I have stayed at the Vibe Savoy in Melbourne twice and am booked again to stay next week. The staff are excellent and so are the facilities and location (not to mention the Breakfast!)

We were very pleased with the Vibe Savoy, perfect for travellers who want to be close to Southern Cross Railway station and the DFO stores or the SkyBus to Tullamarine airport - you need to catch a tram or walk a few blocks to get to the main shopping area of Melbourne's CBD. The in-house restaurant was good, and the service terrific. The nicely decorated rooms do not have a sofa but are quite spacious, the bathrooms are a bit of a squeeze but black and white marble looks luxurious.We would go back if we were not wanting a CBD location.

The hotel service was excellent - the reception & valet parking staff as well as the waiting staff in the hotel restaurant were attentive and knowledgeable. The meals in the restaurant were superb! Great location, close to shopping outlets, Docklands & free circle line tram. We really enjoyed our time in Melbourne.

We stayed in the hotel for Melbourne Cup Festivlal 2007. Our room was very nice with the big bed and big cupboard. We arrived on Sat at 8 am and our room wasn't ready yet, but we were expecting that. We left our things in the luggage room and I went to the powder room to sort out my hair and make up before Victoria Derby Day. Before i had chance to finish my make-up, on of the girls from reception came to powder room and notified me that they had available room and we can get it straight away! How good is that! I finished my make up and i had a chance to put my gown not in the public powder room but in my room. Staff was very nice and friendly. I highly recommend it.

Imaginatively renovated old hotel. Like the art deco. Very handy for Southern Cross Station which suited us well, though that is the less interesting end of the CBD. Room comfortable. Service etc fine. Good buffet breakfast.

Have sent email to vibe with few problems. Had to ask for extra towells each day because only re-set room for one person each day. Did not top up mini bar at any time during stay. Reported poor sound on TV but not remedied during stay. Also suggested that they put a sign in their bathrooms, my friend (average height) did not realise step down out of bath was so deep, hit her leg against bar surround and ended up with bruise size of a saucer. Vibe have returned my email and stated that they will take all on board and look at re-training housekeeping and discuss bath issue at next OH& S meeting so in this respect I would stay at the hotel again because they responded in a genuine way to my 'attention to detail' issues.

Excellent location for those travelling on VLine services as it is opposite Southern Cross Station. Staff very accommodating and friendly.
