Nice location, near dinning.

I extended my stay another night and the manager helped.

When we arrived at the Vagabond Inn, we were informed that there would not be any hot water during our stay. Since we had plans to meet some of our family, there was no time to try to find another room. The room was just barely acceptable. The matress on the bed was very old and very uncomfortable. The only way that I would stay here again is if there was no other place to stay. They gave us a 10 refund for each nite of our stay to make up for the lack of hot water. We were not very comfortable with the neighborhood and I had to call the manager twice to ask him to quiet the people in the next room. Once at midnight and the other at 2 AM. Both times there were a bunch of people in the parking lot making a lot of noise and keeping us awake. Not a very plesant stay.

Convienent to the downtown area. Parking can be a problem when all units taken. The people are always courteous and more than happy to be of help when needed.

It was a good stay in Vagabond Inn, acutually I had to attend a seminar at chico state and it is one of the closest Motels available

This Hotel was just fine for the money. The staff at check in were not the most comforting. Too many rules to follow and treated the six members in our party like we were college kids. The location was great and the stay was not a total flop. Other than the attitudes, the stay was plenty addiquate for the price.

The location was easy to get to from the freeway, and downtown location was convenient. The air-freshener was over-powering! This was an older hotel located in downtown Chico. Not much to write home about, but a fair price for the room. Ok for business, definitely not a romantic getaway!

Rooms stank like urine, pillows were flat as pancakes, dingy, noisy. Would NEVER stay there again at ANY price.

I found the facility very basic, but neat, clean, and comfortable. It seemed to be safe and quiet. It is convenient to downtown Chico.

Location, cleanliness & friendly staff. Noise and smoke smell. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable and the hotel was in a nice convenient location. We had a non-smoking room which might have been recently designated as such, or the smoke smell might have been coming from the linens. There was also knocking in the walls all night, but if we turned on the heater/fan it covered up the noise. All in all, the stay was fine and I would recommend this hotel if your expectations aren't too grand or you are not too finicky a sleeper.

We paid for a package as a convenience and when I got to the hotel I was very disappointed. It was dingy and in a not so great a location. I left after 3 hours and moved to another hotel which was much closer to my seminar.

From the time we arrived after a four hour trip with kids in the car to the time that we left the Vagabond Inn in Chico it was a nightmare. We arrived to find out that our room was not ready for check in. Check in time was 1:00 pm and we got there at 2:30pm and the room was not ready. The office smelled of body odor horribly and the person at the desk looked like he had just climbed out of bed. We checked out the outside of the premisses and all of the plants were dead and the steps looked as though someone had thrown up on them. We entered our room (late) and saw that it appeared to be fairly clean. The entertainment center looked as though it were falling apart, but we could deal with that. We were in a hurry to get ready for the wedding in Chico so didn't have time to do much of anything before hand. The beds were somewhat comfortable and the room stayed pleasantly cool throughout the night. The next morning we woke to a plugged toilet that backed up and the bed that the kids slept in looked as though a dog had urinated all over the side of the mattress. We rented two rooms. My daughter found something foreign under their bed that looked like rotten food or fecus and grapes were all over the floor. I would not recommend this Inn to anyone and would suggest the health dept check this place out. My opinion this place should be shut down.

Great location right off to I-5, near lots of restaurants, shopping and attractions. Walk-ins got cheaper with coupon. An older, plain motel, it was fine for a bed and one short night stay. But not much beyond that.

Centrally located in Chico, easy walk to downtown stores. Good value for what you get, nice pastries in the morning. Smallest pool I have ever saw but we went to one mile anyway so it didn't matter.

The Hotel Staff was nice and polite. The hotel was dirty. The location was so-so. The staff was nice. They had to spray so much Febrile in the room so that when we walked in we were coughing and had to leave the door open to air it out. Only one light worked in the hotel room. The iron I used in the room ruined my nice pair of pants. Overall what I paid for the room was not worth it. The mattress wasn't even a real mattress! Didn't like the place.

Basic but clean facility conveniently located in Downtown Chico. Most of the clientele appeared to be out-of-town twentysomethings who were visiting their college friends. Some of the rooms are undergoing renovation, which is probably a good thing. Noise was not a problem (but I'm a heavy sleeper).

Close to downtown, fridge and microwave. No bathroom counter, old. Great value, decent location, no shortage of restaurants. Hotel is great if your going with a bunch of guys, your significant other problems would not want to stay at this place.
Date of Stay:

Cheap. The room itself. Paint chipping on walls and doors, ceiling cracking, cable wasnot working, internet hard to access, no continental breakfast, inadequate amount of toiletries and towels, television had lots of static.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking was not great not enough spots andhad to park on the street one of the nights. Hotel is comfortable and quiet! I would stay again.
