Extremely accommodating staff and wonderful rooms, particulary the one and only Junior Suite which was very spacious and beautifully furnished - worth the little extra cost. Out of the main area which is great for access and quietness, however taxi needed to get to the action (not expensive). Highly reccomended.

Villa Antea is, without a doubt, the best hotel/b&b I have ever stayed in! My wife and I spent three wonderful days and nights here on our Honeymoon. Everything about Villa Antea is perfect; the location, decorations, rooms, breakfasts. It is located within a 20 minute walk of most of the major sites. It is beautifully decorated with tasteful art. Best of all, the rooms are very spacious and very beautiful. The bathroom itself is a work of art. Finally, the breakfasts... what can I say? They were very tasty and filling and the Villa offers many different choices. My wife and I will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Florence!

We had an excellent time in Villa Antea. Te staff is excellent, the two young ladies on the desk did everything to help us and to permit us to feel very comfortable during our stay at Villa Antea. They did an excellent job to give us a marvelous service. A special word deserves the breakfast, it was simply splendid. We will be back to Villa Antea in our next visit to Florence and we will recommend it to our friends.

Stayed in a beautiful room but unfortunately the noise from the very busy street was a major distraction.

1. Very Large Comfortable bed (1.8m or 6 feet) in very large high ceilinged room. Large bathroom with walk in shower with undertile heating. Bedroom floor polished wood with good airconditioning if needed. Big opening windows - but see 4. 2. Room well lit with natural light and good lamps for reading at night. 3. Breakfast of fresh fruit, cereal and freshly made bread, croissants and dainty doughnuts. 4. About 20 minutes stroll from centre of Florence - only problem is that road alongside villa is busy thoroughfare and even at night you will hear traffic noise if you're a light sleeper. (We were on 1st floor) 5. Excellent advice for restaurants and reservations made for major museums by hotel - essential.

Our stay at Villa Antea was perfect. We loved the villa and our wonderful room, with its antique furniture and lovely bathroom. We did a lot of sightseeing in Florence and it was always so relaxing to come back to the Villa and enjoy the "charme" of our room. The breakfast was really good. You had a choice between ham, cheese, jam, cereals, fresh fruits and croissants. The Villa lies not in the centre of the city, but it was no problem to walk into the centre (about 15 minutes). The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, their restaurant tips were perfect. Altogether we had a great time at Villa Antea and the beautiful city Florence.

This was a a 40th birthday surprise for my wife. A welcoming hotel with a relaxed and calm atmosphere in quite surroundings. Beautifully decorated with class and taseful attention to detail. Friendly and very helpful staff who were nicely discreet. If you are looking for relaxing surroundings, high quality decor and facilities, without the stuffy feel that some of the "main stream" hotels seem to have then this is recommended without hesitation.

Hotel Villa Antea is a well located gem in the hustle and bustle of Florence. Difficult to find under any circumstance; once found it becomes a great refuge. Easy walking distance to most major sites in the old city, although the walk back after a long day seemed to take a while. No dining on site, but good options nearby and the staff made good recommendations. Rooms were spacious, but noise from the lobby reverberates up into the rooms, as does the road noise outside.

We had a very positive experience. You will need a cab to go to most places. Some restaurants are within walking distance. The staff was very helpful and accomodating. Rooms were well appointed. Breakfast was fantastic.

We stayed in Florence as part of a whole Tuscany tour. The Villa Antea was a gem. The room was huge, as was the bathroom. Incredibly spacious and very nice. The location is a bit out of the way in a residential area, and you have to walk about 10-15 minutes to get back into the main district in Florence. It wasn't a bad walk except while dragging some luggage on the rough narrow sidewalks, so we took a cab back to the station. The staff was exceedingly responsive and helped set up a tour and spa visit for us, plus provided a list of restaurants in the area. Breakfast was delicious with an interesting continental breakfast plus made-to-order egg dishes. The units are reasonably quiet, but it's right on a busy residential street, so there is traffic noise most of the time. I highly recommend this site for those who don't mind a short hike to get to anything. It's also a very romantic setting.

A superb experience and would highly recommend to others. Aurora was especially helpful to us in so many ways. All the employees were very courteous!! We would stay again if we should go back to Florence. 4.0 on our scale with 4.0 being the absolute highest mark.

I have to say the bedroom and bathroom was beautiful. Although, it is a walk to all major attractions, I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The only suggestion I would give is to have a better breakfast. The breakfast is lacking from other hotels I have stayed at.

A great start to our stay in Tuscany. The hotel lived up to expectations and was ideal for a short break. If I'd been staying longer, I'd need a swimming pool out back. Our only negative was that it was a 15 minute walk in to central Florence, but we could have taken taxis! I recommend this hotel to couples and discerning guests.

Great Place!!! Very spacious rooms with huge very nice bathrooms. Great staff (especially Chinzia) who will go the extra mile to help you. A great place to stay while in Florence. Close to center of city (15 minute walk) without being in it. A really good local restaurant nearby for dinner called Il Cavaliere. Great food and prices.
