Comfortable bed and clean room. Biggest negative was the lack of parking. We got to the motel late and had to walk two block away.

had to stay here because it was the only open room for 10 miles around. The room stank we had to park across the street at a gas station i couldnt even take a shower in the morning and they overcharged us for all of it , it was a block from where we needed to be and still decided to stay the rest of the time a 20minute drive away .

they don't have enough parking, we had to go looking for the luggage rack to unload our vehicle, there was a dog in the room across from ours that barked all night...we had to park our truck at the store...10.00 for one room key, there where things left in room from persons before us, i will never go to a vagabond again....

Front Desk was nice and helpful. Close to public transportation. Location not the best. Breakfast was mediocre. Eating facility poor. Room and Bath dirty. Room smelled. Parking poor.

The hotel bathroom was not clean. Plumbing in bad shape. Bathtub shower was filthy.

The Vagabond is nothing more than a place to sleep the physical condition of the facility is in need of improvement. Our bed squeaked, the carpets in the rooms and halls were worn and in some places threadbare. For the money spent one would expect at least a small frig and microwave in the room. The tub fixtures were old and leaky the tub was stained and looked dirty. Have stayed in * a night "Mom and Pop" motels that were cleaner and more modern than the Vagabond.

My husband and I wanted a cheap hotel so we could get away for the weekend. A less expensive hotel means more money to spend. The fixtures in the room were old and a little worn, but it was a clean room. It is in walking distance to a ton of stores, the beach, the aquarium, gas stations, and food places. I would stay there again.

This is the most disgusting, dirty place I have ever stayed. There were cigarette burns in the carpet, and the bedspread. The whole room smelled bad. The box spring was severely stained. The room did not look like it had even been cleaned. The bathroom sink was on a tilt and even the water came out going side ways. The bath tub was filthy, I showered with flip flops on and would not walk around with out shoes on my feet. The window overlooked an ally way with overflowing garbage cans and people could see right into our room. Terrible experience, will NEVER stay at a Vagabond again.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"I have stayed in many hotels but I have to say the vagabond is quite possibly the worst. the bathtub was backed up in the morning so it was not possible to take a shower. and when you turned on the heater it smelled like someone had dropped 1000 dead rats in the heater. the room was dirty, the sheets hadn't been changed. I should have called the health inspectors but I didn't, I don't then anyone should be forced to stay in a place like that even if it is the last thing available."

The rooms are excellent. What i like the best is the free breakfast in the morning. The front desk staff and the manger are friendly. They have nice, comfortable lobby to sit. But best of all is the price, u cant beat it.

"This hotel was horrible and I would only recommend it to the poor and desperate. We were there 3 days and nights. Room smelled very bad and like cigarettes, the room was barely cleaned, no coffee pots as advertised, the parking was a mess and we had to keep parking off the hotel property. We asked housekeeping for extra towels and left a tip twice and never received extra towels. We only stayed here more than one night because no other hotel in the area had any rooms. We would not make reservations here ever again. The place was in a very run down condition."

"The hotel itself isn't too bad. The front desk people were okay. Breakfast wasn't a ""warm breakfast"" Just cakes, fruit and pastries. Rooms are spacious, cleaning was good. Parking is terrible and in an alley. I wouldn't recommend this place for people who expect luxury."

"You will not find a better price in downtown Long Beach. The rooms are clean, parking is adequate, and staff is friendly. The mattress was uncomfortable and the room smelled funny. It's a good price."

The motel was clean and the room cleaned on time. Bathroom was clean. Very old fashioned place with need of updates in paint and decor but worth the money. Terrible that they charge for safe whether used or not. And that was not mentioned at all. Parking was tight but no one mentioned the additional parking in the rear of the motel which was unused by everyone it appeared. I would stay again though.

"I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff was inadequate & rude, the hotel parking was awful, what is listed on their site is NOT available. There is an overall feeling of icky. Be careful in this hotel."

"This hotel should not have been rated at the three star level, closer to two. The friend desk staff was friendly upon check-in and the room was relatively spacious, however, the overall quality/decor/up-keep of the hotel left much to be desired. Additionally, the parking is terrible, we were unable to leave the hotel for almost an hour b/c our car was blocked by another guests car that hadn't left the keys at the front desk. I would not stay at this hotel again"
