Good location and value. Very comfortable room and the Notre Dame decor is nice.

For the most part the staff was very pleasant and helpful. The sofa sleeper bed was not comfortable. A quality hotel with suite accommodations. Very well-kept.

We, my boyfriend and I, love this place. We often visit friends in the area and stay here at least once a month. The staff is always helpful, friendly, and kind. The suites are always clean and stocked with lots of extra pillows and blankets. The hotel is right down the street from a ton a reasturants, shopping plaza's, and the mall. This hotel is the just the best. If you're traveling to the South Bend/Mishawaka area this is where you must stay. You won't have any complaints.

We arrived and checked in. we where returning our son to college. So right after check in we left for the campus. Upon returning, we noticed an odor, but did not pay much attention to it. Later that evening we turned on the air conditioner in the bedroom and the odor got worse, and the room never got cool. Being extremely tired from our 600 mile drive, we tried to turn in, shortly after that both my wife and I started to fill very ill, and began coughing. I called the main desk to ask if our room could be changed, but was told the place was full no rooms left. They said they would send maintenance, which they did, the maintenance man agreeded that the room smelled very moldy. He also said there was nothing he could do that night, about the air conditioning, but he would speak to the front desk, and he was sure they could move us somewhere. Noboby ever bothered to contact us the rest of the night. We called several other motels hoping somebody would have an opening for the night, but no luck. We had to open all the windows to help with the odor, but could not sleep. In the morning we spoke to the General Manager, nobody had reported the situation to him. He immediately move us, saying he thought the room had mold in it also, and did not charge us for that night. The room he moved us to was m uch better. But nobody ever check back with us to ask how we where filling. And to this day one week since check out , both my wife and I still are having medical problem with our beathing.

The Varsity Clubs in Mishawaka was the best place we ever stayed in that area. I thought the room was tastefully decorated and super comfortable. The bed was very comfortable as well. We loved the fact that it had a balcony. It was quiet and peaceful and I didn't mind hangin out in the hotel when we had down time. I would definitely visit again!

The housekeeping staff was friendly and did a good job of meeting our needs. There is nothing we did not like about this hotel. The Varsity Club of America hotel offers a very comfortable stay that has a very good housekeeping staff. The rooms are spacious and are very clean, we especially enjoyed have a kitchenette to cook a quick meal or snack. There is plenty of things for kids to do as well, besides swimming.

Hotel was very comfortable and clean. THe staff left something to be desired. The person who served breakfast in the morning obviouly did not want to be there. THis was over a 4 day period with the same attitude.Lobby staff was also unfriendly-like they were doing you a favor. However, the hotel was clean and very convenient.

The Varsity Clubs of America in South Bend,IN, was a pleasant surprise for the money. The one bedroom unit was large, comfortable and very clean. The large bathroom and separate sink/dressing area was huge with a wonderful lighted makeup mirror on the wall. Lots of closets and drawers, more than enough for two night stay. There were great restaurants in close proximity, which were appreciated because the hotel does lack even a breakfast service during off-season (no football) weekdays. We stayed there in transit to another location, but would definitely stop there again. An added bonus was the history of Notre Dame sports surrounding us on all the walls.

If you are making a trip to South Bend I would highly recommend staying here. The staff is friendly and very funny. The rooms are great. I don't think I have ever been in such a HUGE shower! Very clean, very nice... great atmosphere. My only complaint is that they do not include breakfast. A continental breakfast is going to cost you almost $6.00 and the hot breakfast bar is about $10.00. Other then that it is a very nice place to spend a few days.

All of the rooms at Varsity Club of America are suites, which is excellent for families as it includes a kitchenette, sofa sleeper, large bathroom, and TVs in both the bedroom and the living room. The hotel has paid attention to detail as in providing extra towels for possible extra guests, dish soap and drying rack for washing dishes, blenders, electric skillet, a larger dorm-type fridge, etc. The hotel is part of an eco-friendly group of hotels, and even provided a recycling bin in the room, along with natural, eco-safe toiletries. The pool was heated and large enough for families to have plenty of space to swim and play. The work-out facility had newer equipment, and the room was kept at a cooler temperature to off-set the excess body heat generated in the room. Off of the work-out room was a 20 person, 3ft deep spa. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. There is only one restaurant; we were there during the week, and it was not open. They could also have a week-day breakfast bar or something similar--although we did have a suite and could have made breakfast in our rooms. Another plus is that there are plenty of restaurants and stores(including a great brew pub across the street) on the street, which are walkable. We have told many friends about this place and will book there anytime we're back in South Bend. Our three year old daughter had such an excellent time there that she's begging to go back.

Varsity Clubs of America is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at. The room was very clean as well as the rest of the hotel.

Nice suite. Room was clean and nicely decorated. The kitchenette was cute, great for those quick snacks that you can make yourself. The only thing that I would like to see would be a larger tv in the livingroom. All and all it was a great place. Room rates when we stayed were very economical, although the rates on N.D. football weekends seem to be out of sight but then they are evrywhere.

The Varsity Club was warm and friendly. It had a comfortable suite with a couch that pulled out into a queen-size bed. The counter had four chairs that made a perfect place to play board games. The exercise room, spa and pool were all clean and fun. The best part was the billard room. It also had a nice lounge and bar area. I recommend it for not only family gatherings but also for business.

The Varsity Clubs Of America-South Bend, in Mishawak, IN is a nice property with good amenities. I only stayed one night so did not have time to use the pool, but it looked inviting. I did use the wireless internet to check email and enjoyed the whirlpool tub in my suite, which was separate from the nice long vanity just outside the bathroom. There was a full size closet in the bedroom, which had its own cable television, and a kitchenette with coffee maker, small fridge, microwave and electric fry pan. The kitchenette is separated from the living room by a counter with 4 bar stools. Since there was no desk, I used the counter for my workstation. An update to the furniture would be appreciated, but it was serviceable. If the weather is nice, ask for a room with a balcony. I had dinner at one of the many restaurants just a block away, but was running late for a meeting the next morning on checkout, so did not take advantage of the hot buffet breakfast they had prepared. It sure smelled good as I walked by! I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The Varsity Club is very close to all the dining and shopping you could want. They had a breakfast buffet that appeared to be decent and a bar where you could order a sandwich. We ate at the local restaurants which were extremely close. The room was a suite with a 6 foot whirlpool tub. It was a very comfortable suite and a very nice hotel.
