Was disappointed in Villa de Vedetta....thought was quite stuffy and service especially by the pool area was slow. Also shuttle bus stops at 6.30pm which is not great

First the Cons1- bring your own plug converter. hotel charges 20 euros. i feel that they should provide this2- internet can be accessed in your room on a flat screen tv. i find this difficult to use. otherwise, a desktop computer is available at the lobby. I prefer wireless connection in the comfort of my own roon3 - shuttle runs on a limited hours. from 8-6:30pm more or less. cabs can be expensive from the center to the villa aprrox 15-20 euros. plus you must call the cabs in advance. impossible to hail it on the streets. bus is a good alternative. drops you off a minute away from the villa4- breakfast is not included and costs 20 or 30 euros!5- toothpast sucks Then the Pros Great service, gorgeous villa overlooking the entire Florence, peaceful, romanticthey give you a little "present" everyday --a chocolate or a candy, fresh newspaper in clear plastic bag, weather forecast, L'occitane toiletries!quietIt simply is perfect!AdviseBring your own converterKnow the bus schedules and cab contact numberEat breakfast somewhere else. Caffe and brioche by the piazza is much better anway than a free buffet in the villabring your own tooth pasteAnd regarding wi-fi connection---who cares. rest your laptop for once

My wife and I just got back our Honeymoon in Florence and can't say enough great things about this hotel. The location is fantastic and the views of Florence are second to none. We would very highly recommend this hotel to anyone heading to Florence!

My Finance and I stayed at this hotel. It was incredibly romantic. Since it is a small property we never felt lost in the shuffle that happens in a big hotel. The rooms were gorgeous, we had a 2 room suite. We also were able to eat at the restaurant. It was an incredible experience. The food was 5 star all the way. It is without a doubt pricey, so be ready to pay. But it was definitely worth the trip!

The location is sooo beautiful. The room is spacious. The bed was a little to flimsy. The wall needed to be touched up. The staff was friendly. The location is a little far from the main city but I found that too be so nice. One could take a beautiful walk down to the city or one could take the shuttle provided by the hotel however you do need to reserve it. The hotel is a walk away from the Michaelangelo square. This place was a great break from the hotels in the middle of the action and yet close enough to it.

I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL, HOWEVER, FOR THE "LUXURY" PROVIDED, THERE WERE SOME FLAWS IN SERVICE. A BRAKFAST ORDERED ON THE NIGHTLY CARD WAS NOT DELIVERED AND HAD TO BE REORDERED. A WASTE BASKET APPEARED AND DISAPPEARED THROUGHOUT THE STAY AND THE RESTAURANT STAFF KEPT US WAITING FOR OUR DESERT WHILE ATTENDING TO THE NEEDS OF OTHERS. ALSO, THERE IS A "CHEMICAL" SMELL COMING FROM THE WATER IN THE BATHROOM SINK.

Superb...this was so worth every penny. The views of Florence were beautiful and it was even possible to walk 15-20 min and get into the main area of Florence. On the way back however was uphill so we took a taxi. The pool was a great relief after a hot day and it was so peaceful at the hotel. The service was top notch and the room was amazing with luxurious decor. My husband especially liked the flat screen big TV with internet on it. I would definitely want to go back to Florence again, just to stay there again even. I am going to highly recommend this villa to everyone that goes to Florence.
