| I am an Indian and have stayed in many European and Indian hotels.
This hotel is an old King's lodge, it is good in terms of cleanliness only. However, there are several things that far outweigh its advantages. First, apart from the hotel manager, the customer interaction with the attendants working here (cannot blame since they speak in a typical Indian way). One of them was very rude when I was demanding a balance cash while I was checking out early in the morning at 3 (although I had informed earlier). The breakfast is very bad with dry bread, juice and potatoes like a youth hostel, although they say it is American. From the point of view of facilities like pool, they are OK, not to forget this hotel is quite expensive.
I would neither recommend nor criticize it. Jaipur is very hot in summer. For people who would like to enjoy, there are various other hotels which are better. |

| This was my fourth time in India and in Jaipur and I have stayed in a lot of hotels in Jaipur. The Umaid Mahal is my absolute favorite in this price category! The rooms all have a different character, the bed is comfortable, the air conditioning works and does not blow on the bed directly, the bathroom is functional and everything is clean. The staff is really nice and the two computers with internet connection really do have the fastest and best internet connection I have experienced in India.
All in all a great experience and I will stay in this hotel again on my next visit to this amazing, beautiful Jaipur. |

| I stayed this hotel with my parents in Dec 07. Triple room in this hotel means the twin room with an extra bed. The hotel is quite new and cleanly maintained (This is not the actual heritage hotel). Restaurant is available on roof top with nice food and atomosphare, although it was a little cold at evening time in Dec. A window AC and electric heater is available in the room. I feel it's ok hotel. |
