Lovely room and reception staff were excellent

Had to queue 30 minutes at check in desk. Only one person working on reception and the queue went out of the door. Our room was OK but looked a bit tired. The hotel facilities are great though! And the grounds are nice.

Vale hotelA very good hotel iin a nice quiet location. The restaruant food was excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly. Only downside was the popularity of the pool and facilities which were very busy.

Food in bar.Staff in the bar area were not very helpful when I tried to order food. Tables were not kept clean and staff in general did not appear interested. Could not fault any other aspect of my stay.

Ransomed for breakfast, golf hotel in the middle of nowhere. But not difficult to find from the M4. Breakfast is fiercely expensive as the location means there is nowhere else you can get fed. Quiet (if there is no golf tournament on), impressive, impersonal hotel in nice location.

La Cucina restaurant closed except Sunday, and limited choice in other restaurants so went into town which is circa £25 taxi ride each way. Rooms first class and bathroom excellent. Relaxing atmosphere, perfect for a lazy weekend. Leisure club unbeatable.

A Relaxing Getaway or not....I booked into this hotel for 3nights for a relaxing break and although is prides itself on the 4 stars it has acquired ,we didnt think the hotel reflected this. The room was fairly basic and missed out things like complimentary water , the room itself wasnt clean - I had to clean out the bath myself and the bed cover was frayed and dirty on the underside - it lacked any attention to detail . Whilst I also appreciate it was a busy weekend for the hotel over Easter, the hotel was noisy and had to wear earplugs to drown out the noise from the corridors outide of my bedroom and the noise of people outside late at night - it certainly wasnt a relaxing experience .

Very disappointed with hotel. Potentially great but let down by poor service in cafe bar, public areas lacked style/warmth in places, poor food for quality of hotel, very expensive drinks. However receptionists were very good (can't remember name but blonde) as was the porter/concierge (Mike).Rooms comfortable but quirky in that could not close curtains properly because of poor design of recess so light showed around edges of curtain at night. Lights badly placed so bathroom and main light in difficult places and away from where you really want to use them. Parts of the hotel were poorly designed - they were like bland service corridors. Italian restaurant had closed down and the cafe bar lacked character, warmth and everything else. Plates and glasses were not cleared away very much and staff were distinctly disinterested and unhelpful. However in the restaurant in the morning the valiant chef cooking breakfast at the front was a star - he carried breakfast for everyone else. He ran around cooking eggs etc and fetching more trays of other food with virtually no help. Front of house - again very little clearing up of tables happened and one person left half way through. Had a drink in the bar one evening and had to ask for nibbles which everyone else had been given without asking. Dinner dance in the evening was well organised but let down by very average food. Pool lacked character also - not a wonderful spa experience.

Very nice hotel, facilities excellent, quality of accomodation excellent. Breakfast was superb, can't comment on evening meal as we ate out. They could do with improving the access off the main road in the future. All in all highly recommended & would stay there again.

Beautiful hotel...cannot fault it.. noisy neighbour issues were resolved immediatly by friendly, helpful staff.

I chose to eat in my room rather than in the restaurant. I ordered fish goujons with a dressed salad and chips with tartare sauce as stated in the menu. I actually recieved fishfingers with chips and peas, and tomato sauce. The bathroom looked tired and there were water marks on the floor and around the toliet where there have been leaks in the past.

Family friendlyWe had a funeral and so the wife looked after the kids at the hotel. The creche was very supportive and welcoming. They even got the eldest to make a christmas tree decoration. We had a massive family room and breakfsat was great.
