It was quite close to many places. The location was perfect, but this is an older hotel. I think for few more dollars we could have found something better. The staff was really nice and helped with directions and such.

If you truly enjoy staying in a dump that reminds you of the Ghetto, then this is your place. It is dirty, smelly, and just down right terrible. I wouldn't leave my dog there, let alone myself. Take my advice, pay the extra and stay at a nice hotel.

The location of the hotel is very convinient, in the heart of Melbourne, within a short stroll to theaters, China Town and numerous bars and restaurants. It is nice and clean (at least the Bellerive room) with very friendly staff.

I stayed here for 10 days in January of 2007. The rooms were clean & comfortable and the staff very courteous and helpful. This hotel has been around for many years and enlarged piecemeal over that time. To management's credit, renovations are underway as parts of the place are showing their age. Its location is stellar, being right in the center of the Business District and convenient to everything downtown. If you don't mind staying at a place with some "character" this hotel is hard to beat. Prices are very reasonable.

I have been connected with a National association for the Catholic church and have meetings every year, with additional Conferences etc. I have chosen to stay here for over ten years. Now I have the added reason to stay as my son lives in Melbourne and finds it convenient to meet with me after work and have a coffee and chat. We have also on occasion used the dining facilities in the evening. I am about to stay again on the 10th & 11th July and am looking forward to the usual friendly greeting."

I found this hotel very good for the price paid, the location was excellent for all amenities and in just the right spot for access to theatres. The only down point would be that the East Wing is in badly need of renovation. Staff were very helpful.

this hotel is very old, the furnishing inside the room is very old. On my 2nd nite, the bed sheet was not even change!!!! Not worth the money....

This was a good hotel for our purposes. It was convenient to everywhere we needed to go, the room was comfortable with the facilities we expected from such a hotel and the staff were most helpful whenever we asked for such help.
