i feel sick just thinking about this hotel - what a dump. The room which i was given was very musty and damp. the smell in the room was disgusting. The sheets on the bed were dirty and full of hairs. I told this to reception and they didn't seem one bit bothered by it. They didn't even apologize. It seemed as if they were well used to complaints. i was given another room -but it was just as bad. Really smelly and musty, dirty carpet. As it was very late when i arrived at the hotel and as i was traveling on my own, I had to stay there. The next morning i felt so sick from the smell and my throat was full of phlegm from the bad air that surrounded the room. I would not recommend this hotel. I will never stay there again.

We thought it was owned by the Mafia and was being used just for money laundering reasons, but the staff was ok and I suppose other than the feeling of being in the "Shining II" it wasn't all that bad. There are two parts to this hotel; one built in the 60's or so and a newer (90's) portion. If you do book here try to get into the newer portion. Maybe you'll have a better stay.

The noise from the central heating system adjacent to my room (203) was a loud chattering for most of the night . It pevented me gatting any sleep untill 01.30 approx. I informed the hotel on my morning checkout. It really spoilt my nights sleep.

The hotel needs refurbishment, everything could do with a good spruce up especially the beds, was very old and squeaky, not very comfortable. Other than that for a quick stop over on the way from shannon airport it was alright but wouldn't stay for longer.

Having booked a double room we were given a room with 3 single beds...a little dissapointing.

We have stayed at two mile 3 times 1st time 2004, 2nd 2006,3rd time June 2009. In 2004 it was a nice hotel clean well and kept, in 2006 a little more wear and tear. In June 2009 leaking ceilings, wet rugs from those leaks, it has really gone downhill, They seem to be doing VERY little maintenance and it shows! If you have mold allergies this is not the place for you.... Thady's pub was ok, the food was ok sometimes overcooked and light on the amounts for a high hotel price! We picked this hotel for its location and how nice it was in the past, but I am sorry to say we will NOT be staying there again! The staff was nice.

Helpful & pleasant staff... room pretty quiet considering a Debs band was playing in the function room. Easy to find on the gps, easy parking. Easy to book the night before for one night. Also useful was the wireless internet in the lounge area.

Ours was a quick stop overnight and it was adequate, clean and relatively quiet. There's plenty of free parking, which is handy these days. The breakfast was great. Had a minor problem with the settling of the bill, but was sorted without any problems.

this was our first stop. was very surprised when the taxi pulled up. was not the pix on the internet. very long walk to room and it was cold. very quiet though, so we got the much needed rest after a long flight.

when staying in this hotel i was woken up early to a continuing banging noise which i assumed was the heating coming on, i found this very annoying, my parents who were staying down the hall also were woken by this noise, i found that unnacceptable and would probably hamper my intention to stay there again. Also the rooms and the hotel whilst clean could certainly do with some updating and refurbishment works.

massive motel showing signs of age but handy for shannon airport. Room a bit tatty and tea/coffee in room means only one tea bag and one milk sachet. OK if you need somewhere next to Shannon for a night but must be better elseware.

I was late arriving at the hotel because of a rugby match, and it was a joy to find friendly staff and a quiet bar to relax. Although we had a choice of bars. we chose the quiet one because we were meeting up with friends. the room was spacious and not stuffy as most hotels are. the breakfast was plentiful and the staff could not be more helpful. I have reason to be in Limerick regular over the next twelve months and i will be booking this hotel for all above reasons and value for money.

Great value for the price and the room had full size coffee cups-what a joy. Down sides heating could not be turned off, neither the towel rails nor out in the corridor, so hotel and our room ridiculously hot and overbearingly stuffy. Middle of summer too. Strange clicking sound present in room 24/7.

Good location for Shannon airport on main Ennis to Limerick Road. The hotel is a little dated but for 49 Euro a night was clean and tidy, Sights problems with noisy heating and non functioning clocks as per other reviews but reception offered to move us as soon as we made them aware. I discovered that turning down the radiator valve slighty stopped the noise so we chose to stay in the allocated room. Food in Thady O'Neils next door is good and the manageress and the staff where very pleasent and friendly. We ate there for the 3 nights of our stay we enjoyed it that much.

The staff were extremely courteous and helpful. We had a problem with noise coming from the heating system in the first room allocated to us. We informed Reception and they immediately moved us to a new room without any fuss. At €49 for a double room, it was extremely good value for money.
