Pros: Easy check-in, no deposit for amenities, kitchen, gorgeous and very clean, modern rooms (the bathtub was 2 feet deep!), beautiful views from everywhere, breezy balcony, incredibly helpful staff, plenty of pools, trolley to store/deli, great food... our entire stay was stress-free. Cons: Being sold on timeshares as soon as you check in, persistent vendors on the beach (however, this applies to all the hotels... can't avoid), long drive to airport. Overall an amazing experience - will absolutely go back again.

Great facility, new and in great location. Time shares.

The Hotel is very nice and the Desert Spa is the best we have ever seen including the best of Las Vegas. The room I booked was to be a two bedroom 3 bath upper floor with a Ocean View. They do not promise a ocean view but I was told on two phone calls to the resort I would be put on a prefered list for a view room. Upon arrival I went through a hour and a half battle with the check in people and was told all they had was a garden view and that is what I requested. WELL after getting mad and screwed around I did get a form of ocean view---with a 1bedroom connected to a studio. I will not go back to the Villa Arco again...................I don't like to fight over a room that I am paying about $*u.s.dollars a day to enjoy.

We, like many others, were kicked to the resort next door since they had no rooms available when we arrived. We had a long conversation with Bernardo who guaranteed a room the next day at 3:00. We ended up at La Estancia next door which was excellent. Villa del Arco is a time share resort - period. La Estancia is a partial owner resort. We were told the villa we stayed in was around 760,000 per quarter (13 week ownership). Ultimately we stayed in a 3 million villa for the price of a time share and with none or little hassles from the time share vultures. If you want the freebies that you get with time share presentations, take the 1.00 bus ride to Wal-mart to get breakfast/lunch food for your stay and stop at the time share desk on the way out and ask for Sol. He will give you lots of free attractions - many more than you'll get if you attend the normal time share presentation. La Estancia is quieter, great pool area and you can't beat the rooms. Beautiful. Would love to go back.

Liked the hotel, Time share presentation way too long, Could not use pre-paid phone cards because hotel does not make any $$, Could not break US dollars into smaller bills only pesos. They did not have Kiosk for getting boarding passes. Would go again only look for better rate.

The rooms were excellent. The bed was hard. Almost everything about the hotel exceeded my expectations, except for two things. The beds are hard and not very comfortable and the food at the hotel restaurants was expensive and not very good. We had a very nice kitchen in our suite though.

Rooms are very nice and spaciouswith all the amenities that you need. However, the beds are hard as a rock so you will need an extra matress pad. The fitness facilites have top quality equipment and it is very clean. Staff were very helpful, but pool waiter service slow. Make sure you go to El Faro for happy hour and sushi. Will definately be back with friends.

Awesome place, Beautiful rooms, GREAT BEACH. Nicest Pool area! Valet parking! Cabo is an expensive part of Mexico. It cost the same to go out to eat as it does at home. Book activities in advance, to avoid indecision and price squabbling. Great Place to vacation. It is very beautiful there. I am very happy with Villa Del Arco. I will stay here again. Bar here is kinda spendy, they say 2 for one but then the one cost 7.00 bucks. Well, the walmart is across the way, less than a mile and they have 6 packs of Corona for 5.90 U.S. and the same for the Heiniken. I brought the kids and they loved the pools. We went the Cabo dolphins and that was GREAT. We did the Bucanner queen lunch cruise. Good deal. Awesome trip. I am ready to book again and I have only been back for 8 days. Timeshare is pretty wide spread and is like wildfire everywhere, just keep saying NO! Vendors are on beach everywhere. the part they say is vendor free.... well, there is a rope up, that they can not cross, but they can still see you and ask you if you want their stuff. Still vendors are nice and pretty much respectful.

