The Tryp Munich was a nice hotel. The staff was the most helpful of any on our vacation. The provided maps and lots of good local travel hints. It was a bit far from central Munich...a 7 dollar cab ride from the main train station. The room was big and very clean. The bathroom was nice and big and modern compared to some others we had stayed at in Europe.

ok hotelNear the mainstation. 10 min walk. 15 min to walk to the shopping streets of Munich.Quiet, clean hotelroom. Good breakfast buffet. No complaints about the service and the hotel. Near Theresienwiese for people visiting the Oktober fest.

Close to main rail station, nice rooms, felt safe. Features/amenities said continental breakfast and there is not one included. This hotel had nice rooms, large bathroom, restaurant, exercise room and was 3 blocks from main train station. Staff was efficient and large tour groups frequent this hotel. Good for travelers wanting nicer rooms and it felt safe. Continental breakfast was listed in features but was not available or included. I told reception that they needed to update this as it seemed the breakfast was included, and did not say breakfast extra.

Carpet was threadbare and the decor was very worn. Stains on curtains. We used the hotel safety deposit box. The last night they couldn't find my form for my box so they just gave me the master key. They let me empty the box without having me sign anything. This did not make me feel secure. Breakfast buffet was okay. No other restaurants close by - everything was about a 10-15 minute walk. No air conditioning, but a fan was provided. TV Remote buttons were so worn you couldn't read them.

Great Place, Convenient LocationThis hotel was fantastically clean and I absoutely loved the sauna. They had a restaurant attached which served wonderful food. It is located very close to the train station and the service at the front desk was relatively good. The rooms were a very small, but overall it was a good deal.

The staff was nice and helpful. The hotel was dirty, the rooms were shabby and outdated. A2 star hotel listed as a 4 star hotel.

roomsRooms were very clean and of a great standard and our beds and bathroom etc were serviced every day, very central location, staff very helpful and friendly even giving directions and map etc. Just 300 metres from subway station which was excellent and the best way to get to all the sites and shopping areas.lots of little cafes and bars nearby which were excellent and several shops which stocked just about anything, felt very safe no matter what time of the night or day we were out and about, would definately stay here again.

You can't beat the perks of this hotel for the price. The parking deck was hard for us to get in and out of. We loved staying here. The staff was exceptional for helping us get around. I would recommend this hotel for anybody traveling abroad.

Good central hotel.Centrally located in Munchen, this is ideal for anyone wanting access to the excellent transport system for both Munchen & the surrounding areas. The main train station is only 5-10 minutes away but there is an underground station 2 minutes round the corner which will take you there. Our room was reasonably big with a good sized toilet/bathroom. Staff are friendly & welcoming. Rooms well maintained. Air conditioning would be welcomed though. This is our second stay here & if we ever have to return to Munchen we would alwasy try here first as it suits al our needs. Recomended.

I chose this hotel because of relatively positive reviews and location. I feel that this hotel is excellent, a good value. Everything about the stay was positive. Location is about two blocks from the train station, which is nice. The surrounding neighborhood seems safe to me. The breakfast, although an additional fee, was probably the best breakfast I had in my European vacation. It's just really crowded in the restaurant some mornings.

Room was very hot. We stayed in a room on 5th floor on the Paul Heyse side. Noisy (traffic) especially if you open a window (no airco, just a fan in room). Otherwise room and hotel very nice.
