This was my fourth time in India and in Jaipur and I have stayed in a lot of hotels in Jaipur. The Umaid Mahal is my absolute favorite in this price category! The rooms all have a different character, the bed is comfortable, the air conditioning works and does not blow on the bed directly, the bathroom is functional and everything is clean. The staff is really nice and the two computers with internet connection really do have the fastest and best internet connection I have experienced in India. All in all a great experience and I will stay in this hotel again on my next visit to this amazing, beautiful Jaipur.

I am an Indian and have stayed in many European and Indian hotels. This hotel is an old King's lodge, it is good in terms of cleanliness only. However, there are several things that far outweigh its advantages. First, apart from the hotel manager, the customer interaction with the attendants working here (cannot blame since they speak in a typical Indian way). One of them was very rude when I was demanding a balance cash while I was checking out early in the morning at 3 (although I had informed earlier). The breakfast is very bad with dry bread, juice and potatoes like a youth hostel, although they say it is American. From the point of view of facilities like pool, they are OK, not to forget this hotel is quite expensive. I would neither recommend nor criticize it. Jaipur is very hot in summer. For people who would like to enjoy, there are various other hotels which are better.

This is an excellent hotel to stay in. The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff are efficient and helpful. There is a bar with a very good restaurant. The hotel even has a small swimming pool. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful and well kept hotel. The staff is very helpful. They have a very nice roof terrace. The place is simply beautiful; it is one of the best value for money options you can find in India. I will definitely stay there again!

Its a small hotel in the middle of the city, 10 minutes away from the shopping district. Food is average and unfortunately not many food joints are within walking distance.

A quiet, clean boutique hotel, in a quiet area-sometimes difficult to get a cab or tuk-tuk because its a quiet residential street, but can walk to main road in 2 minutes. Lovely roof-top cafe for breakfast. First room they showed me was NOt Royal, deluxe room. Then they gave me what i paid for- 4 poster bed, with balcony. little dressing room and bathroom, security safe- great shower, insist on new towels if you don't like the look of the ones there. Friendly, helpful staff-very slow internet, not a secure sight.