This was a excellent newer hotel on Medano Beach and we could see the marina and view of the Lands End. WE traveled since 4:00 am and got to the hotel at midnight and they were ready for us and even upgraded tired cranky travelors from a two bedroom to a penthouse that was awesome. That was one of the first blessings! All the service was great. We enjoyed time by the beautiful pool, went on the Wild Canyon Zip lnes, snorkling, and scuba diving. The scuba diving by the Land's End was not the greatest. Lots of fish but not much coral. Went on a glass bottom boat as well! The highlite of course was my nephews wedding and that was beautiful as well. Went into town as well and Cobo was neat! Greatest bestest vacation!! I would go to Villa del Arco again. Typically don't like very touristy areas but this was nice and town was empty when we went. No cruise lines that day. I live in a midwest tourist destination and I am a Realtor so I see lots of resorts and Arco was very upscaled. Very nice!

Large suites. On site pharmacy & grocery store. All inclusive would have been worth it. Food was very good. No swim-up bar. Slow beverage service by pool.

I could not have asked for a better place to stay in Cabo. Villa del Arco was a great resort with a wonderful view. The staff went out of their way to meet your needs and were very friendly and personable. I was surprised that other reviews on here complained about the service, they must be pretty "high maintenance". All of the pools were great. The pools at Villa del Arco got crowded at times, but you have access to the pools and restaraunts at the other two hotels on the site which did not seem to be as populated. The location is very convenient, only a 10-15 minute walk to downtown. Some of the other big resorts were much farther away. The only complaint I had about the whole trip were the people trying to get you to buy a timeshare. However, it is probably worth listening to because we were able to get 50% off all activities that we did that week, plus 10 or 15% off of drinks and food at the resort. So if you are planning on doing a lot of activities I would recomend sitting through the presentation, I saved over 200. Just be prepared for their 60 minute presentation to turn into 2 hours and for them to not get the hint that you do not want to buy. Overall this is a great place and if I were to vacation in Cabo again I would stay at Villa del Arco in a second!

This resort exceeded our expectations by a long shot. Although we paid heavily discounted pricing for our room because of the lull in travel due to the "swine flu" (no cases have been reported in Baja California), we received an unsolicited free upgrade to a one bedroom deluxe accomodation. Since these are timeshares, it included a full kitchen (minus an oven), marble countertops, jaccuzi bath, and large balcony. This is definitely a family-friendly locale. The kids and teens we observed were having a great time in the pools (three pools, all shallow). An all inclusive is offered. We don't drink so we didn't bother. But we did try the pool-side food. Quite literally the best huge plate of steak nachos I've ever had, piled deep with guacamole. Seems like everyone tries and loves the nachos. High quality food, unlike some food included with all-inclusives. The breakfast buffet was also high-quality excellent food. Hotel staff was awesome. I already mentioned the free room upgrade. It's right on the beach, within easy beach walking distance from the harbor. Take a glass-bottom boat ride out to the Arco and Lovers Beach. As a couple, we paid less than $25 for a ride out to see the very tip of Baja California, the famous Arch (Arco), sea lions. The price included snorkeling equipment for two. Snorkeling was great. Bring something to feed the fish. There are 5 or more jaccuzis on the resort grounds. Put everything on your room tab and make one payment at the end of your stay. We enjoyed the steak quesadillas so much at the sandwich shop adjacent to the store on site that we had them for dinner three nights in a row. The only complaint we had about the trip, besides getting sun-burned, was that we only had three days to stay at the resort. We will definitely return.

Beautiful grounds, building new and clean, good food quality. All the linens were worn. Great location, beach, building, room, view. You can drink the water. The only drawbacks are poor linens, and timeshare hassle until you give in and do the sales pitch.

We got the one bedroom suite on the ground floor overlooking the pool and pirate ship. The kids had the living room with murphy bed and tv and kitchen and laundry room and their own bathroom. We got the large bedroom with king bed, great sheets, jacuzzi tub, great shower, dual vanity, toilet. Separate bedrooms. Yeh. We bought the all inclusive but I would recommend that you shop at the super walmart across the freeway and cook your own meals. Way cheaper. The food and service was excellent. The dining experience overlooking lands end is great. The staff were very good. The room was big. The pools are very kid friendly. Not a stuffy atmosphere but definitely a very high end clientele. Most of the place is time share-about 60%. If you arrive on a Sat you get a better pick of the available rooms. Avoid the timeshare sales pitch. We did. Just say NO frequently and they will get the message. I would definitely return to this hotel. We booked on travelocity and got a great deal. Do not take the all inclusvie food. Save your money for the many activities you can do from downtown Cabo whicj is very close to the hotel.

