We booked our family vaction one year in advance and choose Villa Del Palmar as our resort. We arrived to total chaos!. After arriving in cabo at 12noon (6adults and 2children) we were harrassed at the airport, rental car company, at check-in and again by concierge to go through thier timeshare 2 hour presentation. We did not get into our hotel room until 4:30 pm. We were told they had a kids club, but when we checked in the kids club was being renovated and not available. We were told we could choose all-inclusive, but the all-inclusive is not so all inclusive at this resort ( ask lots of questions before signing up) then we were told inwriting tips were not included in th all-inclusive and at check out we were charged for the tips ( after leaving cash tips all along). we were told international calls were $1.50/min. Got home found out the hotel uses some phone company that charged $40 - $50 dollar connection fee for each call. After looking the company up on the internet we discovered this particular company is known for scamming people all over the world. Food at the resort was terrible, service mediocre. However, Cabo is a blast. All of our experiences outside the hotel were incredible. Food is excellent at any of the restaurants in town( Inparticular Maro's Shrimp House on Hidalgo St) Pisces Fisshing tours was so much fun, and would definately recomend the " La Princessa" whale watching and snorkeling cruise. Cabo Dolphins was and incredible experience as well. Also this resort gives you pesos in return for dollars, everywhere else in cabo (including street vendors) gives change in us dollars.

I thought this was nice hotel but I didn't like the fact that they didn't want to except cash except for at the bar, I had to leave a card on file at the front desk to charge my dinner and watever else I wanted to eat at the hotel to the room, this part I didnt like. The staff seemed to be pretty friendly and very accomodating if needed, nightlife is booming there, at night it gets a lttle chilly and the beach water is pretty cold. I enjoyed my time at this hotel, I would stay here again.

A couple friends and myself spent a few days in Cabo for 4th of July. We had a fantastic time! This hotel is a GREAT location! Rooms are average, nothing special about them but beds are comfortable. Drinks are kind of pricey and the conceirge will waste A LOT of your time trying to get you to view a time share.

The overall cleanliness & location. The price was great and the hotel met my expectations. The food in the restaurants weren't four star for the money just average.

I definitely would NOT stay at this property ever again. Although we only needed accommocations for one day, at the beginning of our 3 week stay in our condo in Cabo, and the advertised Good Buy was very reasonable for this location, we would not rate this even a 3 star property. One of the main reasons--there was dripping water directly over the toilet. So if you needed to use the facility you got a shower at the same time. When notified nothing was done. Also, the room location was not an ocean view. it overlooked the parking lot and vacant land. We were very surprised about this property as it's sister property next door, Villa LaEstancia is a suburb property, 5 star, and we thought it would be similiarly operated.

This is a great place to stay, I just came back from vacationing ALONE and had an amazing time! I met people from all over that were young and ready to have fun!! The resort is a social place with fun fiestas in the evening and all day activities at the pool so it's easy to meet people. Cabo's amazing... go have some fun!!!

We booked the hotel because of the main pool. When we arrived they were boarding up the pool area because of renovations. The whole resort is being remodeled. Very, very loud because of consstruction. Was never notified of the construction that would be going on, if we were we would have stay elsewhere.

Close to Los Cobos, but not in town. Spring break - a little noisy. We have stayed in other Villa Del Palmar resorts, so knew what to expect - we were very satisfied except for the noisy people on spring break late at night.

I just got back from Villa Del Palmar and I would definately book there again! My first tip, get out of the airport fast!! We got caught by timeshare people who posed as "staff" to get us to our shuttle bus. Of course the bus was at the "other" terminal and we had to wait there as she talked out ear off and gave us all this free stuff...Long story short. Thay will give you a bunch of freee boat trips and stuff if you listen to their breakfast jib. We got out of it and finally got to the hotel. I have read ALOT about the vultures in that hotel and honestly it was not that bad. I said an emphatic NO to the timeshare people when I first arrvived and was NEVER bothered again!! The hotel was great, staff friendly, pool area clean and wonderful. The loud "echoing" corridors that I read about (and prompted me to buy earplugs) were not bad at all. At night it is quiet and I did not hear any doors slamming. You can find more plush and fancy hotels but this place is comfortable clean and honestly the best locatin on the beach!! I don't want to be too close to the "party" hotels so Palmar was down the beach a bit, yet you are walking distance to everything!! Take the water taxis to the Marina!! Take the whalewatching/snorkel/lunch cruise!! And just enjoy.

