Close to the port and shopping areas. Walking distance. Very nice rooms and in house breakfast and bar area. Restaurant and bar connected next door. Great maid service and room layout. Cab station at the corner.

Reservation was made very easy and so was the first payment. The hotel is clean, nice and the service was very friendly. The hotel is located right off center of the city, which is very comfortable. About 10 minutes walk from the main shopping street "La Rambla". There is a subway station right next to it and it very accessible by public tansport. If you have a car - you have a parking problem. this is a general comment for anywhere in Barcelona (and other main cities in north/east of Spain)

This was just a 1-night stay before going on cruise, and was very pleased with the location, room quality and value. Turns out this was one of the hotels that NCL books for passengers (but at a higher price, although theirs included transfer to ship.) Metro station right outside entrance was very handy, and walk to Las Ramblas was less than 10 minutes. Rooms were large enough for our oversize bags, bathroom was clean (but no 110 outlet). Our AC was adequate, but the kid's room AC was working exceptionally well. I would guess that rooms that front the boulevard might be noisy, but we didn't hear a sound (possibly due to jet lag!) Sunday departure was a little chaotic with the cruisers leaving, too, but nothing to complain about. Hotel seems primarily geared toward business travellers, but suited our family's needs just fine. And they gave us an excellent recommendation for a tapas restaurant for dinner!

Value for money!Excellent value for money, staff extremely polite and helpful, breakfast excellent. Bathrooms need updating a bit but still good and clean. Nice and quiet yet still within walking distance of La Rambla and the port. Will certainly be visiting again, just love Barcelona>

Following a cruise this room seemed a bit small but was adequate. concierge services were good but varied according to staff on duty. Hotel is conveniently located for cable car to Montjuic, Nou La Rambla, airport. Beware of taxi drivers who were not all honest. Bellmen were helpful when called upon. Convenient to public transportation.

Pleasent StayWe got pretty much what we expected for the money. A modern clean reasonably spacious room. Having a kettle was nice. The cleaners forget to leave towels once but this was sorted quickly

Very comfortable and convient to the cruise docks...22 Euro taxi ride include 4 pieces of luggage and 10% tip. We arrived at the Tyrp Apolo at 0900 (ship docked at 0700) with a posted 1300 check in time, front desk worked with house keeping and had us in a room by 1000! Metro station a short block away.

This is a good location for downtown exploring and only a 10 minute taxi ride to the cruise ports. This worked out well for us. The only problem was the taxi rates which varied greatly during our visit.

Three nights in BarcaHotel very satisfactory. Close to places of interest in city centre and Montjuic. Only reservation was street noise, primarily due to ambulance sirens going to hospital in vicinity. Breakfast very good. Hotel was very clean and staff very helpful.

For the price, the room was a good size, and both the room and bathroom were kept neat and clean. I stayed on the 6th floor of the hotel, the view of the city was beautiful and I had no noise problems at all. Around the corner from the hotel is the Metro stop Parallel, and it really is just a 5 minute walk from the famous 'Las Ramblas', so it is in a good location for getting around. The walk from the hotel to Las Ramblas may seem a little scary at night, but you are generally safe as there are numerous policia cars around. At the south end of Las Ramblas you can find a tourist center. (Buy the Barcelona Card for a deal on public transport and discounts to museums and some other attractions). Also, if you're hungry, all you have to do is cross the street and there are lines of restaurants/cafes that serve food well past midnight. Oh yes, and the staff does speak English.
