a filthy hotel with an unprecedented experience. Apart from its location near all the amenities, there is nothing to compliment on this hotel. You just have to enter the tiny rooms to be swamped but a neauseabond smell and the state of the furnitures. Mostly broken and old!! The bathroom are filthy with hair left all over the bath and often with a blocked sink. Dare to remove the pillow case to and you be amazed how dirty and yellowish pillow has turned into. Make sure you visit a dermatologist upon leaving. Not worth a penny. They are unscrupulous and oh! the breakfast, please!! A tiny portion with basic food and tasteless coffee. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to no one as there are many better ones around at a better rates.

We came to the Hotel Renoir Unic for 3 nights in February 2009 after complaining about the small dirty room that we were given at the sister Hotel Renoir just down the street (at 39 Rue de Montparnasse). Suites are off a lovely little courtyard, and we had a two level suite at the same price as the room we had been promised at the Renoir (109 euros per night) - with a double bed upstairs and a sofa bed downstairs, but only one upstairs bathroom. There were two television sets but only one remote. The bathroom had barely been cleaned. Hair was everywhere. The corners everywhere were filthy, greasy liquid covered a good part of the sink, and the heating was such that either the downstairs was quite cold or the upstairs was almost unbearably hot. The furniture was dingy. Sofabed was very worn and dirty. Although the location is excellent, I would never stay at either of these hotels again.

We were expecting a kitchenette which was not available, so felt that we had been sold the appartment under false representation. All indications of this on the website should immediately be changed.

Overall the stay was not too bad but the room was EXTREMELY small for a "standard room" and the cleanliness was not the best. We were expecting more from the pictures and description. Nicely located near a shopping mall and metro stations with some nice surrounding restaurants as well. I would not chose this hotel again in the future.

Lovely little hotel in super location in a busy little street in Montparnass with lots of restaurants, mostly creperies, but quiet at night. Staff were particularly pleasant and helpful. We will certainly be staying there again.

Very small rooms, at least the ones in the main building. Wifi outrageously expensive. Skip breakfast, not worth it. But overall not too bad.

This is a classic small Paris hotel, firmly in the 14th arrondisement (though they advertise 6th on late rooms). Still it's close to metro, easy to get anywhere in Paris, lively streets around with good selection of restaurants. The rooms/suites are round a nice courtyard, we are family with 3 kids and had the suite sleeping 5 - pretty cramped downstairs with a double sofa bed and camp bed. Basic but nice room upstairs, great bathroom, powerful shower. Acceptable breakfast, can perhaps get better for same price in several cafes round the corner. No kitchenette as advertised on Late rooms but I had seen this on another review and Late rooms were helpful in negotiating a discount because of that. However the hotel had no record of the new rate, and it was a bit of agro getting them to accept it. You dont want to pay rack rate here but go if you get a substantial discount on this site.

Why not to Book this Hotel with Late RoomsArrived 10-45pm at the Hotel. They had been advised we would be a very late arrival. They stated they had no room for us. After some length of time a Manager found us a room in another hotel after calls with Late Rooms and each blaming each other for the mistake. We had to walk at 11-30pm to another Hotel and check in there and pay Euro 50 per night extra. The Hotel showed me an email from Late Rooms the next day to show they had only booked the hotel the day I arrived when I had booked with them 2 weeks before. Would never use either of them again-ruined our weekend and neither accepted blame or compensated us in any way. A Disaster

Can walk into the city if fit and not already leg sore. Train station less then 5 minutes walk. The Montpanasse area great to explore. Nearby parking station one of the best priced. A bit of a challenge finding the first time when coming off freeway despite good instructions.

The hotel was weel presented and the rooms were well appointed and clean. They advertise that the rooms are apartment style with kitchenettes but when we arrived, management informed us they were not in use. This was a irritiation as that was a main reason for booking them. apart from that the location is good with plenty of cafes and retaurants to choose from and supermarket and laundry facilities close by.

Good value hotel in ParisNice clean hotel. Small rooms but didn't affect our experience as we were out and about in Paris most of day and night. Good sized bathroom. Very friendly and helpful staff.

reasonably priced hotel, lovely decoration for reception area very bright and clean. Reception open 24 hours which is very good, staff do their best to speak english which is very good. Room was small, had been made smaller to allocate for the lift shaft meaning thoroughout the night sometimes heard the lift. Room was msall however adequate. bathroom was lovely, very very very clean, brand new white sutie. Great location surrounded by restaurants, pubs, metro stations very close. close to major tourist sites, overall enjoyed my stay very much, would definatley stay again.

the Hotel is located in a very good location, convenient for transport, next to the Metro and very safe to stay.. Food outlet is almost everywhere just outside the hotel. The staff are very friendly and speak ENGLISH!!!. The only setback was, i book a smoking room but astry and rubbish basket was not provided. The room was clean everyday with towel change. I would strongly reccommend to others this hotel to stay.....value for money.

i stayed at the hotel and was with both my sisters and my 11 yr old son, have been to paris before and i can honestly say the hotel and location made my stay so enjoyable the reception and staff were just so friendly and helpful and spoke english, we booked a room for four and got what was more an apartment with a groundfloor sitting room with sofa bed then upstairs a double room with bathroom tv in both rooms they were warm and spotless and lots of room as i find in paris hotel rooms are tiny this was not the case it also had an enclosed outside courtyard, most of all in our lovely clean comfortable beds we slept very well as their was no noise it was very quite, its location is fantastic lots of restaurants and creperies and metro edgar quinet on the door step, stay in this hotel its lovely they also kept our bags for the day as we had an evening flight, i got robbed in paris 600 euro in my wallet from my bag in montmartre, it was terrible but great comfort was found in returning to my hotel where they were so lovely, stay here and remember spread your money around your body i always do every time, and on this day i was distracted and did not do it was the first time i was ever robbed but still love paris

We believe that we can find better hotels in Paris paying the same fee per day

This hotel was easily accessible and perfectly amenable. It suited our purpose perfectly. The hotel staff were very accommodating when we had a friend join us in Paris at the last minute - by putting an extra bed in the room.

Overall, good value for money in Paris. Ideally situated for Montparnasse railway station, restaurants and bars. Downside - Air conditioning didn't work and the room was very small.

Beautiful - A real gem - This was a lovely room overlooking a court yard which when returning to the room was filled with couples sat outside drinking wine. Two large french windows looked down on the mews and we slept with the windows open all night. The wall surrounding though large where ancient and some how full of character as was the surrounding area and restaurants. I found this place faultless other than NO tea or coffee making facilities which apparently is a new law throughout paris!?! Sounded convincing! Would stay here again and would recommend to anyone.
