From the airport take R-132 road, then M50 motorway Northbound. Take Blanchardstown Castleknock exit off the M50 and then 3rd exit on the M50 roundabout. Head towards Blanchardstown roundabout and take first exit towards Blanchardstown Village and them immediate left, drive around 200 meters and Twelfth Lock Hotel with its car park will be on your right hand side.

Twelfth Lock HotelStaff very friendly and approachable. Food is of excellent quality. Rooms very clean and tidy, would definatly stay again.

A novel experience.My brother and I stayed an additional night here to see more of a rainstruck Dublin - rather than immediately start our 1600 mile motor tour of southern Ireland.The hotel staff were challenged by our problems on more than one occasion - and they all responded brilliantly. We had problems dealing with the room safes and twice had a get help - both late at night as well as early one morning. The staff's willingness, good humour and generosity made all the difference to our morale - despite the lousy weather - enabling us to leave Dublin on a cheerful, optimistic note. Although the hotel is well outside Dublin the novelty here is not only is is a canalside hotel, it is handily a railway trackside one too. To reach the city you just walk to the station 3 minutes away and you can be in O'Connell Street within 45 minutes or less via the tram service.

BAd points first before the praise...What is not said is that the rooms are under the bar. There is no noise (music voices) from the bar but there is a noise of scrapping chairs until about 2am. Not enough to put me off staying again thoough. Oh yes... and there is a railway running about 12 feet from the window. The view out of my window was of a wall and just above that was a high speed railway line. Again not bad enough to stop me staying again as the trains stopped about 11:30 and gave me a nice wakeup at 06:30. rooms on the canal side will be much better. Very clean good sized rooms with mini bar.Tea and coffee. Hot water works!Good food very attentive and cheerfull waiters and staff. I spent the last night in the bar reading a book. I like the place!Breakfast was slow but pretty much perfect in terms of cooking, unlike so many hotels. large menu seemed to be cooked fresh.Would be fantastic in the summer with the canal boats outside and good access to the Motorway.
