The Uhu Villa is a nice place. It's a little far from the center of town and a little farther from the closest tram stop than they imply. We were very disappointed to hear at check-in that they would not be serving lunch or dinner. The remoteness would have been easier if there was a meal when you got back to the hotel... But it was quiet and had a very nice view.

Very pleasant and forestry location. 15 dollar taxi ride from the Subway, 22 dollars to the train station. Excellent hotel, but way far from the central area of Budapest, requiring expensive taxi rides.

We went to Budapest on July 5th, UHU VILLA BUDAPEST is an excellent place to take a rest a little bit outside of the city into the forest. The hotel is very nice and the personel was very kind Best regards

It was like an excellent B & B with charm and friendliness. The location was a bit inconvenient to the center of Budapest. I give this very high marks with considerable charm, friendliness, and a homey atmosphere. Upscale but not pretentious in a setting of trees and seclusion. Highly recommended unless you want immediate access to the downtown though it is available by tram at little cost.

While surprised to find this charming Villa 1/4 mile up a steep Buda hilltop while holding my cane, the staff helped me 1000% in making us feel like royalty. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed, but the morning breakfast was a wonderful treat. We did not want to leave...and will recommend the Uhu always.