A beautiful place, especially the pool areas. But the echo in the hallways was very annoying, mostly from the heavy doors slamming shut. The sound from neighbors using their showers was also amazingly loud. No sound insulation between rooms maybe ? Furnishings was visibly worn and the room was in need of a few more light sources. The bed was extremely firm, same for the pillows. The maids were very friendly and kept the place clean and orderly. The staff in general were also very helpful. But because of the noise we will not be coming back here again.

I was disappointed with the hotel because there was ants in our first room and then we had a $100 credit and everytime we tried using it they would always say we didn't have any credit. I got really annoying because we had to go to the main desk 3 times for them to correct it. The view was the best thing and the swimming pool was pretty cool as well.

Very nice place to stay by the beach. Too many spring breakers, there's no peace or quite all day long, no sleep comfort. I don't think this hotel/time share type give privacy to their customers. They spy on people of what we're doing, where we're going. Not a great place to stay if what you want is relaxing and peace and quite and an alone time.

Of course as soon as the doors opened at the airport we were BOMBARDED with timeshare sales people to give us "free" stuff. Be careful. I would arrange for my transportation before hand if I were you. 90min presentation quickly turns into 3 ours of hassle. Anyway, the hotel was gorgeous, staff was more than pleasant and helpful. I've seen them be VERY nice to people who didn't deserve it The food was not so great. I would say I had 3 nice dinners there. Go to town. Taxi is $7. Cabo Wabo and Giggling Marlin are a lot of fun. Beach was beautiful and accessible right from the hotel. View was breathtaking. Weather was 80s and sunny and dry every day (much nicer than Kansas!). I would definitely stay there again. We had all inclusive deal which made it a great value for the money.

this was more of a family atmosphere.. beach was awsome and it's close to everything.. we only had one issue, but was quickly taken care of. the site is beautifull. i recommend the inclusive 2/ 3 day wrist band option for drinks and eat because it's pricy when paid for individually if you plan on staying at the resort during the day... my oldest son is turning 18 in 3 years and i will be coming back to this place!!

We kept busy with activities at the hotel and nearby - good location - short taxi ride to town. Food was great. Well kept property with helpful staff. Enjoyed the show that we attended. Great restaurants in town too.

WI-FI Charging for the workout area. 15 minute walk to center of town. Local buses available at bottom of hill. Cost for workout room was $10 per day. Nice machines. On the beach.

This was a great locatoion, the service was great. We checked in early with no problems. We loved the resort, food, shows and activities. If you go don't miss the Mexican fiesta and the Beach party. The views of Lands End are breathtaking. All of the staff were great, we had the best and most relaxing time. The only drawback that we had was having to sign receipts for the food and drinks even though we had the all inclusive package, but I wouldn't let that stop me from going back again. I have to say that the staff was the best, giving special thanks to X for making this vacation so great... Thanks to all at Villa del Palmar, Cabo San Lucas....

My two daughters and I stayed here for 12 days. The open atrium hallways created quite a bit of noise!! This is a time share property, but I would advise anyone going there to take the time for the presentation, you will receive a Gold card and all purchases are then half price. Food, drinks, and activities. Presentation lasts about 1 1/2 hrs and a buffet breakfast is included. This hotel has great beach access with plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas. The majority of the staff was efficient and polite. The only problems we encountered was with the check in and check out personnel. They conveniently can't answer questions with a straight answer. I would also advise all travelers staying here to NOT put any purchases on a debit card. I returned home and was surprised to find over 2,730.00 in erroneous charges on my card. Take a cab downtown as it is now a short walk. A cab ride will cost 7.00 each way. I will stay at Finesterra Hotel next time I travel to Cabo.
