Hotel under new management. Had wonderful stay - 6th floor room. Bed was comfortable, shower great, much better than the Ft. Wayne Marriott. I was here for 2 days and had no problems. Hotel is older but I was only here for a clean room and place to stay. Free parking and right on the bus line to the Clinic and Downtown. Don't believe everything you read here. This is not the Ritz, but for the price at a downtown motel, definitely ok.

My daughter had brain surgery and I just needed a place to clean up and try to get some rest. The price was right and close to the hospital. Its nothing fancy but they did have free wi-fi so my son could play his x-box.

Nothing. Everything, it smelled awful. This hotel is very dirty, and it smelled. The continental breakfast was toast and oranges in a room that was so dirty.

Would never go back Room dirty, paper products from previous travelers found on counter, sheets and towels paper thin, sheets wrong size for bed and kept coming off mattress, ceiling had large water stains from leaks, dust under tv,shower did not work, shower curtain ripped, .......................

downtown location about the only good thing. Staff were courteous and helpful though. Place is rundown and a bit seedy. Rooms smelled of cigarette smoke in non smoking.

Very polite staff and clean rooms. The outside appearance is not good but being renovated. Don't let the outside of this hotel deter you from staying there. It is quite nice on the inside with very friendly staff.

I dont know where to start. We had 3 rooms for 3 days. The beds were not made until after 5 pm each day The carpet was never vacuumed The sink was never cleaned. On 10 floors a total of 2 ice machines worked. The pool was filthy with dirt on the bottom and never cleaned while we were there. The fitness area had CLEAN ME written in dust on the machines. There was a full trash can next to the ice machine on my floor for the entire time that we were there. The computers in the business center were not online 2 of 3 days and when they were they were too slow to use even to check email. The area is bad and absolutely empty of action. You could not pay me to stay here again. This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had and I am not a 4 star traveler by any means.

It was a standard double room. The clock radio didn't work, and when I requested a replacement, I was told that they would put in a "work order". Suffice to say, I had to use my cell phone for an alarm. The ice bucket did not have a cover and it leaked really bad, which no one could do anything about. The pool was dirty, the water cloudy. Maybe I'm making something out of nothing, but I expected better.

We liked that the elevator could not be accessed without a room key. Location, appearance of hotel. The hotel has a lot of potential if a little money is put into renovations. Restaurant offered poor choices and neither myself or husband was pleased with food. Hotel is decent inside, but could easily be thrown off by exterior and surroundings. We were unsure if we were in a safe neighborhood.

I had no choice when I stayed here, being for medical reasons, and my room was paid for. But I agree with the other reviews it was pretty nasty place. But on the other hand, I guess it's better than sleeping in your car or lobby when you have an appointment the very next morning. For emergencies I would stay here again, but not if I have an option.

The hotel was under construction and some may be taken back by its appearance as it's a little beat up. However the lobby, restaurant, elevators and halls were all clean and safe. Our room was very clean too but again showed signs of being used. The beds were clean, bug free and still had some comfort left in them. If anything, some linens were stained but still clean. The staff was very helpful, attentive, and also very kind to deal with. I would gladly stay here again for an overnight stop. However, if I was coming for an extended weekend or longer, and funds allowed, I would look for a hotel that was in a little better condition.

Fun with bartender and nice and cleanliness. The hotel was nice and seemed to have been going through some updates. The staff was friendly, and the bartender was very helpful in telling where to go for the best nightlife. I only stayed one night, and it was perfect for that.

It was fine for the low price (didn't expect much more considering a $75 room). Outside looked sketchy (although it appeared under construction), but inside was fine. The room was comfortable and clean. No large towels in the bathroom.

Economically priced/good location. Renovations ongoing/unattractive. Staff was prompt and attentive. Good location. Exterior rather unattractive. Undergoing ownership transfer, a bit unorganized.

My experience at University Hotels and Suites was very good. I spend 20 days in the hotel and people were very friendly and helpful. Basically, I just went to sleep because I was working at Case Western Reserve. I didn't use some of the ammenities that the hotel provides like fitness center and laundry but they are available. I suggest to vary the breakfast offer to some muffins, donuts.

The interior was clean and the staff was helpful. The outside appearance of the hotel was fairly poor, with construction that looks like it hadn't been worked on in quite a while and dirty windows. The hotel was well placed in downtown Cleveland. The food was good but limited by the ethnic selections of Chinese food. The rooms were clean and comfortable if a little small. The windows and the general outside appearance of the hotel was dingy and not appealing.
