Needed hotel just to study for big test next day. Served its purpose, but smelled funky (moldy), had horrible decor (fake flowers, tacky paintings & trim etc), and the cable didn't work. Bathroom fan was broken too, and the door was beat up.

I made reservations for Monday 1-21-08 four days before on 1-17-08 for 1 night. I arrived at 2:30 PM on Monday 1-21-08 and was told at the front desk that I was a day late. The front desk lady was nice and went to the back room to get the owner. The owner came out and told me whoever made my reservations gave them the wrong date and my credit card had already been charged for the night before! I informed her that I was the person that made the reservations and that it was her people that had messed up the reservation. I told her I don't work on Sundays so the mistake had to be on her side. She was looking to see if they had a room for me and I asked if they had parking for my Expedition and trailer ( which was parked in front of her at the front door)after she looked at my rig she said no. I told her I would find another hotel. "She said we have a 48 hour cancellation policy and I would have to pay for the night " I told herI stay 100 nights per year in hotels and have never had a problem with parking in 20 years.( The hotel parking lot is the size of a 7/11 parking lot.) She said that's their policy. I will contest this Visa charge which I have never done before as I have never been this outraged in 20+ years of traveling

I checked into the University Inn and the check in girl was very nice and polite. I thought it would hold a preview of what I would expect. Later that night, since I didn't know the area, I thought the front desk would help me with finding out what's still open after certain hours. The gentleman that came to the desk was very rude, didn't care to help and yelled at me for even thinking they would help me with something like that. I ordered some delivery and it appears he was just as rude to the driver the following day. If you don't have to deal with the staff, at all, it's not too bad. Better make sure you know someone who knows the area.

My husband and I stayed here 1 night and thought it was great. The lady at the front desk was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and nicely decorated, comfy bed, mini fridge and microwave, good shower, nice variety on the continental breakfast. Nice location near campus, restaurants, river walk, drugstore, but still very quiet. A great value for about 65, we would stay here again.

we were their for football game for two nights when we got their girl at the front desk made us feel welcome and help us with were we had to go. when we got in our room it was so cool room with lots of extra touch. we love it. every one should go stay at this hotel.

I was going to have surgery in Eugene and we had to stay the night, When we arrived. Everything was great, got to the hotel room and we could not believe how big the rooms were! Everyone working there is so pleasantly nice! If you travel in a radius of 3 blocks there is some of the best dining in Eugene! staff was very great.
