Overall the experience was fine although the beds were extremely soft and uncomfortable..A long walk uphill from in town to get to the resort.. Otherwise great place to stay

It is secluded and has beautiful views. We also enjoyed the pool. It did not have their own BBQ stove. My second time that we stayed at this place and we will probably come back again.

Here is the list of complaints which we compiled. Let me point out that the staff were very friendly and as helpful as they could be, however.... 1) The cleanliness of the room was very poor.! The bathroom wall had some splatter and streaks. 2) The sofa was so threadbare the stuffing was coming out. 3) The kitchenette was poorly equipped to make breakfast for any more than 2 people. The coffee perk was a small 4 cup, the toaster held only 2 pieces of bread, and the frying pan was also miniature. In a condo that was advertised to sleep 8, these kitchen appliances were clearly unsuitable. 4) The kitchen included an egg flipper with no handle. 5) We could not turn on the TV the first night as we had not been told the "secret" code to turn it on. 6) On the first night there were no towels in the hot tub although we had called the front desk before going to confirm. 7) The heating system must have been right beside the bedroom and was unbelievably loud. 8) The bedroom which was at the front of the condo, only a few feet from the parking, became polluted with vehicle exhaust when vehicles outside were left running for 15 minutes (not ours).

We had a delightful stay in a one bedroom unit at Tunnel Mountain Resort. The extra room that the unit gave verses an executive suite was great. The room was clean and comfortable. It was very convenient to downtown. You could book extra activities at the front desk. There was a regular bus service that went by the resort if you didn't want to drive down the mountain. For the price we found on Travel agent it was a steal of a deal for the Banff area. I would stay here again.

I liked the geographical location of the hotel, far enough from the city, but close enough to visit. There was some obvious general upkeep required of the room, ceiling work, plastering - but did not affect my enjoyment of the stay. Tunnel Mountain was perfect for the needs of my stay. It was far enough from downtown Banff that there was still a rustic feel - but it is on a slightly busy roadway, and the positioning of my suite was inconvenient, but did not ruin my stay. Next time I will request a room on the other side of the property away from the road. There is a fantastic view of mountains from any angle, and the fireplace in the unit was a nice bonus. There was obvious upkeep needed to the room - the door to the balcony stuck, and there was some plaster damage on the ceiling in the front bedroom - but nothing that ruined the enjoyment of my trip. The flat screen TV was also a nice bonus. A lot of room and open feeling with the added loft bedroom. I would definitely stay again.

I love Banff. We live in Calgary and having somewhere to go that is so peaceful and beautiful is wonderful. We booked this weekend based on the sale thru online travel website . Enjoyed our stay and would recommend this for anyone. Thinking of making it an annual trip.

We stayed for a week and really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The hotel was at the center of everything we wanted to see and do. It was nice to come back to the hotel every evening to relax in the pool and hot tub. There are no dining facilities on the premises but our room was the two bedroom loft with kitchen facilities (which was very well stocked with supplies). There is a grocery store right across the street if you would like to stock up with food for an extended stay. We highly recommend this hotel.

The resort is a little dated but well mentained. Clean rooms, new furniture and it even had a fire place.

We stayed here two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The room was excellent and we enjoyed the facilities. The shuttle into town stops at the hotel so no need to drive and look for parking. The kids loved the hotel and our view was awesome. Would definately stay here again.

Fabulous, clean comfortable executive rooms with parking right by our door. The only disappointment was that the whirlpool didn't work in our bathroom. We stayed 2 nights and it still wasn't fixed when we left and no explanation was given when we asked both days.

my wife and i stayed here four days. first day refrigerator wasn't working . it was replaced within 24 hrs. room and bathroom clean . met our needs.

Where do I startt. This hotel was rundown. The outside was chipping. they tried some renovations inside but they were very poorly done. The housekeeping was terrible. We had to keep asking for soap and toilet paper that we had run out of. They did not notice themselves. They were supposed to clean everything every 3 days if you stayed longer than 5 days. We were there for 8 nights and I finally had to ask them to vacumn because it was never done. They never cleanied the bathrooms. We did get clean towels, We had trouble with the sliding door to the balcony,(it didn't slide) the screen fell out. the oven did not work. It took 3 days and 3 phone calls to have a light fixed on the stairwell to the loft. There was only 1 llight in the the bedroom and it reallly needed more. Only 4 hangers for 2 people. The kitchen was terrible. One ratty skillet and 2 pots and a teakettl;e that I would not let my dog drink water out of, I would not reccommend this place for any money.
