2 1/2 days in Paris arriving by train: Excellent location, just leave your luggage and go ahead, the Metro is next door. Air condition allows sleeping with closed windows ensuring quietness. Perfect place for a short stay.

Hotel area is quite good with good restaurants & supermaket and is close to gare de lyon train station. Room is really small. the double bed is almost like a single bed. But the bathroom in our room is exceptionally spacios in compare to our room. Room is clean. Do not expect any other hotel services as there's not much public areas in the hotel.

I stayed here for three nights. It's very close to Gare de Lyon. The staff is very nice, very helpful, more than you would expect in Paris at this price point. Room was very clean and maid service was not intrusive. The breakfast is a typical pastry and coffee and juice. Which is fine, but they will bring it to your room which is surprising for the price. I was in Paris for business and had to stay somewhere for a couple of nights before a flight. I would recommend them, there are a lot of restaurants in the area and stores and its an easy walk to the shopping areas. And of course the trains are very close by.

Very attractively decorated and furnished. PLumbing not wonderful- no hook for showerhead and toilet cistern needed attention. But very welcoming- nice breakfast and friendly people. Very good situation for Promenade Plantee and for metro to all parts of Paris and to airport.

Really good position for traveling, just 2 minutes walk from Gare de Lyon. The room was really small but comfortable enough. Maybe the price is a little bit high, but this is Paris. :)

As a busines traveller sick of bland faceless modern hotels my partner and i were very pleased with the Viator. Very pleasant 2 night experience, clean rooms, helpful, happy and friendly staff. Central location close to good restaurants (the Train Bleu restaurant)what more does one need.

I've spent almost 2 full weeks in Hotel Viator while on project in Paris. I was pleasantly surprised by this charming 2-star hotel. My room was small but cosy. It contained a very comfortable 2-person bed, a desk, a small closet and a television. The bathroom was small but convenient and was cleaned to perfection every day. Hotel Viator has a good location in a quiet sidestreet just a short walk away from Gare De Lyon and the Seine. From there on you can easily start your exploration of Paris. The neighbourhood offers you a broad variety of restaurants to enjoy lunch or dinner. Around Place de la Bastille (approx. 5min on foot) you will surely find some excellent places. If it was up to me, I'd give this hotel an extra star for their friendly and helpfull staff. I would recommend Hotel Viator to single travellers or couples wanting to explore the city. Whenever I return to Paris, I'll definitely check out this hotel again.

NEGATIVE ASPECTS The evening we arrived at the Viator, we were very tired after a hard journey. The hotel elevator was broken and the receptionist on duty that day, refused to help us to carry our luggage ( the room was at the 4th floor and I was pregnant). At the end we obtained a discount on the price because of this inconvenient. Our room was quite big despite of the others which were really small, I deduced we were lucky. No bidet, as in standard French hotels. POSITIVE ASPECTS The hotel was really quiet, no noise arrived from outside. It was very near to the metro and to some good restaurents and bars nearby. There was a very good bakery around the corner: try its croissants!!

Very comfortable stay. Despite the construction going on outside, the new windows were a great sound barrier. Very nice bathroom.

This is a very well located hotel very near Gare de Lyon and Airport shuttle buses. There are sloso some good, reasonably priced restos in the area, and excellent metro connections. The owner of the hotel needs to finish redocoratig the lobby and starway. As much as the small rooms are pretty and cosy, the former remains something of an eyesore.
