Chairman's tower very nice. Spacious rooms. Fridge a bonus. Beach dirty - and uninviting. Other boardwalk hotels did better.
Date of Stay:

Convenience, view, room service, and location. No floor plans available kept getting lost in casino. Decor of hotel and room arrangements were great. Restaurant food was ok but overpriced service was slow. However, the buffet food was great and probably reasonable at $25. Convenient shops, access to boardwalk, and other casinoes were wonderful. View was fantastic.

Very luxurious, everything you need under one roof.

This facility is an add-on to the Taj tower. It is new. We took a water-view room. The room is spacious and has 2 queen beds - most rooms of this type in AC will have 2 doubles, so this is a +. There is complimentary coffee, a frig and a small wall-safe. The bathroom is spacious with 2 sinks, a vanity, a shower and a toilet in a separate room. Service was fine - the room was neat & clean. We paid $ a night (off-season), but comparatively, this is an excellent value for what we received. Also the rooms are laid out in a quad - there are 4 rooms to each corner of the tower and it looked like one suite in between corners. This has a nicer feel to it than the usual long corridor lined with doors. We did pay $ for 2 nights of WiFi, Drawbacks - you will have to walk a lot if you stay in this tower - seniors and handicapped beware! To get to the Taj casino & facilities you have to use an enclosed connecting walkway - maybe 30 yards long. You also have to flash your key to security guards to gain access. Also, the bathroom is designed so that someone can be in the toilet while another person showers or uses the sink, but the shower is only frosted on 1 of its 2 sides, so it's only partially practical.

We were treated by all the staff with kindness and they were very helpful....we were told the Hot tub had a spa charge and when I called the front desk manager and explained the only reason we had booked this hotel was because it had a hot tub listed on the eminities from a travel resource, so they let us use the spa for two days for free....great time, excellent location, try to utilize the shuttle buses for 2.00, will save you money......also this casino was more luxurious and profitable then any others and we did them all.....did not use any eating facilities on this property, but they looked great and were packed with people so they must be good!! Clean bathrooms and great service, I would recommend and also stay there again.....YES!!

The room was fantastic - with a great view of the ocean, boardwalk and the pier. Hotel employees were friendly, helpful, courteous and generally just great. The bathroom was exceptional. It was so quiet in the tower you would never have guessed there was a casino and so much other activity elsewhere in the hotel.

The design of the room was fantastic and it overlooked the ocean! The service was great and the restaurants in the hotel served incredible food. I had a great time at the Taj Mahal.

The hotel and casino themselves were nice enough, but the service was horrible in almost all aspects. The utter disinterest of the employees, combined with the pestering by time-share salespeople, made our stay quite forgettable.

Visited there this weekend for the Casino. From the garage entrance to the buffet lunch (in the convention area) all I could think of was "get me out of here". The garage entrance is like some supermarkets delivery entrance. Not inviting at all. Blank walls, no landscaping, more like a prison. Inside it's dark and dank, and just plain disgusting. Dirty floors and walls everywhere, and poor lighting. The elevator landings the same. The casino floor was shabby. The rug looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks; the air was stale and dank. The buffet luncheon was poor. Food had been sitting out far too long; most of it was mushy and greasy. Again the rug needed to be seriously cleaned or just plain replaced. The tables were slimy. The chairs needed re-painting; or at least washed down! We left and went to Resorts next door and the difference was incredible; the air was fresh; the rugs clean and there were a lot more people. (wonder why...). Never never will come back to the TAJ.

The hotel was nice and service was very good. The location on the boardwalk, however, was not very desirable. The beach literally smelled and the area around the hotel was not as nice as the area near Bally's, Caesar's, & the Trump Plaza. I wish I'd tried one of those hotels. In addition, our room overlooked a parking lot with spotlights on the hotel. Unless the curtains were drawn tightly over the windows, the spotlights shined into the room. That was so disappointing! While the room was comfortable, the view was deplorable.

I stayed at the chairman towers at the TAJ, ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. I did not want to leave, definitely the best hotel in Atlantic City, and I've been to most of them. Would definitely recommend this hotel to people who like a little class in their lives.

Check-in and check-out were fine, and the room was okay - a little shabbier than before, and the staff was fine. But, the dining experiences were way down from what I had experienced on earlier visits. There was really no decent, comfortable place to eat breakfast or lunch, and what you did get was barely passable. The astronomical prices they charged for dinner, which was more that they had ever charged, while the quality of the food was much poorer. If you can't get a decent meal at any price, then why bother. Oh yes, they put a new television in the room. There were hardly any channels that came in clear, and when they were clear the images reminded me of the crazy mirrors at the fun house - all distorted. A call to facilites, and a visit by them, did not improve anything. And they're building a new tower - what for?

Stayed at the hotel for a small vacation. The casino was great in a great location on the boardwalk and the rooms were spacious

i stayed in the new chairman suite. they did a top notch job. if your staying more then one day, get a chairman suite. the bed, the giant flat screens, and the spa tub make it all worth it. skip the buffet, the steak house was just ok.

I would recommend Trump Taj Mahal, to anyone that would like to find a great place to stay, Everyone was so very nice to us.. The maid was exceptional, the room was spottless, which I was a Housekeeper Manager for quite awhile, and surely could rank her cleaning as a 5 or above.. I loved the room, on 14th floor. and can't wait to make another vacation there on my next visit.. Everyone I met while there was so very friendly the other guest was so nice to us also. Met alot of nice people while there. My friend enjoyed the Boardwalk for shopping while there also. I enjoyed the new Penny Machines also, never thought I would see them in Atlantic City. it had been 15 yrs since last there, and my friends first ever vacation, she loved it. We drove around the city and was so happy to see all the build up improvements they have made from when I was there. Truly was happy of the price we got for the 3 days we were there also that helped alot. I would tell anyone that wanted to have a nice room, and have fun to stay at Taj Mahal.. We went to Trump Plaza while there also. Could not get a parking place in Trump Mariner near Elevator, so could not go there. Would of been too much for me to walk. I would of loved to got to go in, as we were going to play BIngo, invited by another guest that would loved to have us meet her there. Well next time will go to Trump Mariner for sure. The room had refridgetor , Ironing board and iron, coffee machine. All worked great. Ice Machine worked , Ms. Kloss

It was on the board walk and close to the ocean. The service standards are at an all time low at the Taj Mahal. I had checked into the hotel and found the room to be delightful. It was only after being there a couple of hours that I noticed severe problems with room service and casino services. I will not be back.
Date of Stay:
September, 2008
Wonderful room! New, clean, upgraded amenities, and quite, would definitely stay there again.
