The Dutch are not used to offer service. This hotel is an absolute p.i.t.a. Unless there is something better, do not stay here. Unless, of course, the only purpose of your visit is to blow. In that case the size of your shower, and bedroom, will hardly matter.

The price is a little high, although most were in the city center. The hotel was one of the nicest in the area. Be aware that only the more costly rooms have air conditioning. When location is key, this hotel excels...

The single room was tiny, but did the job. If your in Amsterdam for the coffee shops... as i was, it has a great location period. The room was a closet and the tv hardly worked, its service would just go out for no reason.

The hotel is very clean and is really close to everything. Walking distance from the train and from restaurants, bars, etc. Excellent for younger and older travelers alike.

A nice hotel, very good location although it feels a bit close to the more "dangerous areas". If I go to Amsterdam in the future I will probably choose a hotel more away from the central parts of the city. It is overall a very nice hotel, but they charge €15 for breakfast so I really recommend to buy your breakfast outside instead. There are some really nice places just 5 minutes away. If you stay here, make sure to get a room with windows away from the big street. We had rooms with windows to the smaller street behind the hotel and it was very quite.

The bathroom had about 5 inches to squeeze between the sink and the shower in order to get to the toilet. Most Americans would not be able to fit!

The room was so small that the door slammed into the closet upon opening it. With a couple, it is physically impossible to walk in the room and not touch each other. The front desk staff was extremely rude, we noticed one family prematurely terminating their stay because of the size of the room and the service. If there had been availablility in another hotel we would have done the same. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel is in the very center of Amsterdam: perfect location. Room "Star" (=Deluxe) is quite small and the bathroom is ... special => only window (door too), so very low privacy : especially for couples! Conclusion : good hotel, price a bit high... you may find better deals .

We had a problem with our booking as it wasn't made clear that we had chosen a non refundable/changeable booking. When I sent copies of the confirmation emails to the hotel, the staff there were very good and offered a refund and admitted this was a problem with the Venere website. Other than that, the hotel was ok for a short stay but rooms are v small and breakfast at 15 Eur is expensive. The location is excellent though.

The room itself was clean and comfortable. I thought it was stingy to have to pay an extra 15 euro each for breakfast, and to charge 6euro an hour for internet. very stingy. the staff though were very helpful and friendly.