Believe the reviews. Do not stay here. When we arrived we were told there were no rooms available. They would not have any rooms available for our entire stay. We asked for our money back and they would not refund it. They put us in their sister property Villa Estancia which was okay but not what we paid for or where we wanted to stay. After one night at the Estancia they had us move to a different room at the Estancia because an owner was coming in. There are many places to stay in Cabo. I would choose anything except the Villa del Arco.

This was an amazing stay for a singl woman. I felt safe and welcomed. There is minimal security at the hotel, but not a need. I felt safe the entire time. Very friendly people staying here -everyone kind of looks after everyone. The rooms are clean and all have a wonderful view, except for the N side (another building). There is a coffee shop, market, deli, other small stores on property. Water aerobics daily at 11:30 are fun; [...] waiter at pool is excellent! Wonderful resort. If you book regular - and want to try the all enclusive for 3 days (I did) and you will love it! For $85 all you can eat and drink (incl. beer, etc.) no room service for all encl. The entire hotel is VERY clean! The only fall back I booked through Orbitz (w/my air - pk) and the front desk knew and made a point of this. They offered me a garden view and when booking Orbitz stated partial ocean - I challenge the part ocean and ended up w/a ocean view. At check out the process was slow and unorganized! I'd do the express check out that they give you the night prior - if there is a discrepency - utilize your credit card company to mediate. The beds are a tad hard - but not to bad. Pool chair hogs are up early like 6:30am - utilize the one hour written rule stated upon check-in - if they don't return the staff will take/hold their belongings so that you can have their "reserved" pool chair. The front desk - wouldn't make change -but the bell hop could from the back room (they were lazy)! Timeshare pressure upon checking in - if you want to tie up a morning in sales - go for it - otherwise just say no and continue to to the "concierge".I would return to this property.

Comfortable, relaxing, clean, great resort destination. Could use a more economical dinner option. Breakfast & lunch great. Attentive staff, extremely clean and great location close to town, restaurants and night life. Great pool, beach and views. Water taxis right at the resort. Great place to just relax, enjoy the weather and views. Would definitely stay here again.

We travel quite a bit, and have stayed in the best hotels and some of the worst. I consider our family to be "hotel snobs". We are in our late 30's with an 11 year old boy (to give you a frame of reference). The rooms... They're magnificent. Very nice and reminded us more of a nice apartment than a hotel room. We had a 1 bedroom which has a full kitchen, murphy bed in the living room, and a large balcony that spans from living room to master bedroom. No one will be disappointed with ANY room. The "hotel"... If you are very patient with the CONSTANT pressure for a freakin' "gold card", then you must be Saint Francis. It is undying. The Gold Card is the card you receive once you go through their sales presentation. It gives you 15% off anything. But they ask you day and night if you have one (and if you don't, they'll pressure you to get one). It's comical how often they will ask you. Not a whole lot of activities, think of this place like an apartment complex. The food, etc... The food was good. The drinks were good (all beer is in a can). The prices are absolutely ridiculous. You will feel like you are at the Four Seasons because of the prices. We ordered room service one night and paid $93 for 3 people. Seriously. All-in-all, I would go back again. If you are OK with getting groceries, this is DEFINITELY the place for you. If you want to be pampered, go somewhere else.

Wonderful vacation in a great hotel and gorgeous location. we upgraded to a one bedroom with an ocean view after the first night which I would highly recommend, if it's in your budget. All the rooms are nice but the ocean view location made a HUGE difference. Easy access to marina, downtown etc via a short walk or taxi. Many great restaurants in town and sister hotels but steer clear of La Perla in Del Arco as service was horrible and food pretty poor considering the price. Overall, a great spot and one we look forward to returning to.
