullin Rouge annd SacreCor areas. Moulin Rouge is a must worth every cent. Well done Villa Luxemburg.We Loved Paris & Montepanasse

Very reasonable room. On smallish side but with nice view across Blvd du Montparnasse. Air con fine. Lift stopped working for 36 hours before repaired. Breakfast room small with ground to ceiling mirrors but breakfast itself just about o.k. if you are happy with continental - but very limited re British cooked style. Remember to drink the free 1/2 bottle of champagne in each room. We forgot.
