Adjacent to many of Vegas’ newest and most famous casino/hotels, The Tropicana is surrounded by fine dining, shopping and entertainment. The newest addition to the Tropicana Resort & Casino is the Las Vegas Historic Museum, an exhibit that allows customers to take a peek into Las Vegas’ underworld, focusing on gaming, mobsters, entertainers and the brothels of Nevada. One of the first hotels to offer an elaborate, tropical swimming pool area, the Tropicana is still considered to have one of Las Vegas’ best five acres of pool area that include three tropically-landscaped pools, lagoons, waterfalls and hundreds of exotic fish. Two other large pools (one is for adults only) are open from April 1st to Labor Day. Two poolside bars are open during the warmer months and extravagant poolside cabanas are available for rent. Player's Deli is now open from 9:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. In addition, the deli will have breakfast items available from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Each standard Tropicana Las Vegas hotel room features all the comforts of home including a refrigerator, iron & ironing board, hair dryer plus one king, two queen or two double beds. Island Tower hotel rooms feature one king size bed with a pull-out sofa or two queen size beds. Our lovely oversized Island Tower Mini Suites feature one king sized bed plus a pull-out sofa bed in your own separate sitting area. ***There is a mandatory resort fee of $7.99 per room per day that is payable by the guest directly to the hotel. ***Minimum age for check-in is 21 years old***

The hotel was in a great location on the strip. The price was excellent value and the staff were very friendly. It does need a face lift as it's starting to show it's age. I would stay there again and have no problem recommending it to my friends. Viva Las Vegas!

The Tropicana is one on the best locations on the strip with walkways to MGM and Excaliber and New York New York you are next to a large amount of things to do. It was perfect for our budget b/c we wanted low cost but nice room so our money could be spent in Vegas not on where we spent the least of our time. The room was nice and clean. Ok view. Cheap Blackjack and awesome dealers. Fun slots but not so overwhelming as some on the other casnios are for 1st or 2nd time visiters. I plan to stay here again the only thing I would change is the carpet. It does need some upgrade but some of the lack of upgrade lends more to the Tropicana's old time charm.

Nice clean room, of good size. Some of the bathroom fittings were a little dated, but no major issue. It was quite a walk from the front of the hotel to the room, but plenty to see along the way. My favourite part was rolling the dice at check in for a chance at free room upgrade! I knew i was in Vegas!

Stayed for 3 days, found the room clean and simple , well worth the money, stay in the tower closest to the strip, Paradise Tower, dinner buffet much better then the lunch buffet, room service quite good, got comp. magic show tickets, would recommend it to a friend

the first night we chose to stay in the garden rooms not the cleanest and run down the air did not work and the rug became wet probably from the broken air. after telling the manager they changed our room to a very nice room with air that was working good and we had a wonderful view of new york- new york. the pool was clean and mostly everyone was very helpful. i would stay again but in the terrace rooms

It's an old hotel, showing it's age. No longer premium, but reasonably clean and ideally located. The price is fair for the resort.

We got the upgrade for the Paradise Tower room (as we were warned the garden rooms are 'old') - the room was ok only disappointing thing was no coffee maker! They made it so that you have to buy your coffee from a little coffee shop or in the restaurants. The buffet was ok - might was well save that money to go to a good buffet when in Vegas. The pool area was nice. The Casino was good but the waitresses don't come around often enough. The mixed drinks are weak - stick with beer and wine. The card dealers were ok - not the most lively I experienced but for the most part nice.

Funky rooms. Is an "Old Style" Las Vegas Hotel Casino, so what you see is what you get. Rooms are spacious, but can be a bit of a walk from the main casino. Overall good.

First, the Tropicana is old by Las Vegas standards, and a little worn. However, the rooms are very clean and a great value when compared to the newer mega-casino resorts. In fact, it's probably the best value on the Strip -- very strategically located. Nothing is cheap in Vegas anymore, but the restaurants offered substantial value for mediocre food. The front desk clerk was extremely helpful, as was the majority of the staff. The Tahiti Village timeshare agents were irritating -- I really resent having to "avoid" hucksters in the hotel where I'm staying. Entertainment, as always, is the Folies Bergere-- reliable and affordable. Bottom line -- you can spend **a night at the Venetian, etc., or get a comfortable room at the Tropicana and "invest" the savings on food, shows and gambling. I'll take the Trop.

Older hotel in a good location in Las Vegas next to MGM. Good value compared to other places. Staff was friendly and helpful. Large room. All in all a good stay.
