A perfect place to stay in a fantastic city. Easy to get to from the train station. A 10 minute easy walk. Located on the banks of the Arno river with lovely views. We found the service excellent and very friendly. The rooms are large with airconditioning although it is a little noisy, as the traffic in Florence seems to go all night. I can highly recommend this as a place to stay and will be definitely booking here on my next trip to Florence.

Had the most wonderful time at Bed & Breakfast Residenza Vespucci. Francesco was kind and helpful. The breakfast spread was very nice with fresh fruits and juices along with other delicious meats and cheeses. Excellent American coffee and Cappuccino. Great location in Florence to see all the sites. Francesco made reservations for us at the museums, which saved us a lot of time not having to stand in long lines. Pointed out nice restaurants, etc. Made us feel very special. Also it was great to have free access to a laptop with high speed Internet... Would recommend this B&B to anyone...

I had read the reviews on the excess traffic noise, and yes it was very loud. Just take earplugs. Breakfast was good but it would have been nice to have had fresh bread and crossiants, not pre-packed. The room was very clean and there was a small fridge with soft drinks available free of charge!. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend a stay here

We enjoyed our stay very much. The rooms were large and well-equipped. Although not super luxurious the accomodations were very, very nice. Especially for the price. My husband and I were traveling with two teen children and we were able to book a suite/apt. that had 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms which was terrific and much more economical and homey than booking 2 hotel rooms in a standard hotel. The beds were much more comfortable than they looked. The bathrooms were well supplied with hair dryers, tooth brushes, shampoo, etc. The only comment is that the towels are not as plush as we're used to in the states. Francesco made us feel at home and was very helpful and accomodating. The location is excellent. We could walk everywhere. There was parking nearby for our car. Francesco arranged for the garage to bring our car to the hotel when we were ready to leave so we didn't have to drag our luggage to the garage (which was just one block away). The only slight negative is the street noise. However, the windows were amazingly sound proof when closed. The only thing is that we couldn't open them due to the noise. Fortunately the temperature was quite comfortable with them closed. I noticed airconditioning units in the room so I assume that in the hot weather guests can use airconditioning rather than opening windows. I would recommend this B&B especially for families who want to stay together but have separate bedrooms.

This place is wonderful. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were great, and the location - right on the Arno and within walking distance of many major sights - can't be beat. The only problem with this hotel is that the room at the front (which has a great view of the river) is VERY noisy. Its location next to a bridge incurs a lot of traffic, and on a Saturday night (when we were there) you find yourself hoping there's a special circle in a Dantesque Hell reserved for motor scooter riders. This problem could easily be ameliorated if a simple fan was provided in the room for white noise, and we suggested this to the owner (hopefully he'll act on it - he was very pleased to hear the idea). Otherwise, bring ear plugs if you're in that front room. And bear in mind that much of Florence has the same noise problem. The very tastefully decorated room is terrific otherwise; it doesn't have an ensuite bathroom, but you have access to a private (i.e. no one else uses it), lockable bathroom down the hall. It was worth it for us for the view of the river. Despite the noise, we'd definitely go back - it was the best place we stayed in Italy. Nearby are many of the major sights and some wonderful eating places. Francisco (the owner) recommended Trattoria Marione, a few blocks away, and it was wonderful.

A lovely room with a fantastic view of nearby cathedral and ponte vecchio. Sitting room and bedroom are beautifully furnished in antique florentine fashion. Few downsides include evening road noise and limited range of wireless Internet. Staff was incredibly friendly and helped us make last minute museum reservations.

We are a family with two children, 8 & 11. We shared the family suite, which was big and very beautiful. Francesco is charming and helpful and the breakfast was good. The location is fantastic, right on the river, but not in the middle of the tourist crowds. I would recommend taking insect repellent, because we were bothered by mosquitos even in November (it was cold). We have the same problem at home in Rome, and there's not much one can do, but repellent might help. We highly recommend this place!

Francesco met us at the front desk and was so welcoming. You will not find a more helpful host. He made us dinner reservations each evening and even shared a bottle of wine with us. The rooms are good sized and nicely decorated. The full sized soaking tub and heated towel bars are something my wife looked forward to in the evenings ater walking all day. Francesco even opened up the breakfast room early for us one morning as we needed to depart early. Fresh fruit for breakfast was appreciated with all the other cereals and usual breakfast items. You will be very happy with your stay here.

Our host, Francesco, was outstanding!!! He went out of his way to see that we were comfortable. He did everything from helping us with computer searches, to making restaurant reservations, to making reservations for us at museums so that we did not have to wait in the long lines to get in. Francesco is the absolute best. Of the three places we stayed during our visit to Italy & France, Residencia Vespucci is NUMBER ONE!!!!! The cappucino and daily continental breakfast were perfect! Thank you for making our stay in Florence a memorable one!!!!!

Residenza Vespucci B&B is located within an historic building on the Arno, within easy walking distance of most major museums and sites of interest. The staff provided excellent nearby restaurant suggestions. And the staff couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating.

A clean, well-maintained B&B with huge bathrooms by any standard. Our 3-bedroom suite was well furnished and very comfortable. But...it was really loud at night. Perhaps the location (right by the Vespucci bridge) was the issue, but unless you are a heavy sleeper (ear plugs) or are a group planning to stay up late, the sound of cars, trucks, scooters and definitely police vehicles never stopped throughout the night. The perk of this building's solid construction is also a downside as the sound reverberated from the street, through the windows and curtains and made it tough to sleep. I can't speak to the rooms in the front, and its a shame because the facility is tastefully decorated, offers a great view of the Arno and is located in walking distance to just about all of the major sites, not too mention the host was extremely nice and helpful, but unless you're a heavy sleeper, I have to reserve a recommendation.

Beautiful location on the Arno river with views a balcony in main suite area and bedroom. Very clean, very pleasant. Wonderful central location to Duomo and Uffizi and view of Ponte Vecchio. Highly recommend. Very noisy due to streets surrounding. Bring earplugs for a more restful sleep. Would definitely stay again.

This stay was absolutely fantastic! The rooms were HUGE! Very spacious and beautifully decorated. Since we were a family of 5, we got the whole area (3 bedrooms plus family room)all to ourselves. The location was PERFECT. Right on the outside of the center, situated along the river with a gorgeous view of the sunset. The hosts of Vespucci were so friendly. They accomodated are every need and when I left my camera battery behind in the room, the owner spent a heck of a time trying to courier it to us all over Italy. He even ended up picking up the tab for it too. I would recomment this place to everyone I know and I would definitely go back. Thank you for taking such good care of us!
