Vasilikos Beach Hotel

The Vasilikos Beach Hotel is one of the most comfortable and well -organised hotels on Zakynthos and owes its name to the area where it is built. The hotel consists of three separate blocks of accommodation, open-plan reception, Bar, Swimming Pool and Breakfast area all with a relaxing atmosphere. St. Nicholas is a small cozy resort within Vasilikos which is an area covering the South eastern peninsula of the island including the marine park gulf. This green area comprising of olive trees & pine forests is both luxurious & relaxing and is considered "The" place to stay for a quality experience. By day explore the several sandy beaches including Gerakes or "Turtle Bay" the main nesting site of the the Loggerhead turtles. Hillside & olive groves provide many interesting walks. For the evening traditional tavernas abound offering a plentiful choice of local cuisine. The main road brings you from Zakynthos town through Argassi into Vasilikos. On entering the pine forest turn left to St. Nicholas following the road for about 500 metres you will find cottages, apartments, 2 mini-markets, 3 tavernas and the Hotel Vasilikos Beach on your left. A few metres further finds you on the beach. The nearest large resort is Argasi where there are pubs, clubs & restaurants to spend a lively evening. Taxi fares are approx. 1 euro per kilometer. A limited bus service operates. The fare is 1.30euro. You can enjoy your breakfast on the garden terrace, or a cool refreshing drink in the evening. The breakfast buffet offers a selection of traditional Greek and European faire. Service is from 8-10 am. Food is served all day at the poolside bar.
