This hotel was only a short couple of blocks away from the bars and night life so we could walk everywhere with ease. Check in was easy, the beds were big and comfortable. I was in a decent area so we did not feel unsafe at any point walking to or from the hotel. the counter help was happy to help with any needs and even checked in by phone when we were all settled in the room. the only dislike was the parking, the lot was about 2 blocks away in a location i did not care to leave my car in.

The night hotel clerk was friendly. Tiny room, poor service, chintzy decor, way over-priced. The outside building is charming. Inside it was completely different. The locale was only so-so convenient. For the money I really felt overcharged. I would not return nor recommend this hotel to anyone.

this was the cheapest hotel in town when we looked for a place to crash last week during our visit to Montreal. The place is old, the rooms are smallish, and the desk clerk is not the friendliest guy on earth. The beds were OK, the bathroom was old but manageable. they served 'continental breakfast' which ended up being orange juice and a muffin. if you are expecting a luxury hotel, look somewhere else, but if you're just looking for a cheap place to crash in, this is OK. and please do not pay the 15 bucks extra for parking. the 'lot' is just a random open space in a dead end street, and i felt very insecure parking there. there were lots of street parking around the hotel and we regretted paying the 15 bucks before. also, do not ask for any local tips from the hotel lady. we asked where the 'bar scene was in old Montreal' and the lady confidently circled a block of street saying that place is very happening. walked there at night and not a bar in sight!

My friend and I came to montreal for a few days and were looking for something cheap. WE found this hotel last minute and other website reviews told us it was a decent hotel for the money. We arrived around 10pm and we were all ready to just crash for the night. The woman at the desk was extremely dull and seemed as though she didnt care about her job very much. We ended up paying * for the two nights, plus * for a parking fee. (Not to mention, the parking is a random lot about 100 feet from the hotel with absolutely no one watching over your car... or any gates to keep people away from your car. Just a random open lot.). We got our room key and went up to our room. The room was not bad, however very small. You literally have to press yourself up to the wall to get past the bed, to then get over to the bathroom. We also asked for a room with two beds, and this one had only one bed. So I went to complain and the woman, asking no questions what-so-ever, gave us another room. We moved our things down to the new room which was on the basement of the hotel. We began checking the room over and found the bathroom floor flooded, and our new roomate... a million legged bug living in the night stand. The room smelled of mold, and the carpet was ungodly dirty. Unfortunately we had had enough. We told the woman what had happened and, not asking any questions again, promptly gave us a refund. It seemed like she had heard the story plenty of times!

Fun, "old-world"-y; very nice and helpful clerk our night there.

Cheap, clean andwell located. Great for tight budgets. Would stay there again.

The location was excellent but was across the street from homeless people in park, hot showers, & was cleaned daily. It was dark & dreary, poor lighting. I never been to a hotel with such poor accommodations. I was extremely disappointed at my stay there at the hotel. It is really a cross between a hotel and a bed and breakfast (on their sign). The rooms were dark, very small, no closets, the bed was as hard as a board, no iron or ironing board, parking a block away ($60 for 4 days), no elevators, very old worn out furnishings and that's the second room we were in.

Location was convenient to both bus station & convention center. Rooms were small and public areas minimal. Was perfect for my needs: a solo junior business traveler looking for efficient room convenient to center of town, transport and convention center; an excellent value for the price - however if looking for more luxurious accommodations, one would look elsewhere.

Cheap and great location. Room could be larger. Staff could be more helpful. Great value for the money - cheap and in great location. Rooms were nice, with AC, could be larger. Bathroom clean. Wireless internet (doesn't reach all the rooms), public computer available. Some problems with parking.

It perfectly suited my weekend needs. I was pleased with the location and the service. If you need an inexpensive and comfortable hotel just off the beaten path but still close enough to all that Montreal has to offer, this is the place to stay.
