Okay, went used this Hotel for memorial day weekend. Decent location across the street from Miami Beach. I walked to south beach and it took about 40min. We took a cab for then on and it was only 5-7 dollars or the bus which is 2$. 5 to 10 min ride max..The hotel it self was okay for just sleeping there. No I wouldn't let my future kids sleep here. But for a trip with the fellas. Perfect.

The customer serive was terrible, the room was dirty, old, small, it was a mess, I'm glad that we stayed there just for a night. They don't have parking lot so we had to park 5 blocks away paying $1/hr, so do your math, if you want to stay more days and pay parking from 8am to 6pm will be kind of expensive. The only good thing was the location 1 block from miami beach. I don't recommend this motel (Hotel is a big word for that)

I read the reviews for this hotel before booking it and chose not to listen to the bad reviews. I've stayed in some not so great hotels before and was really just looking for a bed in a good area, thought we would be ok here. WRONG!!! Do not waste your money on this hotel no matter what the price is!! Hotel is extremely old and should be shut down. Every room door has marks along door frames showing somebody at some point has attempted to break in. First room we went into, window was not even in frame, anybody could come by and push window and gain access to room. Bathroom light was an extension cord with a light bulb at the end hanging off the wall. Our second room was about half the size. Paint was peeling from the ceiling. Televisions do not work except for maybe 1 spanish channel. Rooms absolutely filthy. Bathroom vent did not have cover so rusty fan blades were showing. Bedroom closet had a huge hole in the wall which hotel attempted to cover with a shoe box!!! We were supposed to stay for 4 nights and we only lasted 12 hours in this hotel. Absolutely astonished that Orbitz sells this property!!!

When we arrived it was prior to the 3:00 check in and any time before in my entire life I have always been able to check in prior to 3:00 (even in Vegas). Our room was fairly clean, however, the hotel as a whole is a dump. No assessable parking, we went there for the BCS championship game, so we weren't in the room that much, and ran into some people we knew that were also staying there. We went to their room since they had arrived the day before, and it was a "real dump" The room was not clean, it was old and had an odor like mold or something. I was really concerned about what my room was going to be like, so when we did finally get into or room, it was like going from the roach motel to maybe a Holiday Inn, even though it really wasn't that nice, but compared to our friends room it was. We are young and like I said were not in the room that much, so it worked for what we needed. It was close to Southbeach, but I would be very careful on staying here. If you just need a place to crash, take a quick shower and stay gone, it would work, but if you're planning on bringing a date, kids, or spending much time in your room, go elsewhere.

The Venezia Hotel did not meet my standards for cleanliness. The room was very small. I couldnt open the closet door all the way without hitting the bed. The bathroom was old and dirty. The shower drain did not work adequately and there was paint chipping off the bathtub. Needless to say, everytime I showered I was standing in a puddle of water with floating paint chips. I had to find hotel staff to get towels as there were none supplied in the room when I got there. The continental breakfast consisted of coffee and packaged danish or muffins. The location 2 blocks from the beach was the only perk of the hotel in my opinion. I would not go back or recommend this hotel to anyone.

If you're a group of young adults, looking for a simple hotel with nice staff where you can basically shower & sleep, then I definitely recommend this hotel. There were 4 of us in total and we got a room with 3 beds. When we arrived, the A/C was on, the room was clean & very organized & was a very good sized room. The beds were made nicely & there were towels folded at the end of the beds. The bathroom is small & could use a few upgrades, but it was clean & had soap/shampoo, all you need. There's also a good sized closet next to the bathroom, but we just lived out of our luggage for a those few days. The room was cozy and we only went to the room to shower, change, and sleep. The breakfast is very simple, the lobby was neat, they had a cute little deck outside w/tables & chairs, and you are just a few blocks away from the beach and Collins Ave & Ocean Drive. Fort Lauderdale is only a short drive away as well, which I recommend visiting. We rented a car, but if you want to stay on South Beach only, there's plenty to do w/out a need for a car. If you are looking for a bargain in Miami, I would definitely say stay here. Just know it's not a luxurious, expensive hotel.

This hotel had mild on the ceiling and mildew throughout the room. I went to the room and practically ran back down after seeing their poor excuse for accomodations.

One of the worst hotel I have ever seen. Very very old and the staff doesnt even understand english here. They are very very rude. I personally recommend everyone not to stay in this hotel.

Once again the service was great, rooms were nice for the price you pay. Very easy to get to by city bus (saves lots of money too).

The Venezia Hotel, Miami Beach, Florida was just another hotel. There was nothing special about it nor did it have any amenities. There was coffee in the mornings only and the construction of the hotel is older. the cleanliness of the hotel was adequate and it's proximity to the beach and restaurants was great.

I didn't feel very secure at this hotel. Parking was only at the occasional parking meter, no lot at the motel. My wife, daughters and friends on the day of our friends wedding were delayed because the hotel had a rusty water pipe break. We wanted to go somewhere else and check out that day and the hotel management wouldn't let us.

The Venetia hotel was not suitable for my stay at all. I have a 10month old baby boy whom I had to carry up and down the stairs because the elevator was broken. The hotel looked rundown. I could go on and on, AWFUL

From the time we checked in we were greeted by friendly faces. Even though we got there before the regular check-in time we were offered an earlier time for an additional $25 which we were just happy to pay after a 5 hour commute. The room was clean, and the location is just a block away from the beach, what more can you ask for. This is a place to go rest after a hard day at the beach or hitting the town THUMBS UP!

Very old and dirty. Walked to room after check in and walked back down to check out.

This is a very old building. Room was clean. Obvious effort to maintain as best as possible. The price simply cannot be beat, which is a major factor for us. We would definitely stay there again as our interest is simply for a clean, comfortable place to sleep while we enjoy the area and family.

The Hotel Venezia is a great value for the money. The city bus took us just two blocks away from the hotel, which is a great deal compared to the taxi fares. Across the street is Indian Creek with beautiful homes on the water and just two short blocks away is Miami Beach. If you're looking for a cheap hotel in an expensive area this is the place. It's not the nicest I've ever seen, not many amenities to choose from, but for the money I thought it was well worth it and I would stay there again next time. I have to say, these rooms weren't the most amazing I've ever seen by any means, but the air conditioning was the absolute coldest I've ever had and that makes it well worth it in the sticky Miami heat.
