great location, 3 miles from the Accademia, or the Uffizi & Ponte Vecchio. 2 miles the Duomo. 1/2 mile from the Train station. Several good resterants, internet cafe's, & laundry's in walking distance. Great Breakfast, eggs, ham, sausage, fruit, cereal. The Desk clerk was friendly and very helpful.

Semi-suite room was OK but bizarrely laid out with a column in the middle of it! Smell of sewage downstairs for 3 days (reportedly an occasional local problem

I had already stayed at the Unicorno a few years earlier at a time when the street outside was under repair and the whole area therefore in a bit of a mess. Neverthless, I found the hotel pleasant and the service willing and welcoming. This latest stay was one night only. I found the hotel had been renovated and considerably smartened. The service was if anything more friendly and accommodating, and now that Via dei Fossi is repaired, the guest can enjoy the benefit of the location with its fascinating antique shops. I hope to return soon.

Fine giving the good location in Florence, however the rooms were fusty / smelly

I really enjoyed the Unicorno. It had a real bathtub. The only drawback was the noise, but that is primarily because of its location on a main street with a bridge across the Arno. If you are prepared to listen to the motorinos until all hours on a Saturday night, you should enjoy the hotel. Breakfast included scrambled eggs. I would stay there again with no qualms.

The garage on the other side of the street, not connected with the hotel but unique near to the hotel, was extraordinary in prize (48 € for two nights!) and unabel to deliver my car on the agreed time (we waited 40 minutes!). So noise in Firenze (we like to sleep with open windows) and this garage were problems. All other OK.

I have stayed in a single room at the Hotel Unicorno before and enjoyed it, but the value of the quad room for me and my daughter's family was an added plue.

Good location. A bit noisy on street and must keep windows closed at night. Very good breakfast in pleasant breakfast room. Good restaurants, reasonably priced nearby

Staff could not have been nicer, very helpful, informative, and considerate. Directions to hotel were a little confusing, but locals helped out. Rooms were kept very clean, breakfast was just okay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Unicorno. The staff were friendly, helpful, welcoming and efficient. The rooms were pleasant, with good facilities. Breakfast was a little 'basic', and could have been of better quality. In terms of value for money I would say the Unicorno was expensive, but in line with other hotels we have stayed in in Italy. We would recommend the Unicorno unhesitatingly.
