They try to put the hard sell on you for buying a time share.

Every room has a fireplace, we were told, but little did we know that the "fireplace" is really just a video of a fire, projected onto a mirror from behind a couple of plastic logs when you press a button on a special remote! One of the logs has a strip of red foil on it to simulate an ember. As you can tell by my ratings, it was otherwise a good place, but I do have one more complaint: When I reserved the room I requested the best possible view of the mountains. A reservations-desk employee, called my home the next day to assure me they would provide such a room. However, after arriving at our assigned room we opened the curtains to see a view of a backhoe sitting on a recently cleared lot across the street. The mountain views were on the other side of our building, and since there was only one other car parked at our building, I'm quite sure there were some vacant units on that side.

Fantastic location, large room, and pleasant staff. The sofa bed was unbelievably uncomfortable. If you are visiting Jiminy Peak, this property can't be beat. Stayed in the 800+ square feet room - it was truly huge. Nice electric fireplace, kitchen, two TVs. Very helpful and friendly staff. The pool was great. The bed in the bedroom was fine, however the sofa bed needs to be replaced.

I had hoped this location would be good for our family ski vacation, but wasn't too concerned about the luxury level of the room. I was looking for clean, safe and larger than a normal hotel room, as I had two kids, my husband and I staying in the same hotel room. I was very pleasantly surprised when we walked into our "b" style condo. The room location offered pleasant views, the kitchen and living rooms were fairly expansive, the fireplace was a lovely touch!Bathroom was huge (who needs all that room!)? The front desk personnel were quite friendly and helpful. The only negative I can find was the bed quality. I would call this a resort, if the mattress on the bedroom bed were upgraded. The mattress on the pull out couch was terrible, but I didn't expect a pull out couch to have a good mattress. I do expect that from the main bed.All in all we would definitely return!

The location in respect to Hominy Peak was great! The shower was a bit small. Overall, the space was great. It has amazing views, great location, and the rooms were very large and well stocked with everything one could need. The fireplace was nice for the night, and the kitchenette was very handy. The only thing that could have made the room better was a bigger bathtub, or better yet, a jacuzzi tub! (I stayed in the B room, the A room's have Jacuzzi.)

PROS: This was our first time using our RCI time share in the Fall at this beautiful hotel! The place was Clean and Furnished well. The views were outstanding look out at the mountains. The fireplaces in the rooms were a perfect touch! Vacation Village is a place for both a romantic getaway and a family vacation.CONS: Privacy was poor the wall are uninsulated & not built for silence between units. I had the unit next door banging on my door @ 8:30pm and ask us to lower the T.V. in the living room; because his kid were trying to sleep. This ruined my night; and would definitely make my family to not return to Vaction Village in the future.

Economical and comfortable for a family of 4. No parking directly outside our unit ( set aside for disabled spaces which were not needed). Not really a hotel. A lot of separate buildinggs like condos with a central pool, games, reception area.

The queen suite was more than we expected. Quite roomy for two, would accommodate 4. Large bathroom, kitchen and eating area. Very clean. Gracious staff. Free internet room at lodge. Fun activities and a large indoor pool area. Would stay here again.

The hotel is nice, well situated and seems to have adequate entertainment for all seasons for families. Our biggest issue was the whole checking process. We showed up at 2 PM (the hotel requires guests out of their room at 10 AM) to check in. Our room was not available, but they suggested we come back in a couple hours. We did, and the room was still not available. Came back at 5:30 - and hour and a half later - and there was a huge slow moving line. All the way to the door. They had 5 people at the desk, plus a supervisor. Only 3 people were actually checking people in, two were somehow involved in time share sales (I'm guessing) and the supervisor who was like walking behind the counter talking to people. Finally get to counter and the pleasant young lady goes - oh, you already have your room assigned; you didn't have to wait in line. 45 minutes later. The management in the hotel is not managing the front desk, as far as I could tell.

Clean, nice pools, staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms could use a modest upgrade, otherwise fine. We had a wonderful holiday weekend at Village at the Berkshires. The rooms were spacious enough for our family, and we enjoyed the heated indoor and outdoor pools and Jacuzzi each day. Although the resort was full, it did not seem overly crowded or noisy. You could hear little feet in the morning running up and down the stairs, but no excessive noise otherwise. I would recommend Village for families, as there is much to do and see in the local area (Jiminy Peak's Alpine Slide and Coaster were big hits!).

Comfortable suite with fireplace, beautiful indoor pool, beautiful mountain view , and even a laundry room! Bed was too small for 2 adults. It was great! We would have loved to stay longer. We will definitely stay there again !

Spacious living conditions, indoor pool. Pool could have been warmer and there were no toiletries i.e, shampoo, conditioner, and moisturizer. Overall the hotel has a great location across from Jiminy Peak - which we skied at. The indoor pool was great for the kids, but too cold for my liking. The rooms were very spacious and had a lot of amenities, fireplace, dining room table, large kitchen, balcony and large bathroom. It was odd having the tub, Jacuzzi in the bedroom.
