Great shuttle service - convient for aiport staysWe stayed at this hotel because of the free airport shuttle that operates around the clock. We had an early Saturday morning flight. The shuttle from the hotel to the airport operates frequently and only takes about 5 minutes to arrive at the airport. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The room appeared to have been recently remodelled. The exterior and common areas are somewhat dated. The pool is closed with stagnant water. The hotel is located in a residential area at the end of a metro line. It is about 30 minutes on the metro to downtown. There is a small grocery store and a few restaurants close to the hotel. There are likely many better choices for a visit to downtown Madrid, but for a hotel close to the airport, this is a great value.

Shaving kits and dental kits are available free at the front desk. We've stayed several times at this hotel, near the airport. Most of the rooms have been nicely updated.

Tryp Diana hotel madred is a good hotel yet a little old, but convenient for one or two day stay by far.

this is far away of a 3 or 4 stars hotel, carpet is dirty and frayed, the room was very dirty and smelled awful. The fridge was noisy and oxidized and no minibar we had to disconetc it from the electric breakers. Noisy room. The toilet was with garbage of the previous clients! Everything is old and with terrible maintenance. Bad service, when we claimed for all this, in reception they argued that they were repairing the hotel and we had to suffer it. Please keep yourself far of this awful experience, run away and escape of this hotel option!!

The Hotel's only redeeming feature was its close proximity to the airport and the 24 hour free shuttle bus service. This is definatley not a four star hotel. The decor is very dated. The room facilities are basic and the beds aren't that comfortable.

The Tryp Diana hotel seemed to be more family oriented than for Business. The internet service was expensive. The rooms and Halls in the Hotel could definitely use some updating. The Hotel Lobby and resturant areas were more updated than the rooms.

As advertised, an excellent value and exceptional hotel with free, every 20-minute shuttle bus service only ten minutes to the Madrid airport.

"Hotel was run down with worn carpets; room was dirty with hairs and stains; no minibar; no wifi internet nor option to connect laptop, only a hotel pc for 3 euro per hour; drain in bathtub was blocked; in-room safe did not work (key missing); very noisy room."

We stayed one night in May 08. The hotel is about 10 minute walk from the Osuna Metro station. Takes 30 minutes by Metro to the City. The 24 hour free shuttle to the hotel is extremely useful if the flight is very early or very late. All in all our stay was good

Tryp diana hotel need some seious remodeling, bed hard as a rock, furnitures inside room date from the seventies very old, shower door is damaged as well as the wood lining the room.If this hotel is 4 stars 2 stars hotel is a car grage?.I would not recomend this hotel to any one,it was by far the worst hotel I have been. Madrid is a beautifull city and I would go back their to a different hotel.

Our experience at Tryp Diana was disappointing; it's difficult to find if you're driving; the printed information in the hotel room is inaccurate both in terms of simple things like pizza delivery and airport information; grounds are neglected and the pool is in great need of repair.

Convenient for the airport (you have to phone for shuttle on arrival and wait at the special hotel bus collection area) and did not have breakfast so cannot rate food. Despite late arrival was picked up within 15 minutes and 5 minute journey to hotel. Room was a bit dated looking but bedding was clean and was ok for a 1 night stay at airport. Would not use for any other reason.

The hotel provided a free shuttle service to the airport which was convinent for an early morning flight. The hotel was also a few block walk from a subway stop that brought you in Madrid's center. The room was clean and recently remodeled.

They said the pool was closed because of the time of year, when in fact the water in the pool was green and had obviously not been changed for years.... The hotel was very dirty and old and not worthy of 3 stars let alone4.

This hotel was perfect for our needs. The location to the airport was the best. They have transportation to and from. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel also had many choices of restaurants - non outside of hotel.

There was no internet access except via your phone which would have been OK if I'd had the correct wires! Bathrooms basic. Hotel restaurant would not sell wine by the glass! Although they did in the bar, strange. Generally rather shabby as it is undergoing renovation. Staff friendly. Very close to Barajas Airport (5 mins) and about 15 mins by car to Ifema expo centre. In a residential area so nothing going on except in the hotel. Swimming pool advertised but was closed! Disappointing but OK for a stop over rather than going into the city centre.

The Tryp Diana is not in the center of Madrid but by taking the subway at the near by, brand new station of "Alameda de Osuna", you get to the center of Madrid in no time. Cost: 1 Euro. The hotel itself is very modern with brand new rooms, bathrooms and furniture. It has a cafeteria open 24 hours, prices are a bit steep (3 Euro for a "one slice" ham and cheese sandwich) but convenient. Also there are three or four little restaurants in the premises with good homemade Spanish food that open in the afternoon, and like any other place in Spain, are always full of people doing their "tapas". The neighborhood where it is located is very residential, quiet and safe. If you are looking for a hotel in Madrid, with free shuttle to the airport and accessible to central Madrid without paying exhorbitant prices, this is a great choice. Although you should see if they have softer matress. Mine was extremely hard, good enough for one night but not more.

It is not as expensive as being in the center of Madrid but you can get there very easily using the metro. Quiet simple residential neighborhood good for strolling in the afternoons. Nice privately owned places to eat in hotel premises. Ask for a softer matress if they have one.

The problem we had was with a few things in our room. The bed was actually too hard, not firm as found in most hotels we have visited. The shower head fell apart in my hands which ended an anticipated shower in the morning. The thermostat did not work properly resulting in the room being quite hot. The other things seemed to be OK.
